Prime Rick Grimes was several levels above everyone else. It's a pity that the best zombie series eventually turned into a hack. Even spin-offs don't save the series. I think spin-offs only spoil everything. For me, the original series ended exactly where the crooked writers decided to kill Carl. I couldn't bring myself to look any further.

@@pigeon7117 Bro, I think it was all meant to be that Carl was supposed to be Rick's successor. During all the first seasons, everything went towards this. Carl was supposed to be the next leader, who would become even stronger and wiser than Rick. But the incompetent screenwriters ruined everything

I think carls death did work for the plot IF they had ended the show after s8. Think of of the show just ended there, it works completely perfect with the plot. But since the show continued it was a lot worse thanks to Carl not being there

I saw it all, and the spinoffs. Seasons 9 and 10 were very bad and slow to death! The first half of season 11 was very good but the second was slow again. I hated the woke propaganda of the last 3 seasons, it was disgusting.The spinoffs were nice but they were nothing like the main series although they are very expensive.
