Language learning is so fulfilling. The other day, I went to a store in Germany, to buy a bicycle and the owners of the store were Chinese tried speaking to them in English or German, but they didn't understand, so I just started speaking to them in Chinese. That was so satisfying. I was communicating with them and it was such a great feeling of accomplishment.
@@AfroLinguo So relatable. For me, saying just one phrase or sentence to a native speaker and understanding exactly what they are saying is just so fulfilling.
Thank you so much for creating this template. At first, I wasn't sure how this would help me. I'm only learning one language, but then I decide to use the 'Time Distribution' for the different skills (reading, listening, speaking,...) instead of languages and a whole new world opened up. It's so much fun to see how much time I can realistically spend on language learning and plan my week based on the info in that timetable.
@@aisthename5212 dividing my time between the different skills helped me focus on the task at hand. The time aspect was a relief. Instead of finishing a chapter I would just work on it for the planned time and then continue on a later date. I stopped feeling stressed. Unfortunately due to other studies I had to put language learning on the back burner. I can only cram so much in my brain 😅.
I don't know if you know what you've just done here but this is GENIUS! The best part is I can personalize this template for not just language learning, but for all my learning. From instruments to coding (languages too) to school/course subjects...Thank you so so much!

I'm studying for 4 years or so to become an English teacher. During this whole time I've been studying all by myself and it can get frustrating sometimes. I feel that I don't use everything that I truly know when I have to speak with natives.. 🤡🤡 But practice makes perfect and I keep studying and speaking as much as I can. So you're not alone sis

My goal for learning french and german is literally to study each language for 10min a week. That is my starting goal, but I can add upp the time I study as time goes. A tip to everyone else who is struggling to stay consistent with language learning is to start doing the bare minimum. Maybe start with 5 minutes twice a week and add up more time when you have started doing it as a routine.

Around 8:00 you were calculating how long you’d study each language for each day of the week. I feel like itd be cool to have that done in a table, where the rows are the languages, and the columns are the days of the week. For each language, you can enter the number of minutes you want to study a language for each ‘day’ column. That way, you can use the sum functions of the table to always display the minutes studied. You’d easily be able to see the total minutes studied each day, as well as the total minutes studied for each day. Kinda silly and maybe over complicated. But it’s a suggestion to my fellow planning freaks lol.

Hello, it looks very simple. Korean language is 50%, which is 5 hours per day or 300 minutes. Spanish language is 20%, which is 2 hours per day or 120 minutes. French language is 20%, which is 2 hours per day or 120 minutes. I hope this helps you.❤
i love these longer form videos with examples and details!!! so many channels that talk about language learning will do the absolute most to avoid talking about what they actually do when learning, i just find it weird???? this is exactly the kind of stuff i find motivating, thank you for taking the time to make such a comprehensive guide :)

How can I know how many word should I learn in 5 months, 2 months and every day? I really need help :/
Thank you! As you were making the video- I had a little checkbox on my calendar in Capital letters stating "NOTION TUT" I have been slacking on tutorials for some time and I find your video super helpful compared to some other tutorials I have done in the past. Thank you!
Magnificent video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.
This is really cool!! You did an amazing job on the template. This is the most in depth video I've watched about setting a language plan; it really answered the 'how' to do it. I also like that there's the ability to take what we need from this template. For me, I would have structured my learning/life this way 5 years ago, but now it gives me so much anxiety because it's rigid (for me) 😂 I already see how I can implement parts of this in my planning and I'm really excited about it.
i LOVE this!! seriously!! i've been trying to create a notion page specifically for language-learning, but it never seemed to work in the long run :( thank you so so much for this Anna!
After watching a lot of videos about this topic, I understood, that thorough plan for my learning languages is not necessary. Some simple list with dates for each tongue will be enough. Because I think when you start to write your plan too much in detail, you rather write the lists than studying a some language. In fact it's murdering your motivation. But if it work for you, I have no claim) I have learned one foreign language for now and studying two more. My first tongue is Russian and the second language is Czech. Now I'm learning Serbo-Croatian and English, and my strategy is working yet. I'm walking by same way like in learning of Czech: just the using of language in my normal life as the first tongue. I have estimated list for next languages. This are Italian, German and Greek. And perhaps I will have Latin and Ancient Greek if I will quickly finish my present list.
Hey Anna, I'm new to your channel and this is literally your first movie I saw. Thank you for making language learning so easy. It looks really great ... I love foreign languages, but until now I thought that learning a few at a time was crazy. I'll start planning tomorrow. English, Norwegian and French are my goals for this year. Thanks Anna 💜💜
absolutely LOVE all of the extra features, it looks so so so beautiful and makes you wanna study💗 i’ve been trying to figure out a way to manage all the languages i wanna learn but as always starting from the very beginning is extremely difficult. i’ve been trying to remember how i learned english and apply this knowledge to my new languages but it just doesn’t seem to be working. i feel like your setup is very thoughtful and precise due to your big language leaning experience and it’s awesome. i’m gonna go fill out the template now :)
спасибо)) eng: I bought a template, everything is cool except that for some reason I don’t have a table to enter resources, maybe I did something wrong and accidentally deleted it, maybe it wasn’t in the template. can someone help me fix this? Thanks)))
Hi, I found the minutes and hours formula. First you make the table the same as hers, with the same properties and names. Then in the hours formula you paste this: prop("Number") * prop("Total Hours") then in the minutes formula you paste this: prop("Hours") * 60 ps: be careful with uppercase letters in the property name
This was such a motivation for me!!❤ You explained it all in such an easy way and the template is so pretty and smart. I filled out everything and even started following the language learning plan today. Hope it will last🤞 I'm Danish by the way and the languages i study in my spare time is Portuguese, Russian, French and Italian (also I study Spanish and Latin in school, but I don't feel the need to study it at home except to do my homework of course) Anyway, I'm definitely subscribing. You are awesome, byeeee

