Every tier 8 gold tank in the game has destroyed the MM. Completely ridonkulous matches these days, literally nigh impossible to grind up tier 7 and 8 tanks as you get outspotted 10 seconds into the game and auto clipped out 2 seconds later.

The ones I would put in "overpowered or meta" are the BZ, EBR, Borrat, and ELC even 90. The Obj 703 II and Obj 252u are good, but I know how to out play them now so I don't think they belong in the "overpowered" category, more like really good and foolproof.
Idk why everyone hates it. I have it and its a piece of shit random tanks. One hit is 100dmg the other is 800 and allways the worst timing. Armor weak af i can pen them everywhere and so can the enemy me 🤷♂️
Most terrain in the game is medium, so I would take grousers instead of a turbo. You will never reach your top speed anyways unless you are on hard terrain, so grousers gives you better effective top speed than turbo here.

Man... I remember, when I first got into the higher tiers (about ten years ago), the VK45.02B was such a scary tank to face. With a lower plate of 260mm effective, I just never knew where to shoot it.
@@MrBrander after it was buffed they later nerfed the lower plate a bit, think it lost 20mm. It was beast when it first got buffed and was my favorite heavy for about a year
The VK was tuned down, it had more than 300 mm of EA in the lower plate. I couldn't penetrate it with a whole clip of my WT Auf E-100 shooting regular rounds. That was stupid to say the least. Months later it got 'normal' when WG made it equal to the E75.
That must have been the short phase, where WG decided that its trash and buffed it. After that it was almost inpenetratable and after 2 years of suggering in it, it became useful. Till that point, it was the weakest HT at all.
Of course this is the beginnings of tier 9 premium power creep. No question. Wargaming was always going to do this. They released the weakest ones first to quell the concerns, but we knew it was coming.

This thing vs the E75... it has the better turret and insane side scraping, but the E75 has better mobility and a better lower plate. I think they'll be just about evenly matched.
you underestimate sidescraping, it allows for way more agressive play which is what you need to win games and get good position to farm damage. this is going to be way better than e75

Yes E75 is better, more flexible, E75 can bully more, re-angle quickly and just generally get around better. The mobility difference is pretty big, especially the turning. Rear turreted tanks are also just generally more awkward, you can't do quick peeks, working ridges is tougher.

Rear turreted tanks are generally just more awkward to play in most engagements, like using ridges, making quick peeks, coming round corners etc. An E75 can peek a rubble pile and bait with the upper plate, it can also quickly angle its better lower plater and be a complete pain to tanks even in the open which allows it to bully more easily and this thing will just be trailing at the back it quick games. Everyone underestimates how agile an E75 is for a super heavy, its a huge advantage and most players are not going to just let you farm them from a sidscrape. Plus it'll just get farmed by 330-340 HEAT in any tier 10 game, its turret is effectively worse than a Maus because its less angled and strong on the side.

I *still* wish that Wargaming would split the E-75 and E-100 into separate branches. Have a the Tier 9 leading to the E-100 be something akin to a mid-turreted version of the Tiger-Maus, and have the Tier 10 that comes after the E-75 be an "E-75M" or something along those lines, so that at least one of Germany's Tier 10 heavies would be a relatively conventional sub-100 ton tank.

@@alucidrust QB is the only pro player that will ever tell you to drop the rammer on any tank in any scenario other than light tanks. The rammer is the most over powered piece of equipment in the game while vents is mid-low tier. there is no reason to not take rammer on a heavy tank.

Almost no tank is protected from ‘gold ammo’ .. the maus used to have realistic armor models and now it has way more armor bc people would shred them with gold (and still do)

Eh, with proper angling you've only got a 50/50 of going threw the central part of the cheeks. It's still a weak point but it's not too bad if you're angling correctly. He selected HE because it uses the same normalisation as the heat rounds. I think the horrible lower plate is far more of a concern for a good player.
t9 is more or less the only tier left in WoT that is still fun and balanced and where you can play a whole host of tanks without griefing your team just by playing them. I would hate to see WG ruin that balance with premiums that push the boundaries more and more just like they did at t8 and while leaving most the tech-tree tanks behind in 2016 from a balancing perspective. And yes some power creep is necessary and I do agree that they have to move on from t8 premium tanks but my trust in WG to keep things balanced going forward with these is rather low.

