"In My Arms" is the dejected and resigned inner cry of queen Shena, her aching eyes, now witnessing the awful duel between Daltor and Sendor, are the same that saw her son Surod (Dorus) pass away 16 years ago.

The song is beautiful, but when you understand the story of the Black Crystal Sword it's incredibly powerful and sad. She's mourning the death of her baby while watching her lover go crazy. Ancient Bards is full of amazing songs like this and I can't wait for their new story to begin.

It comes with being Italian. Italians are among the most emotional expressive people in the world, and it shows in all art forms and media. Italian painters show more passion than other Europeans. Italian chefs make food with more flavor than chefs of other nations as well. It's a cultural thing.

A friend of mine said they discovered this band, I implored him to listen to all 3 current albums all at once and study the meaning of the story; I've never seen someoe so happy and satisfied with it.
If you listen to just a few songs of theirs, please, PLEASE take the time to listen to the first to last songs, even if you need to follow the lyrics. It's like a film. You can imagine the storyline in your mind, and you have Sara singing it to you!!

Very underrated band. I recently discovered them and they are much better, than many of the stars of power metal. Blind Guardian is still the king, but I look forward to more from ancient bards.

I am from Christchurch New Zealand. For some reason this song has resonated in me for the last few days since the 15 March atrocity in my city (near my home). I do not know why but Sara's voice and the Italian language passage are just so calming. I only hope that 50 people and their surviving families find peace

Has to be one of the best symphonic metal songs of all time absolutely incredible. Ancient Bards are one of my favourite bands ever. Absolutely incredible instrumentals lyrics and especially the most beautiful angelic vocals.
I liked this song so much that it made it check all the story behind it.
Knowing what it's all about and what happened to this point of the story, man it's like listening to another song. The emotion hits really hard here.
I really don't know how this band is not more widely known. Something must be really rotten in this world.
