Thanks...I didn't know that. I still wish he had more to do though. I mean I get that he's just Huey's dad but I'm sure theres more he could do. He's prolly been too busy with the Mission Impossible movies the past few years to have a bigger part.

I believe I answered that question in my review silly. Of course I saw the previous seasons. Why would i start watching a show on season 4???
I thought it was good and the show has done a lot of politics, it was being set up. It is great so far. Sage is an awesome character and has something up her sleeve, no doubt about it. I think the first 3 episodes are build up. My main qualm is the writers won't give us the relationship we all want which is Kimeko and Frenchy, but there is some hope left still or the writers are teasing us.
I’m glad someone else finally shares similar thoughts on this show. Hughie surviving the vent scene in episode 3 required so much plot armor, and poses questions like. Why didn’t Homelander keep lasering the vent duct that Hughie was crawling in? Why didn’t Homelander fly up to the air duct that he could hear Hughie crawling in and kill him? Why didn’t Homelander use his super speed to chase after Hughie while he was on the catwalk? How did Hughie survive the half dozen turns A-Train made while carrying Hughie in his arms, and not get whiplash (we see how A-Train was carrying Hughie in behind the scenes footage, and it wouldn’t have ended well for Hughie). Why didn’t Splinter and his clones just shoot Kimiko, Frenchie, and Mother’s Milk while they were literally 6 feet away with assault rifles pointed at them? Yes, they had pinkeye, but pinkeye doesn’t prevent you from pulling the trigger of gun and spraying a dozen bullets in their direction.
For sure. I actually thought he was gonna finally die cuz that should have been unsurvivable. He literally missed by like a foot. Real Homelander would’ve destroyed all the vents in 2 seconds.

The Hughie Mom and Frenchie new boyfriend story arcs just ruined the opening for me and my gang, they are more suited for a season 1 or 2 openings, not this far ahead.
And usually more action backed openings . Over all, season 2 and 3 openings are the best. Lets wait and see the rest of the season.

They only cared about the part that angered them lol. Basically they are becoming the targets of this seasons jokes.
I'm sure the only reason why Jeffrey Dean Morgan hasn't done something vital in the show yet is because they still need to set his character. We need to know his personality, his mannerisms, all of that before he does something to the plot otherwise it'll feel rushed, and no one likes an A-Train'ed character arc

Spoiler: my biggest gripe is Frenchie's plot in this season. First, I absolutely loathe stupid love triangles and while Kimiko has made it clear she loves him but not "that way," they set them up in season 3 with some sexual tension, and then in the first S4 episode, not only is Frenchie getting frenched by someone else, but this guy came out of nowhere. I'm sure there's some random mention of Colin in some transitional episode in S1 that I'm supposed to know, but jeez...it's actually kind of insulting. This is a token gay couple; Colin has no development and we don't know how these two got together. He's just handsome, troubled, but otherwise a Gary Sue. If this is a relationship and not just a fling, at least show it, and develop Colin into a 3-dimensional character, not just a plot tool for Frenchie and to virtue signal for audiences. I'm kind of disappointed with the creators for being lazy on this one.
It does seem a bit out of the blue. They mentioned that Collins family was killed by Frenchie. I don’t remember if they showed that previously or not. I did always get bi vibes from Frenchie though.
A little upset with you but I was thinking the exact same thing when watching episode 1.

@ShowtimeandJoysticks nah, not really. I followed like 98% of these 3 episodes I thought they were pretty good tbh. Everyone is mad about the political narratives but it was fine. I just would like them to speed things up just a bit, it all feels like it's either rehashing or moving slowly. But it's cool

I actually think after one or two seasons the show got way too political and it’s just lame. “IT’S SATIRE!!!” Yeah doesn’t change the fact that it’s cringe and not at all entertaining to watch.

Oh it’s not going over my head. I see exactly that it’s supposed to be parody. I just disagree with how much of it has been happening in these first 3 episodes. That’s it. I swear these comments are funny. You guys act like I hate the show. I’ve watched every episode from all 3 seasons twice and watched Gen V. I’m a huge fan, but I still stand by everything I said in this video.

It has consistently covered the me too movement , cancel culture, the military industrial complex and capitalism. It’s doing the same thing with our current political landscape. Im gonna be honest here, i dont think the politics was that bad its clearly satire and exagerated but i understand why, what i would like the show to do is for a middle man between this two worlds to appear and i have hopes Ryan will be the bridge between them. Im hoping to see some of the crazy sups we saw in Gen V and The animated series, its always cool to see new superheroes and lets be honest, Sister Sage and Firecracker are just CGI Budget sups.
PD: Sister Sage has been amazing. I theorise she will die because she thinks she is better than homelander, and she will most probably die for even attempting to stand over him, which will happen, eventually.
I agree..Sister Sage is on limited time for sure. They did have a couple references to Gen V and I expect a cameo from someone on that show eventually...maybe towards the end of the season.

@@ShowtimeandJoysticks I think this is the hole purpose of her character, it's not that she doesn't KNOW Homelander will kill her in a blink for even thinking she is superior but she has somehow developed such PRIDE in her own KNOWLEDGE that she refuses to act like the "SMARTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD"
We will see in her character a dichotomy between EXPLICIT KNOWLEDGE and EMOTIONAL KNOWLEDGE.

idk if you're just noticing but the show has been ragging hard on the MAGA crowd since the latter half of season 2. Which is when the show fell off for me because Homelander was much more terrifying as a world-policing warhawk than as an incompetent buffoon who plays second fiddle to the supe of the week. It also seems to be backfiring on them as the more they turn Homelander into Trump the more half the fanbase ends up rooting for Homelander, and the writers can't seem to figure out why.

They like his character because he is a well written villain all of the fanbase at the end of the day think he is a monster. I agree mate I think the politics was a bit off putting for me. Not because I support MAGA (im not even american) I just found it to be a bit dead. I think a couple jokes would be fine but it was overkill. The people who are saying this show is far left really hasn't seen the show at all.

The MAGA jokes have been way dialed up this season bro. I loved the first 3 seasons, never had any issues with its satire until this season. Also I am still liking this season, I just think it’s weaker thus far than the previous ones. 🤡
I actually agree with the reviewer here. I'm a moderate who leans left, and I've enjoyed the show because it has poked fun at both groups of people. But in S4, all the Homelanders are raged cult-pyschos and all the Starlighters are sweet, reasonable, "just trying to help the world" folk. How about the liberal climate protesters gluing their hands to paintings and stopping traffic in Europe and the US? How about the MAPS that are trying to create their own dang flag and CA reducing punishments for sex offenders? I'm not trying to get political, it's just that...there is PLENTY of things to make fun of on the extreme liberal side and their views. I want to see both. The only saving grace is Firecracker pointing out how she was discriminated against because she was considered white trash.
