I'm not convinced these are worthwhile songs because you should give us ten seconds of each song and quit saying how great it is because we can't judge it on two seconds
@@breannaolssen5076 Normally I would think that. But these songs are rare and probably need the exposure. Generally it's only copyright infringement if the artist complains. Or the artist is The Eagles, who maybe stretch a bit too far. Plus the guy does talk a little too much anyway.
I was looking forward to being introduced to some good songs, but the big build up and then playing only 3 seconds of the actual song was just a let down
who hasn't heard of Alessi, or Sparks? have they been living on the Moon? Nick Lowe and Ian Dury had big UK hits other countries missed out, I guess. :-0

"I Can't Stand the Rain" was on Tina Turner's comeback album "Private Dancer" and then I heard Missy Elliot's sample in "Supa Dupa Fly." Finally I heard the original. I discovered Big Star through "The Gilmore Girls" use of "Thirteen." I brought the CD which came with the first two records, and I fell in love with "September Gurls." Finally I heard about "Sex & Drugs & Rock and Roll" a few years ago on a "Top of the Pops" special here on UA-cam.
I remember I Can't Stand the Rain, but none of the others. The Bangles did a cover of September Gurls on their Everything album (mid-to-late 90s?)...so I've heard the song, although not the original version
I have to agree with almost EVERYBODY who commented! You can't call a song great without playing it so that we can hear enough to tell for ourselves! All I am hearing is "I AM THE GREATEST SO LISTEN TO ME TALK!" sad commentary
There's any excellent song by Julie Budd called "Roses and Rainbows" which was heard prominently in the movie "The Devil and Max Devlin" but for some unknown reason it was only sent out on promo 45's. But was never actually released for sale to the public. Excellent song though! Some have said Julie Budd sounds alot like Streisand! Some say she sounded too much like Streisand, and maybe that was the problem.
Ann Peebles’ “I Can’t Stand The Rain” was covered (& prominently “IN”) the movie “The Commitments”. I knew I’d heard it before when I saw/heard ‘em performing it on Screen. Y’all give us 2 (MAYBE 3) seconds & then it’s more voice overs)! VERY ANNOYING! Really, STOP IT! (just sayin’!) 👍
I was just listening to the early Rodriguez album lately. Witch is another great early 70’ zambian band. This narrator knows what’s up and where to find the good music :)
I jotted the names of the songs, and artist, and went and listen to them on Spotify… Found some good stuff there… Really enjoyed Sixto Rodriguez, and the couple of the covers of Sugarman. Thanks for the vid.
This is the 2nd lame video like this, that was posted by this guy.
