Being allergic is actually kind of sad for me because i want to rescue dogs from the streets but i really don't tolerate my allergies ... :'( just a second with any dog and boom...
Maria Fernanda Lopez you can get those types of medication and you take it every morning (preferably at night before bed) and it'll help with allergies. That's what I have to do.

I’m pree allergic to dogs ): but I found the perfect one for me and my household. He’s a shihpoo. Basically half shitzhu half poodle. He barely sheds and he produces almost no dandruff. His coat is super soft and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. I love that kid 🐾

My girlfriend has samoyed at our house. He is so adorable and cuteeee :)
But Im having a super bad alergy of Samoyed Hair. Its sheeds a lot. Even the fur can be everywhere.
1. Samoyed shreeds a lot. I swear A LOT
2. Even only the fur that stick on my clothes, can make me cough for hours
3. Everytime i bring him inside our room, i will coughing untill my chest hurt
Suggestion
1. Please make sure you check the samoyed fur, bringing them with you for 7-10days
2. If you alergic, then samoyed not fit you
3. Check which alergan that makes you alergic.
Is it the fur? Saliva? Or dandur?
Wow! Because I'm highly allergic to the saliva and Samoyed is like 1 of the only breeds I can have around me! No reaction at all! I love them!
Your allergy may be to pollen that gets in the Sami’s coat and not the hair itself. That said, some people are just very sensitive to any danger or saliva.
How did you solve this? Did you break up or abandon the dog?
@@cayleeanderson2787 so is my son. I’ve heard the dog’s diet and oral health could affect the proteins in their saliva which cause the reaction, have you had any experiences like that?
I've had 2 guinea pigs and I was allergic to both and ever since that, I make it a mission to get any hypoallergenic pets.
Personal experience : I have little allergic reaction to dogs in general and I own a samoyed. Despite the heavy shedding, I have no allergic issue. Samoyeds are great dogs
Because allergies aren't in the fur but in the dander and Samoyeds produce none dander. Thinking of getting one myself but after a decade with a non stop shedding white cat, I'm not so sure...

I'm the same way!! I react to most cats, rabbits, And have even reacted to some hypoallergenic dog breeds like Maltese and Shitzu. But haven't reacted to Havanese, Yorkies, or sheep dogs. I'm not sure why. But really wanting to get a dog!

Basenjis do shed seasonally. I have very bad asthma and allergies, but I’ve been able to live happily with basenjis for twenty-five years.

Dog saliva is a problem, sometimes it’s not the fur but getting licked
My sister and I have a Maltese/Poodle mix (Malitpoo) and a Chihuahua/Schnauzer mix and we have no problems with our allergies; neither dog sheds. However, when we get around other small dogs like yorkies they cause us to sneeze and our eyes tear up. everytime.

Hypoallergenic animals don’t work for me... it’s the dander that I’m allergic to. I wish I didn’t have so many allergies, I love animals. I kinda cry about it sometimes 😓😥
Read up on the greyhounds they are nicknamed the "45 mph couchpotato" and they take that reputation litterally, we often say that our greys (and other sighthounds) has two speeds, 45 mph and zero, they love their lounging / sleeping (think cat in a dogs body) they love it as much as they like their short burst runs (zoomies). I have a retired racing greyhound (english) and she is so laid, she needs her 18-20 hours sleep a day. Most of the sighthounds are lazy bones inside, and contrary what people think, they make good apartment dogs. As long as they can lounge on the sofa, bed or a nice soft cushion, have cuddles, food and snacks (keep an eye on them though as 99% of them are sneaky thieves :D ) few nice walks a day it will be a very happy dog. The Italian Greyhounds (IGs or Iggy) has a bit more energy and dont run as fast as the big greys. Most sighhound do have a long "childhood" they are mischievious and some tend to be a bit hyper, until the age of 2-3 years old. After that they will grow up and be calm , well unless they see a rabbit, cat, babybird, deer, basicly anything fluffy and running (moving) then their preyinstinct kicks in, this is a dog that has been bred for at least 5000 years for hunting, they will hunt the prey down and kill it, that is pure instinct, that is why lot of breeders, kennels, rescues ask that you have a muzzle on it when you are out, they also advice that you do not take the dog off leash unless you are in a secure, enclosed area (bevare some sighthounds are really good jumpers) cos if the dog sees a rabbit/cat/deer/babybird/other potential prey, you can forget all about recall, it will not listen.
I want a basenji, but I always go the pound for a pet.