Throughout the video you keep mentioning that this for some can seem extra, but I love how much you broke everything done to so many subcategories, its something that helps me stay really organized and i really appreciate you doing that.
Hi!! This video realy motivated me and I decided not to stop or even pause learning language😁😁😁.But please can you advise me what kind of apps or web sites to learn russian and spanish.☺️☺️☺️
This is a literal Godsend for me. I started learning so many different languages back in 2021, and I had no real way to organize and make it all efficient. Being multilingual is such a huge dream of mine, and studying linguistics in general is wonderful. This couldn't be more prefect! Thank you so much, it's quite genuinely genius.
I dunno how UA-cam's algorithm figured this out but I feel like I hear myself telling me all the answers and hints that I needed. I learn and self taught many languages (which most people around me dun quite understand), I am an organise freak and I am so forgetful, and here I am. lol Thank you so much! This is gonna be so helpful.

Thank you so much! I already organised the template. I really hope I have the will to follow it because I'm terrible at following a plan but I seriously need to study! Thank you again.
I am OBSESSED with this template! I always write everything so it's nice to take it digital instead of having all of my papers all over the place! Happy to have landed on your page
i really appreciate your peaceful vibe! im a (repeatedly confirmed) infj too, and you really inspire me to be the best version of myself. not to mention, you motivate me to reach my language goals with your playful determination. the question of whether all the planning out is actually an issue hit home, but i stopped doing it excessively as i found out i never manage to follow my plans, whether they are for personal or academic purposes. do you manage to, and if yes, what's your secret to being that disciplined? much love n appreciation

Is it possible to get a previous version of the template? I prefer to use that. :)
can someone help me? I can't calculate that : I wanna learn 3 languages - Korean 50% Spanish 20% and French 30% my total hours of studying per day is 10 hours
Can someone help do the maths?? If Im starting tomorrow (242 days left of the year) Im learning 4 leanguages, I wanna learn 30 words per day, so that would be 7290 words, for english is 27% korean 30% italian 23% and german 20%. How can I know how many word should I learn in 5 months, 2 months and every day? I really need help :/
if you guys want a full Notion tutorial, you can watch my class for free with this link (we have 20,000 students already 🥹): skl.sh/31BsvtP
Your videos motivate me.
someone knows the code?? for the difference between two dates?
I am NOT a planner but i was SQUEALING WATCHING THIS, THIS IS SO COOL
Yes sameeee
After watching a lot of videos about this topic, I understood, that thorough plan for my learning languages is not necessary. Some simple list with dates for each tongue will be enough. Because I think when you start to write your plan too much in detail, you rather write the lists than studying a some language. In fact it's murdering your motivation. But if it work for you, I have no claim)
I have learned one foreign language for now and studying two more.
And perhaps I will have Latin and Ancient Greek if I will quickly finish my present list.
i got so shocked when she said that English is not her first language bc she sounds so native. She's really awesome and inspiring 💗💗💗
She said English became her primary language at age 8. So she was still a kid. Of course she will sound native 😂
This was really helpful 😃 thanks Anna. Your videos literally inspire me so much. Keep on making videos like this. These were really helpful.
eng: I bought a template, everything is cool except that for some reason I don’t have a table to enter resources, maybe I did something wrong and accidentally deleted it, maybe it wasn’t in the template. can someone help me fix this? Thanks)))
The way your languages video inspire me i planned for learning english and spanish and i'm exited to start towmorro thank u so much💜.
How did you make the formula for the time distribution table?
Hi, I found the minutes and hours formula.
First you make the table the same as hers, with the same properties and names. Then in the hours formula you paste this:
prop("Number") * prop("Total Hours")
then in the minutes formula you paste this:
prop("Hours") * 60
ps: be careful with uppercase letters in the property name

