FINALLY, I've been waiting for anything with Dianna Agron. She's such a great actress. Also, cool her brother is the guy who played Howard in Big Bang Theory. Glad to see more and more members of that cast making careers for themselves outside of that show.
This is exactly what I was going to say Amy (from TBBT) wrote and directed this, and Howard is playing in it (although at the beginning I almost didn't recognise him)!! So cool!

In that same boat. And let me tell you, watching this movie was nice and hard at the same time. The emotional rollercoaster in this movie is just wow. Mental/emotional abuse is never ok. How did I ever survive I will never know but glad I never gave into the dark demons. And I plan to break the abuse cycle my family has created.

My grandma passed away years ago but she was blind diabetic and had heart problems it was hard on all of us because she didn't want to leave the house so we could get her some help and she was also schizophrenic so it was hard we finally got her into a home in her final years but it wasn't easy..

I’m in the same situation she doesn’t want to leave my home but fell and fractured her hip. Her doctor said she should be in a skilled nursing facility but their so expensive. I’m trying to find placement for her but it’s very hard.
@@susansmith4112 make sure you have guardianship first try to go to human resources health department or even the hospital to request a social worker and explain ur situation my grandma went to a small nursing home sometimes the smaller ones are better because they are more attentive go with your intuition my mom she felt some type of way and it hurt sending her mom but she knew she needed help and check on her as much as u can there are going to be times when they will forget or regress into a childlike state sometimes they won't eat and in my grandma's last moments she was in a comatose state where she wasn't responding at all and just stare it was hard Jesus had to cary us through that was very difficult time for us....(mathew 7&8)hope it helps

Watched this yesterday and Dianna Agron is an absolute dynamite in this. Her best performance yet. I hope she and the movie gets some awards love. I absolutely recommend.
I must see this movie. Dianna Agron has grown as an actress and Dustin Hoffman is a good Method actor. Its good to see that someone made a quality family drama movie.

My own father is dying of Parkinson's and my mother is his primary caretaker...sort of. Me and my sister have to do a lot of the work, too. It's very very stressful. I'd like to see this, especially because Mayim wrote and directed it.
If you are expecting life to be fair, you are in for a disappointment. Fairness is judged at the end. Life provides us opportunities and events. How we deal with them leads to the kind of experience we get. This kind of movie let's us see the experience of others so maybe we can take away something good to create our own experiences
In fact, it's good. I mean, it's not the masterpiece that someone can think, but it is good. And somehow, this is the second movie where Dustin Hoffman makes a character close to die.
I plan on watching this movie and I know that I am going to need a box of Kleenex for it! I lost my dad to colon cancer four years ago on June 6th . This looks like it's going to be a close one of what families go through..It will either tear the family apart or bring them closer to each other..In my case we are very close..Thank you Mayim..

Looks really good but I will pass. As I get older I just can't take and don't see the point in spending 2 hours on emotionally draining movies when I know that the real world already offers more emotionally draining services than I need as it is.
Well in my case I wouldn't waste 2 minutes watching movies about how parents are treated like sh.t ... "like if buying a cake to the man that brought them to this world was a big event, they should buy him a collar with leash while at it,, , like the Clint Eastwood scene at gran Torino when they bring him a gigantic remote control and a cake... and he almost make them eat it with the plate and all... I don't take sh.. from anyone neither, don't want to come see me? Good ...
as someone who is in the middle of dealing with this situation with a parent and several friends, I feel seen. Very happy that these stories are making it to the screen....
Exactly! I just wrote this in different words. For anyone of us who lost a parent there was nothing entertaining about it. We have real life for this depressing stuff. No need to spend my two hour relaxing entertainment time watching a replay of my actor avatars reliving me losing my parent. Who makes these Hollywood decisions?

Why does Dustin Hoffman play so many old men falling apart. In real life he is vital and takes care of himself. Most older people are portrayed in movies, as fragile, dying of cancer or losing brain functions. Rarely vibrant healthy with life force
What a pleasure to see Dianna in something where she can actually flex her acting muscles, she's so under utilized. Can't wait to see the full film.
I really hope this paves the way for her to get better opportunities in the future.
I would love for the cast & Mayim to be nominated for an Oscar. It WAS that good. It would silence some of her critics. That would be golden!
