@satish rane PAL retired the 747 because it consumes a lot of fuel. It would cost a lot of money to operate it but to operate a Boeing 777 is a lot cheaper because the 777 consumes 25% percent less fuel. FYI The 777, Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 are cheaper to operate than the 747 and the Airbus A380.
