Notifications may seem like they are remote messages pushed to the player's phone, but they are actually generated locally. These notifications are an effective tool to re-engage players who haven't interacted with your game in a few days. You can set up notifications with a timer that prompts players to return to the game after a period of inactivity-typically 3 or 4 days. If the player returns to the game during this period, the timer resets, always ready to act after a new period of inactivity.