How can i get your template, i dont know how. Please someone help me T.T
This was such a motivation for me!!❤ You explained it all in such an easy way and the template is so pretty and smart. I filled out everything and even started following the language learning plan today. Hope it will last🤞
I'm Danish by the way and the languages i study in my spare time is Portuguese, Russian, French and Italian (also I study Spanish and Latin in school, but I don't feel the need to study it at home except to do my homework of course)
Anyway, I'm definitely subscribing. You are awesome, byeeee
Hej min ven
You are learning Portuguese! So nice. Desejo a você boa sorte e bons estudos 🤍🇧🇷
i'm confused-- she says in the video the template is free but when i try to download it tries charging me £14.99???
because she updated the template and now you have to pay for it.
First I fell in love with your voice and pronunciation, then I fell in love with this template!
This video is so confusing to me, you sound exactly like my sister
Hey Anna i wanna get your template but it says it’s not available in my location? I live in Iraq
I'm South African and I wanna learn so many languages I don't know how I'll do it😅😅. I'm not starting from 0 with the native languages though so that an advantage
Afrikaans
Zulu
Venda
Swahili
Portuguese
Spanish
Hebrew
Greek
Arabic
Maybe Chinese
The way you speak sounds like a modern day transatlantic accent.
What did you type in the a to get these questions I didn't really understand how to get to that part
Links for language specific resources you use pleaseeee🥺...I'm new to language learning so I really need as many resources as I can.

Why are not available subtitles??
I'm from Spain and I enjoy your videos because there are useful to improve my English, and you are an inspiration to continue learning more languages.
Please put auto-generated subtitles available, they are very useful for understand everything! 🙏❤️
That short russian phrase made me, russian speaking guy, glitch out from the universe for a sec
Good luck to everyone in learning languages :)
I loved watching this video, thank you so much, I feel like it will really help me figure out a schedule for my language learning. Throughout the video you keep mentioning that this for some can seem extra, but I love how much you broke everything done to so many subcategories, its something that helps me stay really organized and i really appreciate you doing that.
Hi!! This video realy motivated me and I decided not to stop or even pause learning language😁😁😁.But please can you advise me what kind of apps or web sites to learn russian and spanish.☺️☺️☺️
ive been waiting for this since you posted about it on your insta storyyyy
we are here to help you out in your language learning journey :D Feel free to get in touch
what is the formula you used for the time distribution?? thaaaanks
I haven’t watched the whole video yet, but I saw that you want to learn Ukrainian language and it makes me feel very good(I actually absolutely don’t know what I was trying to say I’m sorry, just.) Ukrainian is an amazing language(I am Ukrainian) and I wish you good luck in it, hope you’ll enjoy🇺🇦💗
Great, i saw this video to learn how to improve my English and now I want to learn other languages
This is the first video of yours that I watch and I felt SO HAPPY knowing that there are people that love organization as much as I do (I always feel like a crazy girl ) . I loved your vibe and I loved your organization skills. Suscribed and after this I will just binge some of your videos
Thank you so so SO much for this. Literally you're the MVP. I'm only learning one language, so I'm adapting it to the different things I can do in that one language and how to structure my schedule, but this was so inspiring.
why not learning 1 language properly
I loved your video tutorial, but I would have loved to have seen the formulas that you used in these templates.
For minutes: prop("Priority") * prop("Total hours") * 60
For hours: prop("Priority") * prop("Total hours")
Good luck for all of you guys in your studies and work. Wish you success and reality of your dreams🤲🤲🤲
Thank you so much! I already organised the template. I really hope I have the will to follow it because I'm terrible at following a plan but I seriously need to study! Thank you again.
24:07 does someone know what she wrote in all the formulas below the date??? I cant figure it out
I am OBSESSED with this template! I always write everything so it's nice to take it digital instead of having all of my papers all over the place! Happy to have landed on your page
This is perfect!!!
i really appreciate your peaceful vibe! im a (repeatedly confirmed) infj too, and you really inspire me to be the best version of myself. not to mention, you motivate me to reach my language goals with your playful determination. the question of whether all the planning out is actually an issue hit home, but i stopped doing it excessively as i found out i never manage to follow my plans, whether they are for personal or academic purposes. do you manage to, and if yes, what's your secret to being that disciplined? much love n appreciation
When you said earlier it's a gap year I expected there would be a lot of videos 🥺😭😅
Yes, it's too extra. But I'm really INTO it😍😍😍😍 Gracias Ana por la motivación que nos das!!!
