However, there are times I simply want to pack light and carry minimal items. In today's video I'll share with you a tackle bag that I found on Amazon. I looked at a number of bags and I'll share with you why I think this could be one of the best. I'll walk you through the features, pockets, and storage size. I'll also share what I think the pros and cons of this bag are.

50% of the reason I fish is so I have an excuse to buy all this sweet swag
Hahah admittedly, I love to buy and try new tackle too!
That was a phase for me- when I first started fishing again as an adult I loved buying all the tackle, gear, and accessories but- that got old pretty quickly. Now, 3 years and several thousands dollars later, I get upset when I have to buy something. I stopped buying lures altogether- I got sick of constantly buying new stuff when there is literally purchases from a full year ago that I haven't even got a chance to fish yet. I was buying new lures and taking up new techniques so often I simply couldn't get around to fishing it all- and I go almost everyday. I would get all excited about getting something- buy it, and then it gets stuck back in pack or something and forgot about. A year later I run across it and I'm like "Oh yeah- I was so excited to get that- I guess I should try it out." No more- I have so many lures in every possible color scheme I could fish easily for the next year without buying any thing. Caught myself last night shopping for red lipless cranks then I realize- I have 5-6 already, there's no sense in buying another just because Edwin Evers suggested it.
@@stoneysdead689 The last comment-priceless-:)
@@CrazyCranker I'm such a hypocrite- I remember writing this and within no time I was right back buying a bunch of stuff up. It's a disease of the mind- no matter how many times I tell myself "It's not the bait- it's conditions, location, timing, presentation, that's gonna change things." I still keep trying to buy my way in- never going to work. As usual the answer isn't glamorous or fun, it's just more work- get up more consistently, be on the water earlier, stay later, try harder- don't give up. See- I know the answer- it's just putting it into practice that's the real problem. I think this is true of 99% of ppl in my position.
@@stoneysdead689 I know the feeling-lol
That would make a real nice bag for outdoor tasks in general!! Like bird watching, just keep your binoculars in the main pocket, and then a journal and writing materials in some of the smaller pockets!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was extremely helpful as I was looking at this exact bag a few days ago. Would love more of these videos.
Awesome, glad it helped! I can definitely do more gear reviews!
I have the same bag, I use it for bank and kayak fishing. Love it. My wife got it for Christmas a few years back. Price did go down from then. Anyone looking for a convenient bag, this is it!
You rock, man. I've been looking for one of these to consolidate my tackle when I bank fish. I kept hitting roadblocks cause I didn't have the time to put together the dimension (if they were even available) and figure out what size boxes I would need and price it out properly. You answered every question for me in one video. Impressive, brother! You've got a new Feeshin' friend from New Orleans.
Very thorough break down. One of the best reviews I have seen. You didnt skip anything so yes I want to see the same kind of review on the Tackle warehouse bag now.
I can definitely do that TW bag Review soon!
I like the idea of the single shoulder strap, makes it easy to access without having to take it all the way off. Great review!!
Yeah, flipping it around is nice to access tackle
I've looked at that bag so many times, I currently have a Walmart brand, Outdoors products, bag hold, 2 3700 Plano boxes and pretty similar items in the video. I typically bank fish with 2 rods most the time. I like to keep a telescopic rod on in the bag, makes the hike more manageable.
Hi.Thank you very much for your love and support to Rodeel. We will continue to improve our products to make them better.
Thank you! Great review been looking at new bags for my son! This looks like it could work!
Yeah, great bag for short trips!
I'll be ordering one of those for all my creek gear!!
Awesome tutorial on the sling bag. Looks like a must have for a mobile fisherman!!!
Great content. Definitely considering making the purchase on this great tackle bag. Tight Lines!
Just ordered one of these bags, wanted something small for pond hopping. Thanks for your review
Well, I've found my new travel tackle bag. Thanks Dude
When I put one lure per box section, Devon has my whole tackle box in one compartment. Thanks for the review looking around for a smaller bag to trek with.
