    Thanks for sharing this.
An observation for fire ground commanders. I see much of this video was taken as part of different strike teams, but no sign of tanker tactics (two trucks working together) being employed. The last sequence shows you needed to turn around and go back to ensure you had extinguished 100 percent.

I was at the Grantville fire today, one farmer went down with bolt cutters to open his paddocks for use, the other asked if the dozer that was working on a control line could just knock the wooden fence down

Great video shows a running grass fire and the response to it at its best. Just a pity no side spray bars :)

Great job of pump and roll. Hit them hard and fast.

Jim shaw, even though it doesnt actually make a difference during a small fire like this, you are supposed to stay on burnt ground. But even if they were driving kn unburnet ground it wouldn't matter because the general public dont know that it is "dangerous"

I'm trying to research whether anyone has used a tracked vehicle to drive over and smother grass fires. A 1ton UAV built to be fireproof could probably follow the front of a fire and drive with tracks deliberately made to turn the dirt as it moves. It could take a lot of load off of a regular truck and shouldn't cost an enormous amount to build. Is this a dumb idea?

Unburned or green side of the fire is better. Wont burn your tires and if the fire turns on you, you just drive into the black.
