I constantly come back to this.
The sheer starpower in this comp is nuts. So many pivotal figures in the water and on mic. Just watching the best in the biz send it for an hour during such fun conditions is such a treat.
cool to see even the best longboarders wiping out the same ways i do when im trying to awkwardly cross step n turn my longboard..makes me feel like i have a chance at being great one day :P

20 years ago I spent 2 months surfing nearly every day at San O. There was some 10 yr old blonde kid that was just shredding on his longboard. Someone said that was the great-grandson of the kid in the old pictures with George Freeth--who was also named Tommy Witt. I'm stunned there isn't more online about that "first surf family"!

Chad Marshall is not only probably the best noserider on the coast right now but he's also a really nice guy. I'll never forget meeting him at Topanga then him immediately offering me a Pacifico.

Great footage. Not sure about no leashes though, a rogue Longboard is super dangerous but appreciate they can't do all the tricks otherwise.

It is the “classic” longboard contest. I love that approach to riding medium to small waves with glide and flow and creative possibilities
