thx so much for this! ive been having trouble with free kicks due to my positioning (i would often stand in the center of the goal or behind the wall). now i just need to teach my teammates how to follow my instructions and make a proper wall lol.
Also just a personal opinion: probably you have a "dominant side", where your hand placement is more confident, you dive better etc. Position slightly to the other side, not much just 20-30 cm like you would position otherwise: there is a good chance the free-kick taker will aim at the exact place you want.
i do the same thing. but still need to be careful of not standing too far to one side. rn im trying to improve my weak side so i can dive equally well on both sides
I can't jump to the left My left leg is very weak and my legs don't leave the ground when I jump to the right or left Can you write me a workout program?
you could do jump lunges or jump squats to imrpove our leg strength. you could do jump lunges on just once side if you need to improve only your left leg. also, if you have a friend or training partner, do alternating diving drills where you save a shot by diving to the right, then to left (try to mimic your technique on your strong side when diving on your weak side)

I don't have preferred side I'm afraid but one thing is you cannot cheat positioning especially for a free kick

are you pushing off? if ur throwing urself and not pushing off then maybe thats the problem
