@@jordanemede in the beginning.. at the end it looked great. But the shock looked too stiff and the forks were too soft. It would dive bad which had the rear kick. Looked pretty sketchy through the whoops. Now if your asking for details like hi speed or low or rebound or if his float level wasn’t closed enough or not stiff enough mid valve on the forks etc.. I’d have to slow motion the video and watch. I didn’t do that.. I watched the video and just enjoyed it and didn’t analyze something I wasn’t working on myself haha if I had to guess I’d say they changed to a base plate that was cut on the shock.. softer spring. Left the valving on the shock.. forks they clearly went stiffer. Maybe mid valve? Maybe changed the pressure spring? Just a guess 🤷🏻♂️
Go Enzo!! Everyone in Brazil is looking forward to your season! Alex, help our mate to get faster and beat that guys at the track! Good luck guys!🤘🤘🤘🇧🇷🇧🇷
Craig Decker was a pretty respectable racer back in the day. I remember him getting 3rd at the the Seattle sx back in 94. He led for awhile if I remember right. He was so small that he was able to clear the triple lap after lap. 141 on a Honda. Nice to see him still a part of the sport. Looking comfortable Alex, keep it smooth eh? No injuries.
Now this is some good stuff Alex. Seeing the more technical side of racing has always been what I was most interested in. It takes a special type of person to understand what is happening as you ride the bike. " Man, this feels super stiff so lets go to the left on compression!" Wronnnng dummy, the fork is riding too low in the stroke so that's where the harshness feel is coming from. I've only done that a couple or 200 times. Lol You've got a new subscriber. Hope we get to see more stuff like tire testing, peg height, pipes, etc.
Had one of those a while back. Helps when someone is around to watch who has a clue... if not you have to ask someone film so you can watch yourself (if they film worth a chit) 🤣
@Joe Welder I agree if you squeeze the bike with your knees. I don’t squeeze I pinch on the entry of a corner on the toes pointed in slightly. I modify my knee cups or I’ll get bruises. Other than that I prefer the bike to work freely underneath and use less brakes not more. I’m a toe rider which may be why I don’t have to waste energy on squeezing. From what I understand this is how Jett Lawrence rides. I’ve been doing it since la the early 90’s so don’t call me a copy cat, lol. He’s my favorite rider by far, he understands how to hit lines that Proto-type technical riders can’t.
@Joe Welder toe riders were rare back in the day. You see conversion taken place more now. I still see pros locked on the heel stop and it scares me. You’re fine on Theo/arch until the suspension bottoms in some deeper kickers then it’s pogo city. The toes riders get that extra absorption not to mention you can actually put more power to the ground on the exit. It’s worth coming out of your comfort zone if in the end it’s safer no matter what your ride. BTW, I started racing in 82’ on an RM 80, raced in college on a 1990 RM 250 and in ‘21 I still rock my 2010 RMZ450 because she’s still nasty but she’s far from stock. Unless Suzuki gives me an E start I’ll just keep this one fresh. Rock on with your RM125 dude, I love it!!! I still have that ole ‘90 rm 250 ; ) rebuilt motor, she’ll be around a while. I know a bit about Suzuki’s, I’ve done my own complete tear downs so if I can help you in any way let me know.
@Joe Welder i could never ride a bike older than 2016 fast ima say even though i got a 2014 125 used to have a 1988 kawi but nowadays couldn't race that on the track so i wouldn't know anything about that far back
@Joe Welder I believe every man has to decide when he's had enough. For me, it's to the grave whenever that may be but so far using it has meant not losing it. Doc says I have the back of an 18 year old and that I shouldn't retire when people my age do because it's going to be a long retirement. When it comes to my life insurance the only way I could save more money is to actually be 18-21and even then it would only save me $10 bucks a month. Elite is the category they gave me. I'll stop the big air around 70ish if it doesn't kill me first, lol. I'm old school I use a kidney belt to keep the inerds supported, I don't know why guys don't use them anymore. I'm not taking any chances.
Me watching thinking you’re training with Enzo Lopes and not the Enzo Racing staff: 🤡🤡🤡 🤣 Still really enjoyed the video. Brazil is ruting for clubMX 🇧🇷👊✊
@@stevestiffler9120 I dont run A-kits, I have stock suspension right now….but from what I understand, Enzo is Very similar to Showa and I think it was founded by Ross Maeda who worked at KYB for years, he’s also the brother of Donn Maeda (SwapMotoLive) I only know this because Swap always talks about “his brother Ross at Enzo” when talking about Enzo kits and he speaks of him like he is THE DUDE at Enzo….I may be wrong about this but I always thought Enzo and SHOWA was under the same umbrella