I sure do regret going down that line... I am not nearly good enough to play a tank with a rear mounted turret. I get the odd good game, but usually just get farmed.
If tier9 prem tanks are now, at a time where tier9 has only started to see premium tanks, are already equal or even better than tech tree tanks, then the pandora box is wide open. It is an extremely bad move from WG and should be pointed out much stronger.

Im coming in to this months after the review. Im not a hvy tank player, I just dont enjoy the play style. Im more of a scout or TD pkayer. Yet I enjoy the Tiger-Maus. Its one of only two Hvu i enjoy playing. The other is the O-I t6. Good video.
I was Lucky enough to get this Beast, & the ARMT in the Crates, & I threw the new Experimental Equipment on the Tiger Mouse Now I just have to Train up the Crew.

40mm armor on engine deck is going to be a huge problem, it is quite easy to hit thanks to overmatching, not to mention what arties are going to do to this tank.
While it's certainly a problem, wouldn't say it's a huge one. This tank is very tall, so you're going to need a tall tank to hit there, unless you're above the tank. The flaps on the tracks tho are gonna be more of a problem, being only 35mm.
This thing vs T7 is scary, vs T8...lets bear in mind that alot of t8 mediums are packing 300-330mm gold pen nevermind the TDs with better gold than the average t10 HT
so instead of fixing the power creep of the super pen of all new tanks, they added turbo??? as the slow used to be almost immortal, but now everyone pen them, so wargaming adding turbo as armour no longer important
Sideskirts on the Tiger-Maus are purely cosmetic, they don't count in the hitbox and provide no protection whatsoever, for all intents and purposes this tank's hull sides are 120mm flat. Still brilliant at sidescraping but, like every German superheavy tank, it suffers the goldspam that happens in every match. Object 752 on the other hand has prominent weakspots (cupolas) but its armor is trolly as all f*ck.
It's basically a decade since I did the German lines, but I'm sure they're all still worth it. The main thing I remember across the board is the reliability of the guns to hit where you're aiming, more often than not.
The Maus was good years ago, now its just used for clanwars, to tank shots. But the german line is still good, e75, jpze100 and the one and only Leopard1 are really great.
as good as its armor looks, it was going to be even better before they nerfed it. the 300mm of turret armor would have been across the entire front of the turret, meaning that the upper and lower slopes of the curves would have been extra strong and pratically impenetrable, but instead WG nerfed it so that that the armor slowly scales from 300 to 85mm so that its effectively 300mm of armor regardless of where the enemy shoots, meaning HEAT rounds with 310+ pen can just shoot the whole front of the turret rather than where its the flattest. In addition, it would have had those sideskirts actually be 50mm of spaced armor, similar to the E100's 60mm of spaced armor on the sides, meaning it would have given its sides some extra protection and be pratically impenetrable to heat rounds, but WG decided to make them cosmetic only, like E75 and tiger 2 sideskirts. Also the lower plate was going to have 145 instead of 130 it has now
With the game putting complete fantasy tanks in the game... When can we get the KV-2-2. I think the KV-2-2-2 would be hard to balance, but a KV-2-2 wouldn't be terrible with the double barrel mechanics already ingame.

It’s all very well putting up a game with a maxed out crew and maxed everything but 90% of players will be getting this and playing it at considerably lower crew training and equipment levels! Maybe a game with more realistic ‘average gamer’ settings before the full on elite replay would be a bit more useful?

Actually, this one is op. People are thinking it is ok because new tanks are not that powerful as BZ-176. Guys just don't forget. If it is better than tech tree, it is simply op
This is the only new tank I want for Xmas. A shame you just can't buy it outright. One needs to keep in mind however is that QB has all his crew with all the skills & perks in his Tiger-Maus so that does help the tank's performance. The newer players that don't have that many skill & perk lines won't be able to get the same crew performance he does. Some will argue the difference isn't much but I believe it does matter quite a bit but that's just my own opinion.
Edit: So I bought 80 loot boxes. Figured what the hell. The first loot box contained the Tiger-Maus. Totally blown away by that. The one new tank I did want. I did end up getting all the new tanks. Got three of the tank styles. The one for the S.Conq, EBR 105 and the one for the GW E100 arty. I'm thinking that supposed idea of buying loot boxes early rather than later pays of well may be a true thing.

