    Hello John, You seem to be doing good, that's good. I hope your Brother and Family are doing well. I wish you all the best. Nice chip amp, it seems to perform quite good. Next best thing to an LM1875, ?. Snickers can always make an appearance in your videos, I look for it. So far, so good here in Oregon. Best regards, C.

    I love these in deep builds you do, just an idea but you could make a more complete build with transformer and case, make a series video of it and then sell it on ebay for us.
    I see that in some of my favorite youtubers, even the ones who doesnt work with electronics, like ThinMatrix, he documents the development of a game untill the release of it, it's genius because he can get input from ppl interested and make the game more attractive to his audience before launch.

    You mention that it will 'shut down' when the supply goes below about +/- 7V...
    I am wondering whether this is the mute circuit kicking in? (Supposedly 6V).
    It'd be easy to confirm it by simply moving the 'bottom' of the zener resistor from the 0V rail to the negative supply rail.

    Hi John, good to know you and S. are both safe at home. I have many firends in Ohio, they said it is still safe ut it will get worst soon so be prepared.
    I actually miss your class D amplifier tests.
    I built a good product based on next gen TI chip amp i believe you should try: TPA3255, high perf/low cost.
    I have to apologize but I have 2 requests for you:
    1) what do you think about purifi Audio 1ET400A? (last Bruno Putzeys signature, seems the best in class (A,AB,...D,...)
    2) you said you love music, I believe you do (can't forget your review with the Amazing sound of Jimmy page guitar in Heart full of sound), so pls "tell us your favourite (20?) songs. I'd like to create JAT playlist on spotify.
    We thanks for what you do, really

    Hi John, this is a nice video. Thanks for sharing an ameliorated circuit for the TDA7264. In a previous video on the TDA7264 (Yes indeed, the symbols for Omega are Ω and ω, so the lowercase symbol resembles a W) you mentioned that the TDA7265 is essentially the same amplifier. The TDA7265 datasheet provides circuit schematics so that you may run it on a single power supply and also in bridge mode. No such information is available in the TDA7264 datasheet, however it looks like the same circuits should work, based on the similarity of the two chips. What are your thoughts on this?

  • @dedskin1
    @dedskin1 2 роки тому

    TDA7265 would be better for me it has gain adjustment outside and can be bridged for mono output , say i want to run a bass driver with one of these . Problem , pinout wont fit the protoboard , but what can you do . Does anyone know of a better solution for me , what im doing designing active crossovers for my 2 way bookshelf speakers ,
    Now i need and amp for each driver , preferably more power on bass .
    So ,for now the best i found is TDA7265 , anyone know of something better

      You would have to invert the signal to one channel. The TDA7265 is the same chip with external feedback so you can bridge it easier.

    I am just curious to know what happens to an amplifier if the output load is suddenly removed, like what happens with a voice coil burn.

    • @JohnAudioTech
      @JohnAudioTech  4 роки тому +2

      Nothing really. The current stops flowing which isn't a problem for solid state amps. With inductive loads, a small spark may occur at the point where the connection was opened. This is caused by the collapsing magnetic field in the inductor (speaker coil). Most amplifiers are designed to deal with it safely.

    • @marianneoelund2940
      @marianneoelund2940 4 роки тому

      Just drive it with a vacuum tube preamp.
      No one is going to take a simple little project board like this, then add an HV supply and filament power in order to add a tube input stage.

    Hii John sir,
    I am a beginner in audio electronics.
    A question, why their is a capacitor in series with feedback path in non- inverting amplifier???
    Please answer🙏🙏

    • @JohnAudioTech
      @JohnAudioTech  4 роки тому

      The capacitor keeps the DC gain at one to prevent any DC currents from getting amplified causing an offset voltage on the output.

    Get one of these hifi walker h2 dap players instead of that Sony unit, It supports up to a 256gb micro sd and will be able to fit a decent chunk of your music collection. www.amazon.com/HIFI-WALKER-H2-Resolution-Bluetooth/dp/B072C4YPCG It supports 192 khz 24 bit flac files as well as 384khz 32 bit wav files, mp3 and dsf or dff files @ 5.6mhz, it has two 3.5mm outputs, one is a fixed gain direct 1.4v out, the other is designed for headphones. This is the best dap you can get for the money, you'd be hard pressed to do better for even twice the cash. It uses a ti pcm 5102 dac chip. You can even use it as a stand alone dac preamp on a windows pc! It is machined out of a nice zink alloy shell, it has some weight to it, yet again, for 100 bucks or so plus another 34 ish for a 256 gb card, which i use a samsung evo micro sd in mine, here is a link to the sd card i use. www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electronics-microSDXC-Adapter-MB-ME256HA-dp-B0887P21Z2/dp/B0887P21Z2/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
    Here are the iems i use www.amazon.com/dp/B07DL2FPBL/ref=emc_b_5_t These are incredible for the money, i recommend dakoni mercury replacement iem foam tips for them, www.amazon.com/Dekoni-Audio-Moldable-Isolation-Earphone/dp/B01M0SGE1S/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=dakoni+Mercury+foam+tips&qid=1598140971&s=electronics&sr=1-4 these iems have a dual driver design with detachable and replaceable mmcmx connectors cables.
    They have a frequency response from 10hz - 40khz. Heck, I'd love to see you do detaild performance measurements on the player! You can fit just shy of about 15,000 songs on it "format and resolution permitted." Here are the specs THD:
