In the vast world of visual storytelling, there is a format growing wild, elevating photography and its possibilities. The photobook. It is a novel written with images, a film where each photo is a scene, a visual poem. It is also an artist's object where the design, materials and edition are part of the story.
The photobook:
It is not a photo album of a social event.
Not even a catalogue of an exhibition.
In the photobook, the solitary photo loses its meaning in itself, and becomes a part that complements the others, creating a narrative with visual and conceptual coherence. The photobook in the 21st century is a bastion of resistance for the fetish of the tangible object, in the era of saturation of digital content.