The rear mounted objects in the USSR tree are pretty tough contenders with high top speeds.

I'd say that both the lower plate and fully overmatchable engine deck(it has 40mm) are the problems the good players should be concerned about.

the stats on the wz 114 would make sense in a tiger maus, and the stats in the tiger maus makes sense in the wz114

Like WG stated in their xmas stream this year, nerfing premium tanks is not an option cuz of legal actions incoming on them then.

40mm armor on engine deck is going to be a huge problem, it is quite easy to hit thanks to overmatching, not to mention what arties are going to do to this tank.
While it's certainly a problem, wouldn't say it's a huge one. This tank is very tall, so you're going to need a tall tank to hit there, unless you're above the tank. The flaps on the tracks tho are gonna be more of a problem, being only 35mm.

This thing vs T7 is scary, vs T8...lets bear in mind that alot of t8 mediums are packing 300-330mm gold pen nevermind the TDs with better gold than the average t10 HT

You can get an easy shot on the side just over the tracks if you are slightly under the tank, it's not a side scrap tank

so instead of fixing the power creep of the super pen of all new tanks, they added turbo??? as the slow used to be almost immortal, but now everyone pen them, so wargaming adding turbo as armour no longer important
Sideskirts on the Tiger-Maus are purely cosmetic, they don't count in the hitbox and provide no protection whatsoever, for all intents and purposes this tank's hull sides are 120mm flat. Still brilliant at sidescraping but, like every German superheavy tank, it suffers the goldspam that happens in every match. Object 752 on the other hand has prominent weakspots (cupolas) but its armor is trolly as all f*ck.
Since i put you into my Pershing I had much better matchmaking and much much better battles.

It's basically a decade since I did the German lines, but I'm sure they're all still worth it. The main thing I remember across the board is the reliability of the guns to hit where you're aiming, more often than not.

The Maus was good years ago, now its just used for clanwars, to tank shots. But the german line is still good, e75, jpze100 and the one and only Leopard1 are really great.
The funniest thing is that it isn't either Maus or tiger. The turret looks like mauschen/mauerbrecher and the hulk is from e100 xD
as good as its armor looks, it was going to be even better before they nerfed it. the 300mm of turret armor would have been across the entire front of the turret, meaning that the upper and lower slopes of the curves would have been extra strong and pratically impenetrable, but instead WG nerfed it so that that the armor slowly scales from 300 to 85mm so that its effectively 300mm of armor regardless of where the enemy shoots, meaning HEAT rounds with 310+ pen can just shoot the whole front of the turret rather than where its the flattest. In addition, it would have had those sideskirts actually be 50mm of spaced armor, similar to the E100's 60mm of spaced armor on the sides, meaning it would have given its sides some extra protection and be pratically impenetrable to heat rounds, but WG decided to make them cosmetic only, like E75 and tiger 2 sideskirts. Also the lower plate was going to have 145 instead of 130 it has now
Funny isn't it how WG doesn't like German tanks having spaced armor, but slaps it on Russian tanks all the time?

With the game putting complete fantasy tanks in the game... When can we get the KV-2-2. I think the KV-2-2-2 would be hard to balance, but a KV-2-2 wouldn't be terrible with the double barrel mechanics already ingame.

It’s all very well putting up a game with a maxed out crew and maxed everything but 90% of players will be getting this and playing it at considerably lower crew training and equipment levels!
Maybe a game with more realistic ‘average gamer’ settings before the full on elite replay would be a bit more useful?

The WZ- 121 / 120 was used to stop the Maus back in the early days of playing of World of Tanks, most people never see the tank anymore.

This is the only new tank I want for Xmas. A shame you just can't buy it outright. One needs to keep in mind however is that QB has all his crew with all the skills & perks in his Tiger-Maus so that does help the tank's performance. The newer players that don't have that many skill & perk lines won't be able to get the same crew performance he does. Some will argue the difference isn't much but I believe it does matter quite a bit but that's just my own opinion.
Edit: So I bought 80 loot boxes. Figured what the hell. The first loot box contained the Tiger-Maus. Totally blown away by that. The one new tank I did want. I did end up getting all the new tanks. Got three of the tank styles. The one for the S.Conq, EBR 105 and the one for the GW E100 arty. I'm thinking that supposed idea of buying loot boxes early rather than later pays of well may be a true thing.
