The dummy knuckle coupler was used due to the space in the boards were used up when they used the whistle steam, thus the spot for the front electro coupler was used. If you want a working front coupler, you need to mod the board and give up the whistle steam. It is a disapontment. MTH should of spent a little R&D to make a new board with new added features. This is the same on the erie angus. And im sure it will happen to any front working coupler steam loco.

Got'cha! Hook front & back couplers in (electrical) parallel. Which ever way you're going, that coupler will be reclosed, while the one you're pulling away from stays open. So easy, a railfan could do it! @@mslickstrains

They had a 4 truck shay years ago, I seen one of them. This new release has all of the bells and whistles with DCS yea the whistle steam is neat.

they used a rod engine chuff rate the sha has 3 cylinders it chuffs 123,123, 123, not 1,2,3,4.

Beautiful model. But your narration is, well, "boring". You keep repeating the phrase "very nice" and of course the word "boring". You should write your narration and organize your thought to avoid repetition, etc.
