@@SmokinMonkeyOG It's sealed when they press the axle tubes into the main housing. I saw it on mine as well and thought wth. It is not for the axle seals just the main tubes.
The should be sealed up by the press fit. But if your axle shafts aren’t perfectly smooth and are pitted like mine you still get a leak because the rubber can’t make a complete seal around the shaft

At 13.05 The gray sealant is from the factory for the axle tubes.
Hmm never see it before. I didn’t know that’s how they did it. I would assume they just use a seal like normal