Nice review D! And thanks for the shout out man! I'll stick with my conventional backpacks for now tho' since they can hold everything I'll ever need. I've been thinking about getting a decent scale, and the one you showed looks pretty good. Looking forward to the next video!
And thank you for always watching! Yeah, a big backpack is hard to beat for carrying all of your stuff!
Great review Debo! Been looking for something to replace my heavy ass backpack and this looks perfect for me. Gonna order one now! And I’m gonna order a pair of those pliers thanks for showing us this gem!!
No problem man, hope it helps out!
Thanks for the tip Big D im always on a budget and you always stir me the right way.
Thanks man, hope it helps out 👊
Once again Debo comes through!! Like u I carry way to much in my tackle bag & was looking for a smaller bag that will force me to carry less & force me to use lures that I don’t always use . Thanks again ,
I say it every time I comment Debo u da man 🎣
Always appreciate it my man! Thanks for your continued support 👊
DEBO'S Fishing 👊🏼
Love seeing the different content. Keep it up Debo!
Thanks man, appreciate you watching 👊
The boomerang is the best braid cutter ever! I got a pair of those pliers, and they refuse to cut braid now.....didn’t last long at all.
I wish they made the string that pulls out of the boomerang either stronger, or longer....lol, already broke that, but it still works when you pull it out your pocket!
Yeah, the new model isn't as good as the old boomerang.
Debo thanks for the bag video I was using a LLBean fanny pack for years. Just got one delivered from Amazon today. Very nice. Actually fits 2 Plano 3700 boxes. Much more compact bag.
Yeah, a little backpack like this comes in handy!
Right on, this was cool. I'm always in the process or organizing and reorganizing my packs. Would like to see the Tackle Warehouse duffel bag you shoulder.
Yes, it's an ongoing battle for me too 🤣
I have the piscifun version. It looks almost the same but it seems the piscifun one has more features. Anyways, if you need more tackle, you can fit one regular 3700 and 2 slim 3700s in the main compartment! I use one thin for soft plastics and one for terminal tackle. Scented soft plastics stay in their bags in the smaller front compartment. Love this bag!
I've had the Piscifun version for about 3 years now with no issues. It fits 2 3600's and a 3400 for terminal tackle very well. Then about 6-8 bags of plastics. The perfect amount for bank fishing around a body of water.
Glad to heat it held up. This bag looks almost identical!
I’m looking for a bag so this video will definitely help!! Sling definitely may be the way to go especially when they can be adjusted different ways!
Yeah, it has been a handy bag thus far!
HONEST review in the fishing world?! Crazy! Miss these viDebos. Random review of product, then maybe a follow up review? Loved it 👍
Yessir! I can do a follow up. I'll definitely have some more gear reviews coming soon!
Thank you for this! I’ve been on the hunt for a smaller bag for shorter trips.
You're welcome! This one has been great so far for short trips!
Oooh! This is nice! Will definitely look into this. I think it’ll be better than using my backpack all the time.
Hope it helps brother! It's great for a quick trip!
Great Video and review my friend it’s great to have just a medium bag or backpack so you aren’t lugging a lot of gear while walking and Bank Fishing.
My brother! Loved the little bag review. Definitely count me in for wanting to see the big TW bad review.
I would also love to see a little more on rod and reels, too. I saw in a video a couple days ago you had that Sixgill rod. I went to their website to check them out a little more, and they had that special going, buy one get one rod free. So I had to hop on that deal!
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed. I can definitely do more gear reviews soon!
Looks like a decent bag, thanks for the show and tell. Let's see the big TW bag.
I can make that review happen soon!
Here's a tip about the marker. Sharpie makes a neon yellow marker that works great on light colored soft plastics and skirts. You can find them at craft stores.
Thanks I've been looking at this bag and similar
I’d like to see the Tackle Warehouse bag. I usually never know which pond or creek I’m going to until I headed there. Therefore I have a bunch of room for gear for a bunch
Right now I’m working on find colors that work in the different waters I have access to
Still practicing with that baitcaster!!!!!!