i actually found my basenji at the shelter. She was only 6months, now she is a year old.
FYI: I have a lovely Basenji, and have met others. They DO shed a fair amount. The presenter is correct with regard to the other details. Basenjis are also escape artists.
i used to have a yorkie, now i have a mix shih tzu and I'm ok with both and now I'm considering of getting a standard or a giant schnauzer but I'm still having second thoughts !
there is only one person in our household who has had a reaction to cats, non-hypoallergenic, we had to remove that cat from our home over ten years ago. no pets since. now we want to try a hypoallergenic puppy and kitten together, lots of research being done, as well as finding a good breeder, not a pet store using puppy mills. Bichon Frise is at the top of my list, but I wonder how much cost is involved in care and grooming and vet bills. and that's not including the cost to purchase a puppy. Any advice? suggestions for a hypoallergenic, great temperament, friendly, non barking continuous dog?

My dog allergies Are not too serious and the samoyed is so cute i do have astma but never an astma attack am i able to get one still?
I came on here to find a dog that will not act up my asthma there are some really good breads on here that don’t really shed or produce that much dandruff so I’m really considering some of the dogs on the list😊

Never knew there are hypoalergenic dogs but Makes sence..my Friend has American Staffordshire Terrier and i get bad hives everytime i pet him but once i stop in like 20 mins its gone, also my nose is running bad if in the same room for Some time. But my other Friend has Maltese dogs and no reaction at all when i pet them .

If y’all are looking for a good hypo allergenic dog look into a shitzu poodle mix (sheapoo) they are small, live bugs and hypo allergenic I live mine so much
I am very allergic to all animals and i have a Yorkie and I am still very allergic to him but mostly only when he is dirty. So maybe thats a good breed as long as you keep him clean always

I don't get it. If Yorkies, Shih tzus and Maltese are hypoallergenic dogs than why do i start sneezing after being near them for a long period of time? The only dog i've met so far that i can be near without my allergies acting up is a miniature pincher

Also, the allergens may not come from them directly, but by having long hair, they could pick up allergens on their coat that you are sensitive too. Sounds like a Min Pin or maybe an Italian Grey Hound would be ideal for you.

I'm allergic to dogs I only have 1 story about it. I was 9 years old and i went to my aunt's house and the had a dachshund. He was very cute so of course I wanted to play with him. I thought I wasn't allergic to dogs anymore because it's been 4 years since I got an allergic reaction so I thought it was fine but no it was bad. When I was in my grandparents car I started to feel itchy and sick I thought I got bit by some mosquitoes. Then when I was getting ready to sleep I got hives and then I knew I was still allergic to dogs. Fast forward 2 years later my school had a little presentation about dogs there was a dog there. Then later I got hives once again..
My mom has a Shih Tzu and it makes sneeze all the time (yes she brushes her everyday and has her weekly groomed) , I wouldn’t recommend that one 😬

I'm seriously allergic to cats and dogs. Can someone please recommend me a dog that might be best for me. I get allergies from terriers, shitzu, and maltese. The only dog so far that I haven't been as allergic to is my toy poodle.
It will be hit or miss by breed. You may not tolerate any. Try a hairless breed or something that stays super clean like a basenji. Any dog that has hair instead of fur. Check a list of hypoallergenic dogs. Even those may generate allergies for some people but it’s a good place to start!

My entire FAMILY has awful allergies, from pollen to animal hair. Cats, rodents, etc, are all out of the question. But malteses are awesome. They have awful tear staining but I don't care, we can handle it.

I’m having a hard time finding a dog that fits my requirements. I’m looking for a large hypoallergenic dog with higher intelligence that can manage being by themselves for a bit. My last dog was small and borderline retarded so it’s completely turned me off to small breeds.

Mixing poodle doesn't mean it has a poodle coat. It can just as well get the golden coat
