പണം വേസ്റ്റ് ആക്കുന്നത് വിഴിഞ്ഞത്താണ്. ഇത്രയുംനാളും രാജ്യത്തിനു നേട്ടം കൊണ്ടുവന്ന കൊച്ചിതന്നെ ഇനിയും ഉയർന്നു നിൽക്കും. അതാണ് കൊച്ചിയുടെ പൊട്ടൻഷ്യൽ.

In terms of success of a port I have a personal opinion rather than the accademic nterstate.
Adani group Developed the vizhinjam port they have a master plan behind it.Before commission vizhinjam they acquire business in Hifa port in Israel very near to suez .( Periplus of Greek mention Importants of Alexandria at the time of Alexander) the same time we understand the silk rout ( constand nople) that time no suez. The same point adani group operates its project in hife.
It's bolst up transhipment business via hifa port to Europe and USA.
It's the great opertunity .
At the same time Vizhijam required rail connectivity with ICD white field.
More CFs required in and around vizhinjam and nuber of empty yards also required.
More over central government allow cabotash law relaxation and FTWZ zone in vizhinjam
It's the suitable opertuniy for export import and Reexports.

Both Vizhijam Port and Colachel Port can coexist together with profit this is what our Prime Minister said on discussion with Pinarayi Vijayan. But I think Colachel Port construction has completely stopped now due to fishermen strikes in Kanyakumari District. Vizhijam Port also faced the same fate of latin catholic fishermen strikes but was solved.

Kolachal is already dropped, the latest proposal was to build a port in Kanyakumari district,but on the East coast. Maritime policy says, first priority will be Vizhinjam, based on its success the government will do future plans
Vizhinjam may not be sufficient after 10 years. So colachel port will surely come
