They were, though. No company should keep disloyal employees. They made a business decision, not an emotional one. Cube was never to blame. Good for Hyuna that she's happy now and all, but she was never really a victim. She made a potentially fatal choice (career-wise) for both her and her rookie bf, and accepted the consequences. They are both VERY lucky things have turned out so well.

(Which honestly, I don't have a problem with. Companies around the world, America too, have rules against in-office dating. It's not a SK only thing. They were kicked out because they went behind the company's back and revealed sensitive information without consulting the company first. They put the livelihoods of everyone who works at Cube on the line, as well as Pentagon's rising popularity and success. Things could have gone much worse. Yes, dating shouldn't be a huge scandal for idols in SK, but the reality is that it is currently, and Hyuna knew that and decided to potentially ruin herself, Dawn, and Pentagon anyway. Again, thankfully things didn't turn out that way, but that doesn't change anything for me. What she did was disloyal to her company and put a lot of people in jeopardy for selfish reasons. From a business standpoint (which kpop is first and foremost a business), she wasn't a victim. If she had gone to Cube first, they may have even allowed her to go public and protected them. (Other idols in the past have been allowed to go public. I don't doubt Cube would have allowed her to as well had she bothered to check with them.) But she didn't. I just can't like people like that. This is the last I will say on the subject. I'm not going to argue with people who can only look at it from an emotional standpoint.

Hyuna is naturally sexy and flirty, the over exposure of body and overusing her sexiness was part of the lack of creativity from Cube. She looked incredible in her Lip & Hip costumes (the really short shorts), but she looks really good here too, if not better. Cube didn't know how to show the different sides of her and, to stay relevant, they relied on her body. I hope with PNation she gets to have more freedom of expression, in the visual part of her music as well as lyrics and the songs overall.

Of course she seems happy with Flower Shower, but that doesn't mean she was unhappy with her previous songs. She had a lot of creative input on those, if you look at the credits of her past albums. People who reduce her past discography to "sexy EDM tracks she was forced to do" clearly haven't listened to her b-sides, etc. Cube were restrictive of her personal life (no shit lmao) but anyone who's been a longtime fan of her and not just jumping on the bandwagon post-relationship reveal know that she wasn't forced to do more mature concepts "just because". She's done a variety of them and never once said she was forced.
This sound suits her voice so well! She’s finally free to dress how she wants, dance how she wants, and sing how she wants. She has so much more freedom and she’s so enjoying it! I can’t wait to see her finally be herself!

(Which honestly, I don't have a problem with. Companies around the world, America too, have rules against in-office dating. It's not a SK only thing. They were kicked out because they went behind the company's back and revealed sensitive information without consulting the company first. They put the livelihoods of everyone who works at Cube on the line, as well as Pentagon's rising popularity and success. Things could have gone much worse.
Yes, dating shouldn't be a huge scandal for idols in SK, but the reality is that it is currently, and Hyuna knew that and decided to potentially ruin herself, Dawn, and Pentagon anyway.
Again, thankfully things didn't turn out that way, but that doesn't change anything for me. What she did was disloyal to her company and put a lot of people in jeopardy for selfish reasons. From a business standpoint (which kpop is first and foremost a business), she wasn't a victim. If she had gone to Cube first, they may have even allowed her to go public and protected them. (Other idols in the past have been allowed to go public. I don't doubt Cube would have allowed her to as well had she bothered to check with them.) But she didn't. I just can't like people like that.
This is the last I will say on the subject. I'm not going to argue with people who can only look at it from an emotional standpoint.

She looked incredible in her Lip & Hip costumes (the really short shorts), but she looks really good here too, if not better. Cube didn't know how to show the different sides of her and, to stay relevant, they relied on her body. I hope with PNation she gets to have more freedom of expression, in the visual part of her music as well as lyrics and the songs overall.
