Here’s a tip for rolling 100s…. Use tip of your left finger to hold the cig tube in place while the plunger goes through. This enables the tube to fill up completely leaving no “gap” between the filter and tobacco. The gap will appear at the open end of the cig tube. 👌
I've seen the other 3 but I bought the Powermatic-II probably 8 years ago (I think) and have never needed anything else. I keep my tobacco at 62% RH in tupperdore with one 60 gram Boveda 62 pack. I've been through 8 bags of Tobacco and have yet to need changing the pack. Great machine and got my money's worth 5 times over.
I've been thinking about saving up for the 4 because I've been a little frustrated with the 2. I've had my 2 for quite a few years, now, and it's consistently had the same problems. I'm curious if the 4 addresses any of these issues.
1. I had to switch to kings over 100s because 3/16" is almost a quarter inch. That's about a third the length of the filter, so it's a pretty big gap and meant I had to constantly twist off my cigarette. No point smoking 100s if you're losing that much space.
2. The right amount of tobacco is very, very finicky. Anything other than pipe tobacco will either cause a jam or result in a roll so loose the tobacco will practically pour out. With tube-cut pipe tobacco, if I packed it as lightly as it looked like in this video, I think it would be a tremendously mooshy cigarette and might have tobacco leaking out the end. I actually find that you have to do a little bit of compressing with the PM2 or you get a soft cigarette that passes more air than smoke.
3. I basically have to push the tube back against the tobacco load, otherwise the PM2 will never manage to load the tobacco close to the filter. This can mean a cigarette either won't smoke at all because of the air flow or that there's a high chance of the cherry (and a big of extra tobacco) coming loose and falling when the cigarette is only about 3/4 smoked.

the way he is using them you would think he is making gold while listening to classical music.. people want machines that pound out a pack of smokes in 15 minutes or less.. you can make them just as quick with a $7 manual injector.. actually you can make them much faster than he is. .. honestly this video is not a comparison its a demonstration.
I bought a Powermatic 4 a couple of months ago and I have one small problem. Namely, lately, with the filling, he tears off a piece of tube at the top of almost every cigarette, no matter how much tobacco he puts in. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I’m assuming the tobacco itself give the flavor of the cigarette, but doesn’t it also matters what flavor cigarette tube u buy as well? I smoke Salem Gold 100’s and am trying to figure out what brands and flavors of tobacco and tubes I should purchase. Can u assist? This will be my first time diying. I am going to purchase the PM3
Can you explain why my machine is ripping the ends of the tubes and not filling them all the way? (Powermatic 2)
I have the 2 and it’s not pushing the tobacco all the way to the butt not sure what the problem is.
Too compacted if the cigarette comes out really tight with a gap at the bottom. Not compact enough if the gap is loose with a loose cigarette
@@Cynid33 I've found that if I don't compress the tobacco at least a bit into the chamber, the PM2 will create very loose cigarettes that you can't really smoke. I've had mine for 5-6 years now and rolled quite a lot of packs and it's always terribly fiddly and prone to jams or awful rolls.

I got the Powermatic 4 today. Its way better then the plastic Top 9.00 dollar Machine..I'll never go back too..lots faster and more Consistently in each cigarette ..and that just using it today!! Im quite sure in a few weeks I be rolling out Professional cigarettes.. After rolling out Thousands of cigarettes using the cheap Top Machine.. Which I became came quite good at.. Does not even come close To how well this makes Cigarettes..
