@@seanforbes1034 theres a couple best scenes for me gohan remembering the bean yajirobe gave him, goku turning super saiyan, and cooler realizing it was his fault he died but yeah that piccolo moment was hella badass especially considering he can usually predict the outcome of a fight by watching it, i loved it when he showed up and one of the goons said something like "lets squash that namek!" and piccolo just said "unlikely, i've seen you fight"
Actually to me the music changes how the show feels Bruce american is hardcore and epic but the original japenese has a epic martial arts feel to it. It changes how one views the show.
Crash Rocket The japanese music fits DB because it feel it is very martial arts oriented with their fighting and training, but the Bruce music is more fitting for DBZ because, with the introduction to sayains and aliens, its more hardcore, military, epic battle type fights and training. Like the sayains weren't training martial art, they trained to kill ruthlessly and viscously
I used to watch this movie ALL the time on my PS2 back in the day. The soundtrack is burned into my brain now, even after all these years, I still randomly think about these songs, thanks for the post man, this really takes me back.
that's really great for you and your son I love Dragon Ball I used to watch it with my older brother now I still watch it alone and I never get tired of watching the movies and series it's the best show out there, these Memories will forever stick to you and your son stay safe
The fact that this song played in the end just shouts to me that they went all out and still had a gem on the way out... One of the best soundtracks for a movie I've ever seen... Every song flowed effortlessly with the scenes. A true masterpiece.
I remember when I first heard this when piccalo was looking up in the sky after drinking some water. I always wanted to know the name of this song after like 10 years I found it. Big part of my childhood
This song playing with that last scene with Piccolo is probably one of my favorite moments in any of the movies. Not sure why, but something was just so powerful about it.
This song remains so vivid in my memory . This was one of the songs that just takes me back to the days when my dad would take me to pick a few movies out from the rental store.
Wow...can't believe this came up in my recommendations today after all these years. This was one of my favorite songs from the movie back when it was first aired in Toonami. I recently started watching the Dragonball series starting from the very beginning after hearing about Toriyama's passing. I'm at the Frieza saga now and once I finish watching that part, definitely going to rewatch Cooler's Revenge. Can't believe it's been this many years since I last watched this and can't wait to have the joy of seeing my favorite childhood anime after all this time.
15 year old me thought this was the dopest shit ever. 34 year old me still thinks this is the dopest shit ever. Thank you for the memories. This takes me back.
Coolers revenge is my all time favorite movie and I’m 35 but this movie was just well executed and the entire soundtrack is 🔥 I’ve watched this movie atleast 1000 times 🤦🏾♂️
God I loved dbz so fking much back as a kid my brother would have the entire cell saga copied in dvd's and some of buu saga and he also copied movie 5 6 10 12 into dvd's god the memories
We have that in common I loved DBZ as a kid and I still do and my brother also had copies of DBZ but their were on tape. Tape as in VHS, VHS as in DVR you know that old thing that revolutionized tv entertainment it lets you record your shows The time always flashed 12
i couldn't agree more. we had the whole set of dbz on dvd and i remember sitting in front of my tv for 18 hours watching thr whole thing in one long ass marathon
This is simply a beautiful song. It goes good with just about any great movie ending. Imagine if the movie ended with a warm and gentle sunrise, or with a cool and vivid sunset with an actual Phoenix soaring through the sky leaving a blazing trail of flames behind with Super Saiyan Goku just watching it with a gentle smile. The bird he revived from earlier perches on his shoulder, along with his friends standing besides him, watching the magnificent scenery together. Thumbs up if you agree.
Damn Straight. I hope cooler gets his own movie and comes back in his flesh and blood body and trains himself to be a fully mastered final form golden cooler, just like how Frieza did in Resurrection F. That way he could become canon to the DBS storyline if he’s not already thanks to Super Dragon Ball Heroes. To me, personally, he’s my third favorite Dragon Ball character overall. In first place is lord Beerus, and in second place is Hit, The legendary time-skipping assassin from universe 6. 🧐🤗
Cooler's Revenge was probably the most memorable movie I ever watched as a child. I watched that tape over and over again. I don't even remember where I got it from. I had thought it lost until about a year ago when I found it in my basement. So glad I still have a working VCR, getting the DVD wouldn't feel right.
