@@blackhokage1744 The American version is based on this version (much like "The Office"). The producers of this show are also working on the American one. I wish we had a scary singing little girl, though. 😆

Hell I'm an American and I love these actors and kind of going to the horrible history the few years ago with a friend of mine showed me a clip on deviantART from one of the songs next thing I know I'm binge-watching the entire first couple seasons on UA-cam now if only I can find this somewhere on UA-cam

make it so, number one I loved both yonderland and bill. I know they have been working a lot behind the scenes but for us the audience been too long since we've seen them in those projects (when it comes to these guys I have 0 patience to wait a few months! 😂)

I’m from the states and the UA-cam algorithm has put HH in my feed. I’m a middle aged woman that’s become a fan of a British children’s show. Now that I’ve discovered Ghosts I’m positively giddy to begin watching the show.
And here I am as well, a 36 year old Swedish veterinarian watching a childrens (?) show in the middle of the night, that is only available to me on UA-cam.... 🤷🏻♀️😅

No there first episode was good probably the best so far

It's just stereotypical brits who talk all posh like. And they apologise to the ghosts for making them want to haunt them, while not fearing them at all. Which of course just further angers the ghosts

They did a show called Yonderland together. It came on Sky One though. Really unique and really good, infused with their same brand of humour.

I love this show so much, basically everyone has a certain thing: Fanny is a prude, Thomas loves Alison, the army general is secretly gay, Pat has his Death Day in an episode, Robin can do the thing with the lights, Julian died amid a sex scandal and can touch human objects, the friendly woman wants to know how babies are made, Mary still thinks she's in whatever time period she's from and on a farm for some reason. Such a brilliant show and Pat's death day episode was very sad.
The army guy is a CAPTAIN and the 'friendly woman' is named KITTY.
This is a brilliant tv show !!! I've loved watching this for the past few weeks and I really hope that they make much more of these in the future. Long may 'Ghosts' continue !!!

I love Ghosts!!! It's so funny and the cast are great! I used to love Horrible Histories as a kid it's a shame they changed the cast the new actors will never replace the original. Well done BBC u did well on this one!

Took me 2-3 times seeing it on the show before I realised all the plague victims in the cellar (who know everything about the boiler) were the same actors in different make up. Duh.

Great series. I used to love watching 'The Ghosts of Motley Hall' as a kid in the late 1970s and early 80s and this series takes me back to that.
Please can we have Mathew Baynton as the next *Doctor Who,* please and *soon?

Last summer, before I found Ghosts, I was thinking and reflecting about Horrible Histories and how it shaped my entire childhood and now the nostalgia is too much...

It's a Horrible Histories take on story of William Shakespeare, written by and starring them (in multiple roles, of course!) Definitely worth watching if they make it available again 👍

when I was kid in the 70's I used to adore the Ghosts of Motely Hall, great to have it back again. This has been a fun and enjoyable series hope there's a christmas special

If people loved Horrible Histories and Ghosts, and therefore the cast in general - they did a fantasy type show with puppets called Yonderland. Really really good to and very unique imo. It wasnt on BBC so didnt gain as much traction.

Fantastic series! The way they worked out how to stop Fanny 'jumping' out of the window at midnight was comical and genius at the same time. It's a shame its only got 6 episodes. Fingers crossed it will be seen as a success and the BBC will commission more seasons.
This series made me smile so much, not just because most of my childhood icons are back at it again but because this was a bloody funny show.

@@sof6527 Jessica was the barmaid who punched Shakespeare in the Mat/Jim word duel sketch, and the second widow in the Necropolis Railway sketch with Jim, Martha and Lawrence.
As to why she wasn't cast as Alison, she was probably too busy filming the Horrible Histories Rotten Romans film and/or writing scripts for the Brilliant Danger Mouse Reboot.

I love the show and a friend in London pointed out that it seems to be a remake of The Ghosts of Motley Hall from the 80'sI found a couple episodes of the show and sure enough it is really close.Which is fine by me because it introduced me to a new show I had never heard of before. Motley Hall is a little dated but still fun. .
