Well, at the weekend I replaced the old halogen landing light with an LED unit. I didn't have any assistance available, so followed your steps for cowl removal and it worked a treat. If you're ever down our way (Down Under), I'll buy you a beer!! Cheers, Jim.

I take the lower cowling of my J off and on with little problems by sliding my Craftsman roll away stool under the cowling, and raising it up to rest the cowling down on it and roll it out, then back in. People seem intimidated by taking the lower cowling off? As you have shown it's not that big of a deal. Safe flying!