Best DBZ movie ever, I remember watching cooler's revenge for the first time When I was a Kid I was like 4 years old. but it brings back memories and Im still watching it
I used to have this movie in the metal blu ray case along with a couple more and the orange season box sets and gt ones back then .. miss those days. this song sticks to my memories forever along with the last song on the bardock movie credits.. loved DBZ so much as kid. but such days tho..
I don't know why battle of gods and revival of F don't do music like these any more in movies. Like the broly movie songs and lord slug and a little bit of bojack unbound. I mean after metal cooler and the the warth of the dragon they stop doing american rock music for their soundtracks. Like why just why.
i can imagine licensing issues maybe. back in the day dubbing was new and we made our own music but now its pretty much accepted the japanese music can come with a dub and they don't have to pay extra for brand new music. putting american rock music with anime moves really feels like a product of its time and i can't see it working today as much as i'd like to see it return.
Eclipse That and Dragon Ball’s Japanese soundtrack doesn’t sound unbearably cheesy anymore. Though that’s purely my POV. (In my opinion the original soundtrack to Z sounded like it would fit in 60’s or 70’s comedy than an action series)
Such a great song about going threw so much shit and being able to come back and rise from ashes and take back your place in this world.... this dbz movie soundtrack is the best neck and neck with broly soundtrack just brings back great memories I'll never forget!!!
+EclipseHedgehog Yeah, in the Bardock movie, "Makes No Difference" by Sum 41 comes on when Grandpa Gohan holds baby Kakarrot at the beginning of the end credits. This cool song is then cut off short and followed by another cool song which I dunno the name of.
Man I used to watch this movie like everyday as a kid, my cousin had given it to me in Chicago. I would watch this movie right after school while I was doing homework and then when this song came up I kept rewinding because I liked it so much :)
This track is part of my personal soundtrack of Xenoverse 2, like the soundtrack plays through major battles within the story mode. Bands like Mushroomhead, Korn, Mudvayne with familiar bands like Doosu, Deftones, Saliva etc. are in the soundtrack. (I just started playing Xenoverse 2 it's amazing game, so fun) This plays at the end of the game, where my Future Warrior defeats Mira's Final Form in the unknown future with the help of Goku, he rescues Tokitoki's Egg and saves Time and Space from the wrath of the Demon Realm.. as he goes to celebrate with Chronoa, Grand, Goku and Trunks, Tokitoki.. everyone is gone, leaving him and only him at the Time Nest. He looks at the Tree overlooking the structure of the building.. thinking to himself: "The battle is over... for now" Thus ending the story of Demon Realm until he's needed again. He'll be there to stop changes to Time itself. Against Androids, Demons, Majin, Gods, even Saiyans. No matter how strong they are, he will overcome and endure, it's in his blood after all. A Saiyan's Pride is life-saving. I put also American Hi-Fi's "A Bigger Mood" as a secondary song for the games credits being long. Plus it's a badass song.
this is the reason i love dbz movies, they promote the most underrated bands that have the most amazing music. in other words it shows how popularity and mainstream can make any shit music famous while dbz movies promote the true good music, no matter how much rep it gets.
It was my friend's Birthday. We were celebrating it at a pizzaria. It was me, him, and his older brother. Those two brothers whom I've known for years were Dragon Ball Z fans, but they haven't seen it in a while and loved all of its music.I asked them if they have ever listened to breaking point's music before, and they hadn't.Boy,did they love it when I chose this song to play on the jukebox. The whole pizzaria was hearing"Phoenix"play, and it was just the greatest feeling.I will treasure it always.

Rest in Peace Akira Toriyama
Rip to the legend 🪦
Rest in peace ❤️🕊️
It's true, legends don't live long. They live forever
THIS piece makes me want to just TAKE off and soar with Goku and the Gang. . Rip Toriyama, Bangarang. +
On god rip ❤
Mister Toriyama, thank you for everything. I hope wherever you are, that you'll rise like a phoenix and fly. Rest in peace, my friend.
Amen 🙏🏾
Piccolo looked badass when this song started.

This was the best DBZ movie ever dubbed in english for ONE reason, the soundtrack. It, plus the story itself made Cooler's Revenge an all-around ten!!

And the early martial arts choreo. Goku actually fights and doesn't simply overpower everyone.
The best scene is to breaking point, falling down

Whether you prefer American or Japanese, there's one thing you can't deny about DB and DBZ: They have kickass music no matter what version you watch.
