My Papa used to play this in the car for my sister and I when we were kids, we called it 'the bang song' and made him play it on repeat. Tomorrow it's being played at his funeral.
I heard this for the first time today..I’m just speechless that such beauty can be born in such a world … I’m in a very dark place now but this piece made things better for a while and will again & again & again
My mother was listening to ABC Classic FM and asked me to join her to listen to this beautiful music. It really is special. Glad to find this video here so I can play it for her, and I’ll get to hear the full thing this time! Music like this is a truly powerful and amazing thing. Good for the soul 😍
Sadly my dad passed away a couple of weeks ago, at the age of 98. At his funeral on Monday we are entering the church to this wonderful piece of music - dad chose it himself. For a number of years he was a Director and Secretary of The National Youth Choir of Great Britain, so it has an extra special meaning for him and the family ❤
I just love this track we do need world peace now instead of the war around the globe this is so powerful it gets me crying all the time our troops put there life on the line to keep us all safe around the world
The first time I heard this, tears started in my eyes and I absolutely loved this music. It makes me proud to be British. I never stop listening to this as it will always remind me of everyone I love and adore in my family and friends 🇬🇧
Good to note that the images used in this video are sent by listeners who have been inspired by Jenkin's Benedictus. There was a contest running on his website, which led to the publication of this video. I myself was introduced to Jenkins in my wedding by the composer wrote the music for our wedding mass celebration. 3 months later, Benedictus was a huge inspiration to us, when my wife lost her first born due a miscarriage. I imagine Benedictus being sung by the angels whenever one of these children of God arrives at the gates of heaven. Wonderful piece of work.
Just found out your great musical piece through Mass of the Ages documentary and the first time hearing it just made me cry already. I thank God for your talent, Sir Karl Jenkins! Hosanna in Excelsis Deo!!!
This, I'd say, is one of the most beautiful religious musics, ever written. Absolutely marvelous. Thanks for it, Sir Karl, the whole mankind should be grateful for it. To me, it's what I listen to when my mind needs peace.
Just a few days ago, I had the incredible opportunity to sing this masterpiece in a choir. Listening it back, it really brings tears of joy. This music is just too beautiful. I am so, so, so grateful for the opportunity and the fact that music like this exists. Thank you for making this, Karl Jenkins! :) May the world soon be a peaceful place, where everyone can have joy in listening to music like this together!
I am not sure why but I think that this piece of wonderful music is so appropriate on hearing the sad news of the passing of Captain Tom Moore. R.I.P Captain. I never knew you personally but you will always be in my thoughts and heart for the wonderful thing that you did. A very very true hero
Thank you for this wonderful, soul soothing piece of music. No one should fear death after hearing this. I want this played at my funeral as I am sure it will comfort my loved ones left behind to mourn me.
I hace seen several versions of this powerful piece, and I just can't get enough of it. Thank you, Master, for bringing some peace to this troubled world. Absolute bliss!!
Sir Karl Jenkins, magnífico, un regalo para los oídos y el alma, aquí estoy con los ojos llenos de lágrimas y un nudo en la garganta, el corazón totalmente tocado por la emoción más profunda. Gracias infinitas
This is so beautiful, I heard this live at the Wembley arena performed by the 2cellos they are true musical geniuses and to hear it live was exquisite, I highly recommend anyone who likes this to go and hear that version next.
I absolutely L❤VE this song so much that it's one of the songs I play to help me relax and sleep it also helps me up lift myself to motivate my day and helps me focus better to. One of my greatest sounds and songs of all time thank u for the person who created this song❤
Too many thoughts as too many words to capture my feelings and emotions which simply all got wings and flew "away" listening to your masterpiece...... In times of happy moments we enjoy the smiles and the joy of music in all kind of sorts: in times of sorrow and reflection we need the warmth and the shoulders to lean & cry on, XII. Benedictus is spot on to allow us the listener to literally float away in our deepest hidden corners which our heart has. Like many others, thank you Karl Jenkins for sharing your ability to unlock secret chambers ....thank you not just for these amazing 7 minutes plus 'escape' but for making us imagine how "Heaven" could look like. Be all safe out there from Covid 19, reach out to those less fortunate and look after the elder who often are alone and could help a helping hand; we're all together on this sometimes 'confused' planet we call Earth.
Wow! So pleased to see the finished video. I think I counted 8 or 9 of my photos in this. So happy! It has made my day and I love the music so much. Robin.
Why! Always Why! All the questions of my Life in one refrain, the Pain Trauma and degradation, Why, Always Why! And under the cries whispers the voice “do not worry, all is well” Oh but the questions Why! Begs for answers; discussions, hither and thither equal among women and men; because, maybe, perhaps…. Jubilation! The answer as we speak together as One for this, as One, is how we can work it all out, United, not separate and divided. And the whisper becomes a gentle placation “There, you see? You need not have worried, I was always with you. I am always with you, and will forever Be”.🙏
People are taking the piss out of you Karl. One user has uploaded your music and you aren't getting the money from the view. The views on just one video are approaching 2 million
How strange that comment is on Karl's channel. The music is to promote peace. But you are implying fury as a direct action because the music of Karl Jenkins is being made widely available. I cannot speak for the man, but I do wonder if he is elated that many are hearing his music, or consumed by anger that he might be missing out on royalties...
