Not many would trick out their air-frames and pilot skills with a lot of love like you veteran guys. I do not have all those options, your F is crazy built; it looks great. Well I dropped the P38F, it was not fun to play for me. The 38L is much better in my humble opinion. I am a relatively new player, yes frustrated a bit at times but still, I like the challenge match ups. There should be no 'evening-up' by buffs and nerfs and match making. I once had 6 specialized against one specialized matched up but that is war. You do not know the opponent and need to adjust, accept and fight. A victory over these odds is a lot of fun and satisfying. By the way we won the 6 to 1 specialized match up. Glorious.
Good discussion yet again gentlemen! However, I have to disagree with you both on this one. Neither the P38F or the SE100 are overpowered for tier 5. Sure, the P38F is one of the strongest planes at its tier, but its not overpowered. (And the SE100 is French Crap) If you have to have lots of experience and skill in an airframe, along with strong equipment put on said airframe in order to get the results to call it 'overpowered' then that means the plane itself isn't overpowered, it either means the parts are too strong, or your skills in said airframe are that far above the rest of the tier. The real OP aircraft at tier five are the 109E (because of its stupid high maneuverability + armament) and P40N (Its a P40 with a gunslot). You can make an argument for the P40 being on that list as well, since the P40N exists and is the same airframe, but that is admittedly a harder sell. You're right , strong but not overpowered , I guess the guys have watched to much of my videos :) hehehe the fact that I can beats the Beaufighter in my Se-100 doesn't mean anything, and it certainly doesn't mean that the SE is OP in Beaufighter I can do much more and beat the SE-100 in 1vs1 , but Tempest Talks it's a cool concept o7
We develop these views based on our own fairly vast time in the game, Corvus and I would not want to be barking the exact same thing others are saying, that would look scripted of course!
The regular Beaufighter is strong as a sector flipper, while it suffers from a lack of speed and agility compared to the P-38F and overall firepower punch compared to the SE-100. The Beaufighter Mark V suffers from fewer, but more powerful tier 6 cannons as opposed to the regular Beaufighter, but the characteristics otherwise remain practically the same. Head to head either way my money would still be on the SE 100. OP is subjective to a variable degree, but statistics are a good way to guage such things in between lines of opinions. But one thing I think many can agree with is that no one is talking about the Bf 110 E being overpowered.
@@TheNovaTempest Beaufighter is strong as a sector flipper yes but It has much more firepower than the P-38 and much more HP this is a lot of trade-off for less maneuverability and flight altitude considering he hav a strong tail gunner , and compared to the SE-100 :) Beaufighter is much more maneuverable , have greater firepower and much more HP , I'd say that's a lot of advantage , but you know everything depends on the situation and the map, of course. o7

Meh. They are only good for experienced pilots. Typical Tier V players struggle.
I have never yet met a Beaufighter nor an SE100 player who could beat me in a straight up fight with my P-38. Either flavor of Beaufighter.
