I've been binge watching your videos and they're really helpful so thank you so much! My one question is how do I show the schools that I took online courses unless I write an essay about it?
Hi Rama - Thanks for watching! You can put down online courses in two places on your Common App--(1) under Common App > Education > Colleges & Universities (assuming your online courses are college courses), and (2) as an activity on your activities sheet. We typically advise students to put them down in both, but that answer could change (if you've taken a bunch, or depending on the courses, for example). This is one of the many topics we cover in our Admissions Masterclass. Come check it out - admitium.com/courses/admissions-masterclass/
@@Admitium Do you think because of the pandemic, my activities from my personal interests and the ones you suggested (regernon research and concord review contests) will help my overall chances of getting into BU or BC? My grades are meh and I didn't take SAT cause of obvious reasons. You said just by submitting my essays to regeneron research and concord review is really good for my Common App? thanks
Hey, I'm from India, going to apply to Stanford this year and I want to give standardized tests but these tests are so expensive for me. Will it be a disadvantage for me?
Great content! With the idea of helping HS students...should we be concerned about the new changes to the SAT/ACT? What has made colleges in recent years (BEFORE 2020) say that tests don't matter; meaning they're now optional!? Supposedly, some feel Finland to be the gold standard of educational systems. They have a Finnish matriculation exam at the end of High School. Their scores become the standard for which college they attend; the UK, and most countries in the world, have standardized tests-no “option out” with any of these countries. And, in recent years, some HR departments are not hiring from Ivy's - what's going on? Why would HR departments do this?
Thanks. What's your background? You've raised several thoughtful, important, questions ... But I don't think I can do them justice with a response in this limited forum.

Are taking courses without certificates also fine?
