Hello, great video by the way. However I am a little confused, people who are self studying still have to register with a training provider? Are you not able to take the exam without this?
Hi Theo most venues do not allow drinks and snacks but might allow water however each venue has their own specific rules on their website which should tell you what you can and can't bring :)
Hi Rebecca, which Study method did you use on your AAT journey? I am looking to start mine on demand with Kaplan which looks best suited for myself however just looking for some knowledge of someone who has used this study method and their opinions. Really appreciate the advice 😊x
Hi Amber back when I did aat I had day release one day a week so it mostly classroom study and at home study xx I can provide you with plenty of tips and guidance here though to help
Hi thanks for the video, I just wanted some advice, I am currently doing my aat level 3 but im not sure whether i should just start my acca straight away? What would you reccomend?
Hi Zain If I was in your position I would qualify with AAT first because at level 4 you in effect have a full diploma as opposed to a certificate and the AAT level 4 exams can go towards exemptions at ACCA so in effect you would end up almost completing ACCA in the same space of time if that makes sense and that way you also end up with two separate qualifications :)
@@RebeccasFinanceTutorials I see your point, thanks. I think this is what I will do. Once I have completed L3 and L4 how long do you reckon it will take to complete ACCA with the exemptions?
Hi is it a must to register with a training provider? I thought self study would mean that I can just buy the books and study it by myself as the name suggests... many thanks in advance
Hello, I am really enjoying your channel. To clarify, can I self study by buying the books, say from kaplan, register with aat and then book an exam at an exam centre? All without a training provider? Many thanks :)
@yusufspahi1693 Hi. In the end I got a role with an accounting firm but yes I'm fairly certain you can buy the books, and then book an exam at an exam centre. You need to register with aat in order to sit the exams :) good luck
Hi Sil there are a few learning providers I would recommend for text books some include first Intuition, premier training, Osborne and Kaplan. You can sit the exams one after another privately by simply booking the exams through the aat website x
Hi hun if you take a look at first intuition, Kaplan and osbourne they all have courses available online and if you look at the exam information it should tell you if the exam can be taken online or if it has to be in person x
Hi hun I would say it is down to personal preference, I had a friend a good number of years ago who self studied and completed the AAT levels 2 - 4 in less than a year and then others who sat AAT with a study provider for say level 4 but undertook self study level 2 to 3 x
Hi Rebecca, thank you for your video. I have a few questions, I am planning to do self study AAT level 3 in September 1. How many exams for aat level 3. 2. As a self studied, if we don't want to register with training providers, is it possible
Hi Ahmad there are 7 I believe at AAT level 3 - advanced bookkeeping, final accounts preparation, management accounting, ethics, spreadsheets and indirect tax and then the synoptic :)
Hi everyone, could anyone explain if a training provider is needed for the 2022 qualification if I want to self study and have bought all of the study books. Thanks.
@@masonbrewer2497 Good to hear! The way its written is a little confusing. Makes out like you need to be tied to an organization for your exams. Thankyou for the response!
@@masonbrewer2497hi... could we just self-study WITHOUT buying books but we study from free resources.. could we still sit the exam as a private candidate?
@@AishaaaAb yes you can! But you might struggle... I've tried using the AAT free resources and youtube but its not detailed enough. AAT are not allowed to 'teach' the content as they're the awarding body so it's more useful to use that as revision. Give it a go though you might find it okay
@@RebeccasFinanceTutorials Hi Thank you Very kind 😁 I already have bought the books from Kaplan Would I be able to give the exams for each book, or do I need to learn all the books and then give the exam ? Kind regards
Hi hun yes you certainly can but it does depend on the time in the year I. E. if there are any more sittings for that year such as in September to December there are only few x
@@RebeccasFinanceTutorials Hi, during lockdown I studied AAT online in South Africa. When I wanted to book for the exam, they said that I couldn't do the exam online and unfortunately, the provider sold me the course saying that there was an exam centre in South Africa but there isn't one anywhere near me. Is it possible to send me the link where you saw that some exams can now be done remotely with the aat, thank you kindly

Looking for an answer for this one. If im self studying, why register with a training provider & also do i need to still pay if self study...?
Good insight into the different studying options. Have you considered offering tuition for those opting for self study?
Hi John yes it is definitely an option for future :) thank you for the lovely comment x
Very useful video 👌🏾
What can you/ should you take with you to the assessment? Are you given a calculator, papers for notes? Can you take drinks/ snacks?

Have you been able to land a role now?
