Your step by step visual instruction is brilliant and will help persons navigate through the process. I applied a month ago, and it literally took 1 minute for approval.
Great video. A month out for traveling may be cutting it a little too close for some as most trips from the States require some planning and expense. I would recommend applying for your ETA before booking flights and accommodations.
I was working on the address line one part, I have filled in the address, but it didn't work, showing in a red line keep asking fill in the address.what is wrong? I try 3times and the apps blocked me for 3 hours 😂😢
After applying for the ETA, I got an email saying the email confirmation is not required to be shown. I only need to carry the passport I used for applying for the ETA. How does the airline allowing to board knows that I have an approved ETA? Do the airlines have a way of checking during boarding that I have the ETA already processed and approved? Thanks.
Only travellers , even in transit? But if you cross the canal you can enter for free? And get house money for clothes and food. Maybe you give a car to?
I hope the EU will soon introduce mandatory visa requirements and a limited number of visitors regime (urgent medical treatment, no tourism) for UK citizens soon.
It would be nice if the UK ETA also only allowed EU citizens to stay in the UK for 90/180 days rather than a full 180 day term and limit EU citizen visitor numbers too. Also UK citizens will need to apply for an ETIAS to visit Europe when it's up and running, so don't worry we're not getting any special treatment 😂.
@@hey12542 Agree. 90 days is much too long. It should be limited much stricter, in duration of stay, total number of visitors from each side, and reason for travel. non urgent travel should be banned. UK travelers to the EU should undergo the full visa check (prove of income, ...) like citizens of other non european states. No cherry picking.
To clarify, even if you are just transiting through the UK, you will likely need an ETA.

The ETA is required of all visitors, air, sea, land.

The app is super buggy at the moment. Have you tried through the site?

I'm assuming it is electronic though I don't think it hurts to snap a screenshot of the approval on your phone for backup.
Even if you only have connecting flight?
Yes, the ETA applies for all transit passengers as well.
@foXnoMad philippines also need to get it?
Check the site linked in the description, you can check for the specific country.
How to scan your face and your passport without the app?
The face scan uses your laptop camera. For your passport it's not a scan, you upload a photo of the ID page.
@foXnoMad thank you so much 😊
Helpful but sorry my apetite to visit the UK is zero
God give me a break please 😞

The EU's EES system is similarly scheduled to begin this year! Tit for tat I guess 😊
