This is my first reaction and breakdown of BTS Live version Dimple and Pied Piper!

I have been to two BTS shows. Newark in 2018 and Rose Bowl in 2019. When I left each show, I just had this overwhelming sense of 'Humans can be really amazing.' Going to a BTS concert is like entering an alternate dimension - our own little world for three hours. They don't have openers, and perform generally around 20-25 songs. They take time to have actually very heartfelt speeches - every show is a little different because the ARMY there are always different.
I have a really difficult time describing it. It's not like going to see other shows, it's being a part of one. We dance and sing almost as much as they do, and it's like everyone is all on this one wavelength. When BTS performs, they pour out their hearts and souls to us, and we give them all the energy we have - it really is an experience to behold.
The second song Pied piper you can say is a diss track to Armys lol.. they basically are telling us to stop obsessing over them for a while and go study “i’m taking over you” and telling they’re saying so by doing sexy dance moves so basically teasing us haha

There is nothing like BTS live. I saw them in Chicago last year. Flew across the US just for them. In all my 42 years and 100s of concerts, I have never experienced anything like BTS live. It was worth the hunger games stress of buying tickets and why I’m still holding my tickets for this cancellation tour. To be with 70k ARMY and BTS all singing together is absolutely beautiful.
search google for the site of "doolset bangtan" she is one of the best translators for ARMY and on her site, she has every songtext with translation and explanations for some korean wordplays, that you otherwise can't understand. This colorcoded lyricvideos are mostly really bad translated and unter critic, because they avoid copyright strikes with dirty tricks

You can find pretty much any bts performance with subtitles if you search them with "with eng sub"
I've been to a BTS concert before and it's one of a kind. The best experience I have ever had until now. The energy, the vibe, the atmosphere... basically everything was AMAZING and on point. I didn't get to wait long, there was everything we needed in the stadium. Just perfect. You need to see one of their shows yourself to judge them and I assure you that you'll be astonished.

Another fun reaction! So basically Dimple is a cheesy pun. (It's so BTS to make a whole song based on that lol) it's a love song to a person with dimples but in the chorus they say "Those dimples are so dangerous they should be illegal, you're an ille-gal" (gal as in girl) smh
Then Pied Piper is off the old story (where a magical piper entrances all of the children of a village because they cheated him) and bts is comparing themselves with it. They are warning that you could fall to far into the fandom and forget to live your own life/pursue your own dreams. But it's done in a light manner that is not a condemnation.
In the future we'd all appreciate it if you either find a subbed vid or watch the lyric videos but thankfully with these two songs they aren't that deep and the performance is really the good part

I’ve watched bits of your all your BTS reacts now but hesitated to subscribe even though you are really nice to listen to...you have a soothing voice, and you like BTS which is fantastic in my book. I tried to figure out what’s held me back. If you would like some constructive, and very well meant, feedback that might boost your channel even more, please read on. If not, please ignore what’s below, that’s cool...this is just my opinion and it’s your channel at the end of the day. 😊
1) You sorted the playback quality by doing some adjustments so that’s cool. Thank you. 👍
2) You have 56 comments, at the moment, below (I know they don’t take long to read through cos I just did it) but I only see 4 of your hearts and 1 comment...some ARMY are complimenting you and/or have worked hard to give you heaps of links and info so maybe a ❤️? (When you get 100s of comments I understand that you won’t have time..but till then...).
3) Listening to your subscribers goes a long way...for example, the next video you did was Sweet Night but I can’t see any recommendations below for it. Maybe it came up a while back? Anyway, its always good go with the most commonly requested music at the start when you don’t know BTS very well. ARMY know their BTS music and they won’t put you wrong!
4) It’s good that you genuinely haven’t seen the videos before reacting but you can do a little homework or prep prior to turning the camera on. For example, check for eng subs..or if none do a lyric video first and then the live stage...or pull up doolsetbangtan@wordpress.com lyrics and have them with you as you watch, or pre-read them with us before you push play. But some stage performances are so lit you don’t even need subs 🤣🤣

I appreciate you taking the time!! I absolutely agree that there can be more time and effort put in. Up to this point the only thing holding me back has been that I’m working way more than full time, and doing this evening and weekends, so it’s hard to prep, or keep up much more than just posting! V brought sassy, sexiness, hotness together in this live performance 🔥🔥🔥
Two songs I really like are “Your Eyes Tell” which is sung in Japanese and has English subtitles. It’s a live version-no dancing but all 7 have gorgeous vocals that play off each other. I also like “21st Century Girls.” Watch the lyrics version first because it’s a women’s empowerment song. Then watch them perform it live. Most live performances don’t have subtitles since they ad lib a bit. “Mikrokosmos” from their week on Jimmy Fallon is great too. Beautiful setting in Korea, I think. Again, perfect harmonies.

Next are crystal snow, the truth untold & let go. Amazing songs! (quick suggestion; maybe if u check the lyrics video first will help u feel the song better)

Yup! Saw them in concert last year. It was the best concert ever. So exhausted by the end of night because we were hyped the whole time. They were even better in live.

I don't understand why in the comments people only talk about one part of the lyrics of Pied piper.
In the song they are saying that just as we think about them a lot, they feel the same way and that maybe we should focus a little less on them in a playful way, which is very funny to me.
I recommend that you watch again in your spare time with eng subs instead of going through the comments so that you have your own interpretation of the song.

if u wanna know how good their live shows are, let me tell you. seeing them live at the rose bowl last year was the highlight of my whole life dude. they're crazy amazing and the second half of the show was just them singing and dancing and goofing around with us. they're so so so talented don't get me wrong. but their constant effort to really connect with their fans is what i remember the most about that night. keep up the reactions man, you won't be disappointed :)

I hope you can reacts to BTS - Black Swan next, there are 2 version of it the original one and the orchestral ver (its called Black Swan Art Film performed by MN Dance Company). This song is talking about how they’re fearing losing their passion for music. Tbh i love the orchestral version more bcs it's radiates so much emotion and terrifying.

RM's verse is the only one in Pied Piper that playfully pokes at Army over how much time we spend obsessing over BTS, and he literally ends with "Good girl" and says "this isn't a punishment", and then they spend the rest of the song telling us how dangerous but very sweet they are and we definitely should listen. :P So I don't think they're really dissing us, lol.

You have to see them live in concert. You won't believe it until you see them in person. I went to the Rosebowl. Suppose to be a 2 hour concert, 3 hours later. It's magic! These songs: Dimple is about : your dimples are illegal. And Pied Piper. Army came up with it's a diss track to ARMY. I don't believe this in the least. It's so not a diss track, at least to me. They know exactly who they are and that they are our guilty pleasure. ok, so if u watch the color coded lyric videos, ull get the english lyrics. then after u get the gist, u watch THESE videos, cause its fresh in ur head. but i dont particularly feel that thats even nessessary, as its the VIBE of the songs with the dancing, that makes BTS who they r.
of course, this doesnt apply on streaming days, as u should watch the actual video not the color coded ones to support BTS

You can watch a lyric video frist them watch a MV or live performance. Lyric translation suggestions - For cultural references and nuance addendums look up Doolset Bangtan's translations (on wordpress) ---- THE BEST IMHO. For video channel suggestions try Moonlight 52hz or af taehyung ( PLEASE NOT Jaeguchi or Lemoring! )- - These were B side tracks that they only performed in concert a few times for their Muster performances last year.
I believe both these songs were conceptually RM's and written primarily ( but not entirely!) by him.