Really practical vid for stuff that really helps us new people get comfortable with the whole sport!!
I can definitely do that vid!
Great review! I like seeing how you carry all your gear.
Thanks man! I'll do the review on my big bag soon!
Awesome review video dude. I'm needing a new tackle bag. Right now using normal back pack and I need one with better storage capacity and made for fishing. Would like to see you review of the Tackle Warehouse tackle bag.
I can definitely do that review soon!
Would love to see the big bag! I always bring a little of everything unless I’m really trying a new lure out and don’t wanna put it down. I’m kinda of a gear freak so I like havin options
Yeah, I like to have options too so it's hard to pack light 🤣
Nice information thanks Debo.
And thank you for watching 👊
You are the real OG!!! Just got me one
Hahah I'm just a guy who likes to fish! Hope it helps out man 👊
Bought one of these bags for my son via your link-thanks dude!
*** Update. liked the first one, bought a second for myself!***
Im using one of the cases from Walmart currently. Gunna need to upgrade eventually! Cool to see how efficient you made a small tackle bag. Has everything you need pretty much
Yeah, it has what I need for a short trip!
Great review. I like to pack light and that bag looks perfect
Yeah, sometimes packing light is the best!
Interesting little bag. I’m going to check it out further. I’d also like to see how you pack that TW backpack. Been looking at those too. Thanx for posting the review!!
I'll definitely do that TW review soon!
My "grab n go" pack is actually a small fly fishing pack that ive outfitted with tackle and a clip on first aid pouch.
That's a perfect way to go as well!
I love you vids debo you helped me figure out fishing alot so thank you
The pleasure is all mine! Thanks for watching 👊
I actually have this bag and I like it... it's my main go to bag when hitting up a lake or river I have a smaller bag I use for ultralight fishing when pond hopping
Yes please show the Tackle Warehouse Bag and how you have it set up.
I can do that soon!
i bought a digital camo bag exactly like this at a gas station for like $15. use it every day for literally anything. 🤙🏼
Cool little bag. I normally use a Plano 3600 backpack. Another awesome video Debo.
Thanks man, appreciate you watching 👊
That looks like it’d be a perfect upgrade for my yak grab bag!
Yeah, it has been really handy!
I use a cabelas duffel bag and it holds 4 Plano 3600s perfectly. I also carry a good few packs of plastics in the side compartments. It’s alot lighter than my old setup!
The Cabela's gear bag is pretty awesome. It holds 4 3600 size boxes in the main compartment plus 2 3500 boxes in one front compartment, plus an additional front compartment, a compartment on each side, which are pretty big, and a zip compartment on both sides of the top of the main compartment. It holds a crap load of stuff. It has a shoulder sling and handles. It's available at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's and is under $30.
Sounds like a solid bag for sure!
Nice that's exactly what I needed
Thats a handy bag for sure
Good review of your new bag
Thank you man!
I got a bag like this by Spiderwire. It’s awesome. Especially for walking the pond or kayak fishing.
I have that same scale but i added a little modification.. i took the clip thats on it off and put the big rapala fish grips on. Just personally liked the bigger grip
Yeah, those big grips are nicer.
You are a highly prepared man! I stuff my old Burton snowboarding backpack with a bass pro box, some soft plastics and just a handful of other gear. Weighs probably 5 lbs lol.
Hahah yeah, I try to take what I think I'll need.
Gamakatsu makes some great terminal storage perfect for those bags. Glad to see your using 6thsense lures. I cant stop buying their stuff
Definitely, 6th sense has some awesome stuff!
Debo I went out and bought the piscifun bag that looks very similar to that bag I can’t wait to get it.
Looks like the exact same bag!
I do the same debo!!!!!!!! Cant wait to get out there this weekend and slay em lol
Good luck my man 👊
Love this kind of content. Would love to see more!
I'm WAY behind on reviews. I've got a ton of rod and reel breakdowns coming soon!
Very cool little bag. Holds a lot of stuff.
