- In this fly tying tutorial Cheech ties Pablo's Sally!
Many many many many moons ago there came an angler who became a small stream sniper with dry dropper rigs. Pablo (AKA Paul Brockbank) was working with me one day and he mentioned a cool deer hair technique to make legs. It really got the creative juices going, so this fly that was the product of such a conversation, will be forever named Pablo's Sally. This is a really fun technique to use on larger flies as well, so feel free to mix and match colors and sizes. For yellow sallies, I prefer to fish a 12-16 depending on the river I'm fishing. Have fun with this one! I did.

Nice change of pace yellow sally. As for brigs dead salmon or beige, that hangs right up there with his cougar calls in the bushes. 🥴
Brigg's commentary contributions are the hallmark of a quality FFF video!
My wife heard the “dead salmon” conversation and was suddenly locked into a fly tying video 😂
You might be repainting a room “Dead Salmon”.
That is a good looking fly. Thing some of these for terrestrials in different colors
Who's crazy, Brigham or Cheech? It's not really an either/or situation.
It is entertaining, though.
Pretty cool yellow sally pattern, I’m going to have to tie some of these up for this summer. 👍
Amazing Cheech thanks ☕️☕️
I saw Davie McPhail puts a couple of thread wraps under the foam like a “post” style to stop it spinning round the shank. Could work on this fly. Thanks for the video, another pattern on the list…
This should be the fly you use in your tie off with Flagler and Rosenbauer!😄
I'm reminded of the old show Sifl and Olly listening to the "dead salmon" debate! haha
You don't make stuff up- Cheech!
