Ok Tony, the handle moves and the button thing on top moves but it still won't unlatch. Any suggestions?? I don't want to saw off the latch on the frame if I can help it. Or any help from anyone else. 1989 Suzuki Sidekick.

Well, thanks to you. I was able to get my rear door unstuck what I found though was that connector metal piece from the locking mechanism to the handle won’t stay in the handle mechanism which allows no movement and the handle. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong.
This isn’t related the is video, was watching this because I was having issues with my latch and it helped me greatly, thank you! But I got a 94 geo tracker, and geo metro with the same exact issues, I can’t any of my light to work (headlights taillights runnin lights brake lights or dash lights) only lights that’s work is my blinkers and reverse lights, I’m thinking it’s my headlight switch but how do I test that? I’ve been working on it for a few days with no luck
I have a 95 tracker but the driver door is stuck shut. I already ordered the whole latch mechanism replacement from you guys but to get the door open so I can replace it is going to be pretty much same process as this one you showed in the video?
Sitting here thinking I’m going to have to do mine leaning over a sub box lol hey do you know how to reattach the seat lay down pull handle thing? Somehow someone snapped mine trying to let the seat down and I can’t get it back on lol does it screw on somehow or is it just broke

I have 95 tracker and the latch wont release at all. Any solutions to remove the tailgate in this case?
Did mine. Had to take the entire latch out to free it up.

Hi the Suzuki Grand Vitara Escudo 1998 could you tell me where the sensor that activates the 4x4 controls is located? The 4x4 feature in the vehicle is not engaging and no idea what to do
Yo Tony Do you have any suggestions on said tail gates hinges? I have a 97 sidekick 4 door. The pins holding the two half’s of the hinge together are rusty and the Teflon bushings are worn out . I have to pick up the door and slam it to get it to latch. I did put on a new strut at the top of the door. I don’t know if they make a repair kit for the pin and the 2 bushings or if I should be looking for the whole hinge. The door on the 4 door sidekick has different hinges than the 2 door. If you know where I could get them it would be greatly appreciated. Hope you are enjoying that High life.

Thank you, @Hwy83 SUZUKI!! I am the original owner of a 2002 Suzuki Vitara (137k miles!). About 4 years ago, I was having a hard time opening the rear gate so I locked it and stopped using it so it didn't completely break. Well, I have a tail light out. Your video helped me to fix the gate. I have a rear gate again!!! I can't thank you enough. On Wisconsin!
Some guys took my handle of to spray the tailgate and now when i close it, the entire tailgate keeps shaking what should i do?
Hey Tony! Have you ever had an issue with (what I call) a fluctuating idle? The idle is too high anyway, but recently when it warms up the RPMs bounce from about 2200 to about 1500. That is on my 89 Sidekick. The 95 has a completely different issue! LOL

my 1987!Suzuki samari door latches are broke,my tailgate latch been replaced with a sun baked bungee cord I found on hiway.but she still starts and runs lol. Is there any adjustments on samari clutch cable ? I thinking it’s just time to replace clutch pressure plate & throwout bearing.have you got a video on clutch replacement?thank you!
Yes -There is adjustment on the cable where it connects to the transmission.
