The true Gospel of the kingdom: finding your identity. Why does religion teaches us to get out of this world and find our way to heaven rather than dominating the earth and subduing it? Let's talk about the kingdom of heaven. When there is a kingdom there is always a king. The word "kingdom" is the relationship between a king and his domain. We are all God's children and we are all heirs to his throne, so he created a kingdom for his children to rule on just like him and he placed man in the kingdom(earth) to rule, and because we are in his image and likeness we can manage the kingdom by gazing at how out father does his own. That's why God is called the King of kings. But God is not after the earth he is after our hearts because he owns the earth already. Man lost his authority over his kingdom and the connection to his father's kingdom after he committed treason, so he couldn't communicate to the kingdom of God because he lost the bridge(the holy spirit) But when Jesus came to earth, he came and he brought with him the kingdom of heaven.(Matt 4:17) The kingdom is not like a very very far place, it is just in the unseen realm, so that's how close God is to us. And he finished the work by sealing the kingdom of heaven in us and restored our authority on the earth. So, right now we exist in two kingdoms at the same time. Jesus said he is in us and we in him(John 14:20) The kingdom of God is in us, existing in us as the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19) We are not God's kingdom but we are his children and he is the king of the kingdom of the seen and the unseen which we exist in. Jesus Christ never preached any other message aside from the kingdom. As a matter of fact, Healing, wealth, etc are all embedded in the kingdom of God. That is why he said when we seek his kingdom and its righteousness, all other things will be added unto us. The Apostles also preached about the kingdom of God, they showed us the truth which is our Lord Jesus and all the miracles they recorded were to show that the kingdom is here. (John 4:48) Jesus did not come to this earth to condemn us as sinners, he loves the sinners but hates the sin. When the Bible says he forgave us of our sins, it means that out of his abundance of mercy he gave us back what we lost (a connection to the Father and his kingdom). Don't be fooled, it has always been about the communion we had with him from the beginning. Jesus did not say he wanted to take Earth to heaven but rather he brought heaven to earth. Now we have communion with the Father through the Holy Spirit and we have authority over the earth again which can never be taken away from us because man doesn't own the earth, he only has authority to rule. You can't give what you don't own right? Remember the lord's prayer: • Our father ( God is the father of many so don't be selfish to say, my father is the father of nations and kings) • Who art in heaven (Now we know the location of the father) • Hallowed be thy name( Holy is his name) • Thy kingdom come ( Jesus telling us that we should always pray that God's kingdom comes.) • Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (meaning God's alignment should be in the rulership of the two kingdoms you created) • Give us this day our daily bread. (Man became incomplete without the food of the Spirit which brought about hunger, so man wanted to satisfy that hunger and started building gods but still wasn't filled. Eventually, when the connection was restored, man became spirit-filled and must now feed the spirit man daily. A day of neglect will cost a lot of pain. And to be filled is to lose control.) • And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. (As God's kids, it is not up to us to pronounce a judgement neither should we condemn but according to the culture of the kingdom we forgive because we are surely going to be offered.) • And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (God wants us to also pray for protection from temptation, our faith will be tested and the devil we tempt but Jesus says "Hey don't worry I have overcome". And if you understand the principles of spiritual growth, you know that your faith is as strong as the temptation it overcomes. We can never do it by ourselves so he wants us to pray for help. • For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. (For he owns the kingdom the power and the glory forever and ever Amen)
