- Today we're onboard the MBTA Blue Line for a ride from Bowdoin Station in Downtown Boston out to Orient Heights, where I take a quick meal break. These trains are unique to the others in the MBTA, as they collect power from the third rail while underground, but have overhead power when overground. A unique choice!
Along the way I encounter someone who believes that the easiest way to stay out of my video is to interrupt me filming it. For future reference, if you just kept quiet and went with the flow, no one would notice you. Or, if that's still not enough, then avoid public places. It's that easy!
Filmed with Sony HDR CX-440 and Zoom H1 on 6/4/2018
Regarding recording in public, there’s an expected vlog etiquette that you don’t maintain long sustained close-ups on strangers without their agreement. I think most people would agree on following the etiquette, rather than having things get nasty. Everybody should have a sense of individual privacy and personal space, even if out in public in plain view.
I think that's fair. I try very hard in my videos to keep people out as much as I can. However, I am always entertained by the ones I interact with that want to raise the issue with me beyond asking if I'm filming them. Once they speak up, they've lost all chances of blending in to the background.
My favorite trains in the MBTA. I enjoyed riding this route when I took a trip to Boston last spring. That passenger getting off at Maverick needs to chill out. It's not like I'm gonna try to stalk her or anything. So what if I saw her face in the video. I saw lots of people riding the T while I was up there Memorial Day weekend too. I'll likely not see any of them again. My favorite bar in Boston is right near Bowdoin station.
The blue line was definitely lots of fun! And for passengers, it's always the same thing. If you don't want to be in the video, don't be in it! No one looks at you until you make a scene. It's funny how backwards some people think.
Maverick is full of wack people getting on or off at that stop
@@backbayproductions9508 It’s those East Boston folk…
Orient Heights is the third terminal for yard access
Nice! It would be fun seeing that every day to see what's new and different
You would really love the trains in Chicago. Alot of my friends from NYC told me that Chicago trains are better than their trains. I also love Boston MBTA trains.
I definitely would... I just have to find a time to get around to going there!! MTA has a special place in my heart though. Might not be able to change my mind, but we'll see, haha!
@@NTxRE well I love MTA trains too. I just haven't been there for a year. MBTA and DART trains are my favorite. I appreciate you putting them on your channel so I can watch them.
Glad you enjoy what I've got! I think the DART trains are really underrated and don't end up on UA-cam that much...
Like your video. I was a Flight Attendant for a Delta Connection Carrier and was based in Boston. I lived near the Orient Heights T station I lived on St. Edward Road. Took the T all the crime from Orient Heights to Logan Airport
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching!
