- More Rock Band 4 unresponsive hijinx...
Just pumping this one out for the sake of it. I actually downloaded the firmware update for the kit and it works like a charm. It's still unresponsive if you don't hit it in the center, but hey, if it's anything I've learned from playing Rock Band for eight years and having octobans on my actual drum kit, it's how to hit the center of a six inch target. The bass is still very unresponsive even with the update, but it's slightly more playable now.

Super duper late but yea absolutely insanely hard, I genuinely can’t comprehend how drummers can use a kick pedal for the bass and drum at the same time never mind 2 kick pedals, especially when they have to use it on an offbeat.
I was better at the drums when playing this game but I played the endless setlist on the guitar bc if I were to play the drums I’d get tired super fast💀 especially painkiller omg

CRT monitors have much lower latency than modern monitors. I use one for Quake

Harmonix shit on us (Rock band 4 players) with all of the songs that they chose, 60 songs that are shit with the exception of like 5. Am I the only one who thinks this?

+MarcoPlayzAll There is a simple solution to this issue, Get USB instruments and get Phase Shift on PC. You can get any song you want to lol if there is a download link for it.
How come I see other rock band 4 drum videos and their kits have cymbals?
William G they probably use their own electric drum kit and connects it to their console. What you see here is the default drum kit rock band gives you

I wish there was a drum hero game that was solely for drummers. I have an electric drum that I can hook up already, but this tab is not actually a real representation of what these drummers are playing on these songs. We need something more accurate that utilizes a full drum set with all techniques interpreted on more than just 4 pads. It's time for a Drumsmith game!

i think harmonix should have used a better song than this, for example, Blinded In Chains, Save Me, Buried Alive or even M.I.A.
Blinded in chains would be extremely difficuilt and save me would be impossible to play on shitty rock band 4 drums
But you have to remember hail to the king was one of the top voted songs when Rock Band 4 was announced

Hail to the king is one of their greatest songs but you think otherwise they could have added in beast and the harlot or even better Nightmare. Which is even harder than this so you should take what you got

i bought my Xbox a bit of time ago. ofcourse the 360 cuz it has the good old games and its now quite cheap. For some reason when i bought Rock Band 3 to it, it had over 400 songs! Guess i hit the jackpot
Hail to the King is nowhere near their greatest song this is probably one of their worst albums. I love the Stage though. But anyways there were probably like 2-4 good songs on this album.
Yeah I agree with Eclipse Editor. It sounded so simple and just in general sounded bad. This means war was just a Metallica rip off too. I probably only liked Acid Rain and Shepherd of Fire on that album.

+gamefreak249 I believe there is a way for roland and ion support by using the world tour drum brain. i havent looked into it but its worth looking into it yourself if you want a chance at playing rb4 w them.

I don't get how people can use the foot pedal. It's not the timing or anything that bothers me, but I don't really have a comfortable setup where my foot on the pedal is actually comfortable. I guess I'm just not used to it, idk. Damn, though. Wish I could play the drums as well as this dude. I can barely manage medium. LOL
I have the same problem. Like you said, it's not the timing that's the issue, but sometime into a song, my foot gets weary from constantly pressing on the pedal. Maybe we're just not used to the instrument or are stepping on the bass in a 'less comfortable' position.
***** For me, it's having my foot angled upward in between the times I need to press it. It tires my ankle out ridiculously quickly. Maybe I need to get in shape. xD
+Lexi You don't hold your foot up on the pedal when you're not using it, you keep the pedal pressed down with your foot after the last note you hit and until the next note. When the next note is coming you lift your foot up and push it back down at the right time and then keep the pedal down and repeat. If that makes sense

you just need a certain percentage more than the the songs five star score if i rmember right
The only time i was able to acheive gold in the 2nd was by getting 100% on expert if missed only one it wouldnt come up (Tested it)
+Brandon Jorgensen I have gold stars in a ton of songs in RB2, you definitely don't need 100%. The score determines gold stars, not the percentage of notes hit
+Brandon Jorgensen Pretty sure gold was 1.5x the score for 5 stars. You dont need 100%, just a high enough score which means not breaking combo too many times.

+stephen the dude That's what I was about to ask tbh. If Guitar Hero Live kept the normal color button scheme, it would've actually competed with Rock Band 4 but since it didn't, it just failed.
Guitar hero live gives a good challenge to play on hard and expert. Only problem i'm having with guitar hero live is my controller keeps disconnecting and i have problems connecting it.
I did this one today on expert and got 87% first try it's not hard

I like how you say you just hate the drums, I'm not that great, I can't do a lot of songs on expert but I can consistently get 99.9% of this song I usually just lose concentration or lose a bit of timing and miss one note, but I mention that because I love this song but I think it's their new drummer, he's good in his own right but with everything the rev did for A7X, just imagine what he would've done on this song, I know it may not be right to compare but that's just how it is sometimes
They got another drummer in 2015 the guy for Bad Religion, Brooks Wackerman. I agree with you, the guy before him was probably the worst drummer they've ever had. His drumming was so simple sounding and wasn't really a head banger.
