Carli Ellen Lloyd (born August 6, 1989) is an American indoor volleyball player, a member of the United States women's national volleyball team, a bronze medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and a gold medalist of the 2015 Pan American Games. She played college women's volleyball at the University of California, Berkeley.
Lloyd played with the Italian club Yamamay Busto Arsizio from the 2011/12 to the 2012/13 season, winning during the season 2011/12 the League, Cup and Supercup also winning the CEV Cup.
With the Italian club Pomì Casalmaggiore Lloyd won the Italian League and the 2015-2016 Champions League.
Lloyd won the Best Setter individual award and the 2015 Pan-American Cup gold medal. She later won the 2015 Pan American Games gold medal and became Most Valuable Player and Best Setter.

She’s not a bad setter, her performance is different on teams she has played with. In USA NT, Pomi Casalmaggiore, Hinode Barueri, and Praia Clube she performs very well (she even won best setter awards when she was playing for Pomi). In Eczacibasci Vitra she wasn’t as great because her style and technique doesn’t fit Marco Motta’s system and Turkish volleyball. (Even the other setter Gamze Alikaya doesn’t fit Marco Motta’s system but she’s still one of Turkey’s best setters)

She's great with team USA but somehow fails to translate with other teams. Even Carlini seems to be struggling in Moscow. Her team lost to the same team 3 times. Maybe they're just great with their NTs.

not agree. I think she is better with club but not with national team. She s not a precission setter and is usually predictable. Not good match with foluke.

en mi opinión ella no le ha hecho muy bien a usa. Suele estar descalibrada para armar y a veces predecible. Pobre conexión con las centrales de usa, en especial con foluke

Her sets are horrible! She is definitely a nightmare to Eczacıbaşı VitrA (including Kim, Natalia and Boskovic). This is why they lost to Imoco Volley twice in 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship! I don't see the point that you say she is the BEST setter!!! Maja, Nootsara, Ding, Wolosz etc. are definitely better than her!