Yeah, has worked well!
DEBO,
Perfect timing. I am looking for a shoulder bag to replace a large fanny pack. The fanny pack has been my main bag for 10 to 15 years or more. Still in good shape. It is causing hip and back pain of late. I have a lot of weight in the bag and it is taking it’s toll. I have purchased several shoulder bags and all of the sling bags have one thing in common, they hang low on my hips and over time aggravate my hip. I would like to see you review the ideal shoulder bag regardless of cost. Good equipment is worth the price. I am back to the fanny pack and a small double strap back pack. I flip flop between the two until I find a long term solution.
Hope this review helps out man!
Nice tackle bag!
What a great idea using a fly fishing shoulder pack for fishing on the move. There some really pricey ones if you check out the big brand names. I have ones like yours and some smaller ones. One I bought a while back; looks just like yours. I set one up just for ultralight lure fishing with BFS tackle and it holds hundreds of lures spare reels and line. You can add and change them for any type of fishing you want to do. Truthfully a good fishing vest works well too. I saw someone using a Go-Pro that was mounted on a form fitting vest last year trout fishing. Another guy had a camera mounted on a bike helmet. The hook and loop setup makes a million ways to use them. I have been accosted by a drone once this year on my local lake. I believe it might have been a Fish Commission one. They now use them from patrol boats apparently. By the way; if you use small rubber bands on your crankbaits hooks they don’t get tangled and you can fit more in your box. You can carry spinnerbaits, jigs and chatterbaits in a fly leader wallet too. They have a bunch of plastic pockets and hold an ample supply of what you need for fishing. I hope you hit 100,000 subscribers by New Years.
Yeah, this will make a perfect trout bag for this year. Great for light tackle and short trips. Always appreciate your support, Gizmo!
I have a bag very similar to this one you just review. Got it at Walmart about 3 months ago. Yes I never take it off my back.
Nice! I hope this one holds up!
I have something even smaller, with a belt, that i use it for my drop shot or soft plastic fishing. It helps me to be very mobile, i can do 3 miles in a day by walking near the fishing spots, but it's restrain me of using more than 3 types of fishing techniques at a time. It has even a place for a small bottle of a chosen liquid to drink.
Great bag for lite bank fishing.
Nice and compact for quick runs or simple fishing👍👍
Lol still waiting for the tackle warehouse backpack video
I know...I'm way overdue on that video!
Need to see a tacklewarehouse bag review!!!
Coming up very soon!
Great review man
Great bag got the same one use it mostly for my trout stuff has held up good for almost 2 years now
Would be a perfect trout bag!
@@DEBOSFishing Yes it is
I also use a sling style bag! Well it’s more of a fly fishing sling but I usually pack really light and only carry 2rods so it works perfect for me, even if it looks funny to the fly fisherman purist lol
Hahah it's ok, I sport the fanny pack and people look at me strange 💁♂️
This should be good for climbing over rocks when I'm sea fishing. If not I'll use it on the kayak.
Good review Debo 👊
Thank you my friend 👊
That’s a pretty cool little pack
I bought the larger one of these that's a full sized backpack for $60 bucks. It's a pretty good bag! My only complaint is that it has this sleeve that falls through to the bottom. Mine even has straps for rods. I put my heavy duty metal rod holders in the straps. I catfish about 4 days a week. I've had the bag for about two months. So far it hasn't ripped. I would recommend it!
Glad to hear that it has held up for you!
Would love a similar review of your Tackle Warehouse backpack. Cheers!
Can definitely do that one!
I like the reviews. Neat little bag. I carry a Swiss gear backpack (not a fishing bag whatsoever) that I carry with me. It holds 3 of the 3700 boxes then I have a couple smaller boxes in there and I carry a small bait envelope type bag clipped to the backpack then I also carry another smaller fishing bag with all my small plastics. Not sure if that sentence could have ran on any longer! Lol. I need a new setup. Pita carrying all that crap and a few rods.
I need to just have confidence that I don’t need $250 worth of gear on me at all times.
