Gracie Holbrook lol Just had to put the most ridiculous way possible. I hate that "I'm here because of the playtex tampon commercial" and "I listen to this and I'm an aborted fetus" type shit people type to seem cool or fit in lmao
I was 5 when this came out and my 12 year old brother always use to listen to it and he passed this past year and I went back to listen to all of Em’s songs to bring up the memories. Such great times.
It's funny how Eminem was portrayed as a bad guy but still was one of the most "positive" mainstream artist this world has ever seen. That's proof that their weapons are use against them. I used to understand English since I'm French but I never understood what the lyrics were telling in his songs. No I sees it and wow. He's really an unbelievable guy.
I relate heavily to the third verse, I get goosebumps whenever I hear it. People - - we sometimes forget that our idols are human too and that they do understand what we go through because they went through similar times, but hearing them tell you like "don't worry, buddy, I know what you're going through. I'm here for you." that hits different.
This was my favourite song in 2010 when I just turned 11. I just turned 25 and it's still top 10 all time for me. Not many artists can pull that shit off respect.
The do, my son is 11, and Eminem is his favorite musician, he listens to his songs all the time, and memorizes them. Eminem is real, he is not afraid to show his fears and raw feelings-he will always resonate with the youth and he is a living legend.
In my opinion the greatest song ever made. Dream on by Aerosmith is just sweet. The remix he made and combined with that unique lyrics. Absolutely insane. The chorus/the best part of the Aerosmith song. And then the whole truth out of ems mouth. Heard it first in 2012 and it's still my all time favourite song.. (sorry if there are any grammatical messed up things, English is not my native language)
And what was great about this song too is how he kept the entire verse from Aerosmith’s part. And he took the beat and rapped with it and used Aerosmith’s locals too. Perfect mix.
August 24 anyone? 💙, I’m 19 years old and I’ve been listening to this since I was 6 years old. Em really made my lonely feelings feel justified when I was a child. It’s nothing but love 💯💯
I'm 14 and I've been listening to em since I was 8, not as long as u have been but enough to now realize the meaning of his songs and actually feel what he's saying and not only that but be able to recite almost all of his songs from memory! Love Eminem, ppl used to call me Eminem in school bc that's all I would talk about and I had a blonde buzz cut so I kinda looked like him too lol
I am 71 years old and appreciate Good Music. To the young, every generation gets a Messenger. you merely have to listen to the message and if it resonates with you, Do It.
Thank you for your wisdom older traveler, hope you`ll be around for many many years from now on so that such messages could "redirect" some people on the good tracks ;)
I can so understand what you are saying. Kids here saying "damn this is og rap" Like.. SHUT, bro like they were probably not here when this shit was brand new. I never call music old, music never gets old if your love for it is immense.
@@smokeman4696 Such an ignorant thing to say. Music changes and evolves to that current era, that's why when you here a song you can tell roughly the time it came out because that was the vibe then. This is old school rap, the absolute fucking pinnacle of music. I hear this and it brings me back to listening to ems albums with my brother when I was just a kid, the good OLD days.
15 years later and this song is still as inspiring and emotional as when it 1st came out! The one song that can inspire you but at the same time make you cry because of how beautiful this song is! Thank You Em For Everything.
Most definitely. Takes me back. I was 15 when this song dropped and was goin thru it. Probation and violations. I heard that sick bass line then that first verse hit me. Then came the “that’s why we sing for these kids who don’t have a thing...”. Absolute perfection of a classic Aerosmith sample along with his lyrical content and how he delivers it.
Sadly the vat majority of music listeners are heathens that listen to some of the most god awful trashy songs out there. Like some of the recent songs that have surpassed 1B+ views have some of the worst flows, lyrics and rhythms out there compared to their contemporaries that put their soul into their music
I heard this song for the first time maybe around 2017 which was when I first got into rap and into Eminem. Although I liked it, I never paid much attention to the lyrics until four years ago when one day my mom told me i was useless and the house would be better off without me. That night was the only night in which I questioned whether should I continue in this world. That night I cried myself to sleep while listening to this album on my phone. I can't say I am still alive because I never thought myself capable of committing suicide, but man, this song touched my heart so deeply that I can't even find the words. I hope to help people in some way in the future, if I ever get to, Eminem, it's partly because of you.
My friend was a huge eminem fan unfortunately he passed away in 2003 and this song was played at his funeral. Will always remind me of him, RIP Karl.

Eminem’s new stuff is good, but nothing can compare to the raw anger and passion em had early in his career

oh How much I've changed over the years, however still this song speaks to me this day. The day Eminem dies is the day my childhood does as well.
Also no Eminem song should be censored that's just wrong.

Every time I blast this song, I hear myself being described. I think Eminem is describing every single one of us Em fans.
We don't search for old songs, we search for the old memories they bring back.

We live in different worlds. When I go back to this song it's cuz I already want to die.
I was 5 when this came out and my 12 year old brother always use to listen to it and he passed this past year and I went back to listen to all of Em’s songs to bring up the memories. Such great times.

They say you will be judged at death ,but truth is ,that when judgment stops.
It's funny how Eminem was portrayed as a bad guy but still was one of the most "positive" mainstream artist this world has ever seen. That's proof that their weapons are use against them. I used to understand English since I'm French but I never understood what the lyrics were telling in his songs. No I sees it and wow. He's really an unbelievable guy.
harika

I relate heavily to the third verse, I get goosebumps whenever I hear it. People - - we sometimes forget that our idols are human too and that they do understand what we go through because they went through similar times, but hearing them tell you like "don't worry, buddy, I know what you're going through. I'm here for you." that hits different.

Such a shame kids today don’t see the absolute legend this man is! I’ll always come back to these greats. I refuse to let him be just a memory
I’m a kid today😉
I’m 12 and he’s my legend
The do, my son is 11, and Eminem is his favorite musician, he listens to his songs all the time, and memorizes them. Eminem is real, he is not afraid to show his fears and raw feelings-he will always resonate with the youth and he is a living legend.
Surprisingly, kids today do listen to Eminem.

When my nephew will ask me abt Eminem I will put him headphones on and play this album. EM spirit will live on through these lines for sure

Who is Aerosmith now????
@@b0_in_600 aerosmith made this song lol, this is a more of a remix by em

And what was great about this song too is how he kept the entire verse from Aerosmith’s part. And he took the beat and rapped with it and used Aerosmith’s locals too. Perfect mix.
Nobody hates on Eminem .. They just come say something negative because they think it is funny when the fans respond...
I actually hate em. He made people see dream on incorrectly. People actually think that Aerosmith made a cover of this song
SuperTheast I have yet to hear that from anyone?
Fancyslimshady look up dream on. there are people who have said that it is a cover of sing for the moment
SuperTheast Only comment I saw was Eminems cover was better.. Nothing about it being the other way around.
Fancyslimshady then you didnt go far enough. i saw people saying that dream on was the cover
It’s crazy to think that we call these songs “old” now...
Old but gold
i disagree. this is a classic. there should be a new music category for 'classic rap'
More 'Timeless'?

@@smokeman4696 Such an ignorant thing to say. Music changes and evolves to that current era, that's why when you here a song you can tell roughly the time it came out because that was the vibe then.