I hear ya, I like to bring too much as well!
Liking the smaller bag. Your reviews on the tackle warehouse bag brought my son and I to purchase one of those each. I love that bag but it gets heavy when you load it up.
Yeah, they can get heavy when you fill them up.
Another solid video! I've been eyeing the Rodeel larger back pack but wondered about the quality. Im assuming its similar to you're smaller bag. I think I'm gonna have to pull the trigger when their back in stock.
Yeah, seems like it should hold up but we'll see!
Seems very much like the piscifun sling bag. Great bag. If it's built the same, should last a good long time. Had mine for a year now, no issues.
Yeah, they look almost identical!
That’s a nice bag!
I like the way that single strap works, would be even better if you could access the pockets from that side. I'm pretty much always wading and I just throw a couple tackle trays and ziplocks into a regular backpack, but I have to take it off and put it on backwards (frontwards?) to change hooks.
Love watching your videos you are spot on my friend 💥💪🏻👍🏻💥 keep up the great work Fish on Brother Fish on 💪🏻
Thanks man, I appreciate that a lot 👊
That's cool, I've been use ing a real tree bag I've had since I was 8 it's fits 2 2900 sized planos and all my gear well
Nice! Thats a perfect size!
Can you please make a video your favorite rods/reels and why you like them/why you use them for the application
I'll be doing more gear reviews soon!
Love it, I have an almost identical one that was also super cheap 👍🏼👍🏼
Probably the same manufacturer, just different branding. Great bag!!
Yeah, I saw a few that looked identical. This one was the cheapest so I grabbed it.
@@DEBOSFishing it’s excellent! I’ve got the solid army green Piscifun one and I swear I could take it camping lol
Been using piscifun's "large" version of the same bag for a few years now, Love it, fits like 6 3600 cases or two or 3 3700 boxes, so I can take all the tackle I need when I go :) Also use the upper pouch for terminal tackle
Nice! I saw they had something similar. When I bought it this was $6 cheaper and looks like the exact same bag.
@@DEBOSFishing it actually looks like this one might be slightly different in two ways from what I can tell. The strap on yours looks better padded, and the piscifun version has an extra lil pouch thing on the bottom for holding things like rods or whatever. But other than that I cant find anything different between them. Guess its just preference at that point.
You should try solvangiang collapse able rods with that bag. Bought same bag a year ago. It's awesome
I don't have any collapsible rods at all. Would be great for a car outfit!
Hello debo that's a nice small backpack 🎒
You can fix that weak plastic ring and metal clip with a inexpensive binder ring found at any office supply store. Just remove the old ring and clip and connect the binder ring to both the straps through their loops. Should hold up extremely well. (tip: Don't by the snap types (they open too easily), but the ones that function like a giant fishing split ring. )
Sounds like a sweet fix!
You should try the orvis fly fishing sling bag it’s basicly a bigger and more heavy duty version of that. And it’s water proof
Having a water proof bag would be nice!
I love my military fanny pack, now i am gonna mod it. lol, have needle and can hand sew. Keep ya posted, btw, my bag is 10yrs strong.
Dang! That's awesome. All the cheap "tactical" bags that I got lasted a season...☹
Devon, I've got the Picifun version of that same bag. I love it! It's the perfect shore bag! And yes, you can get 100 pounds in that little bag lol. I'm always having to go through it and thin it out. I forget that it is supposed to be just filled out of my main bag for shore runs, not a mini main bag lol. Highly recommended bag!
Hahaha I have it too and yep to every word you said!
Yeah, it's easy to bring too much 🤣
I’m interested in buying the Piscifun product your mentioning. What’s they exact name of the product?
Debo. Stop. Reading. My. Mind. My best friend and I were just talking how I need to lighten my fishing gear I bring. This style backpack is freaking perfect. I use 3600s for most of my tackle. Thanks!
Yeah, this one fits those perfect!
Great review! Why don't I see more tackle bag reviews on UA-cam?
That's a good question!
