Brilliant. None better than you, especially when you take scraps and make them into art. I just discovered your channel and am in the midst of binge watching your videos--you never cease to amaze with your talent and vision!
Whom ever was your teacher should be very proud. So young and so much talent.
Steady rest the size of a car. It's always a pleasure watching you work.
Nice walk off. Go ahead you’ve earned it. Another beautiful piece!
That's beautiful Olivier, all from scraps, formidable !!!
Oh that is absolutely gorgeous! I'm living for that color play in the wood..
Hi Oliver, another stunning masterpiece, your work is always exceptional. Always looks fabulous. You are a master carpenter/ turnner, I love everything you make. Xxxxxxx
Lots of work but worth it. It is beautifully gorgeous. Stay safe and well. 😺❤
Ah, recycling at its highest art form!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Every time I watch someone turn something I am totally amazed to see the different kinds of wood there is. Now this is an awesome and stunningly beautiful example of the different colors of wood. Your work is outstanding. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Mat
Always love these videos, as I plan to do some of them when I'm old and retired lol
You are an incredible artist!
love all your work. i’ve made all these videos a nightly routine now!
Lovely. So talented.
Beautiful piece
Great job my friend!
Beautiful vase
nice work boy you sure have some nice tools for such a young man .
Tu es vraiment un artiste
Bravo a toi 👍👌
Beautiful, Olivier!
I really like turned segmented vases and hope to get on to my first one soon; obviously I would have to think of a different angle rather than simple repetition. Thanks for the video!
Very very nice! You should do videos on the making of your steady rest and your big drawer slide hollowing base.
Beautiful work and a gorgeous bowl 😀
Very beautiful vase
Thanks for sharing this and all the best to you
Beautiful. I love your tools rest setup for hollowing.
Nice job...as always!
beautiful colors!
Very Nice Olivier 😁👍🏼👏
Yet another beautiful piece you have made. ♥♥♥
Another amazing piece! You are so talented...love watching your videos 😁👍
An art work, well done!
Well done!!!!!!!!!!
Elegant,bold and masculine, stay safe
NICE work!
Beautiful.
very beautiful piece Olivier!
Very nice, a.ways wanted to watch one of these get built!
I love your videos and work so much. Especially when you goof off a bit (;
Beautiful piece!!
1:20 and 5:50 Very smart tools !!
Magnifique !
I really appreciate your videos, you are a very talented wood-turner. At about 2:55, you jump from cutting the base plug to fitting it in the smallest vase layer. How do you create the hole for the base plug? I would love to see how you get this joint so clean and tight - maybe on the next one?! Ah, in rewatching it, I see that the base is already mounted, so I figure you turned it, did you turn the plug too?
Yep, I turned both parts on the lathe before gluing.
You have got new gloves! Did you decide the black glove with the hole in the knuckle? Beautiful piece...as always.
First . . .
Love your work.
I wish I could smell the woods through UA-cam =))👊🏽
Man you're a pro. I never really went into turning, I did some though but not on this level. After accident did only a hand full of light carpentry projects. I get motivated watching you work and it might be a solution not too use much force in working with wood (implants) using my left hand to press down the chisel. Can you tell us more about why you chose the Stratos XL to work with? And are you willing to share maybe drawings from the extra wooden guiding-wheels-construction? As I guess you made that yourself?
I love it!
Gorgeous work. Have you ever gotten into resin and resin/wood hybrid work? With your design talents, I'd think that would be a logical step for you to take. (Edit: just saw the pasta bowl. Would love to see more, though.)
Creative concept 👍👍👍
Amazing design
wow that big frame of rollers really makes it look like an MRI. it’s so huge you could do a metre wide dish in that!
Well, they're scraps of wood to me but they can be transformed into an object of beauty when given to someone with imagination, talent & ability.
Magnifique
Thank you!
Very nice.
I really like the setup you have for boring. I assume you made the tool do you have pictures of how the bit is set up on the end? Or if you bought it let me know which type if you can. I love your style very creative and excellent approach
Oui
I have the same scrap wood bin!
Absolutely amazing. Great creativity. May I ask how long that took - start to finish?
Beautiful
Would love to see you make a patterned vase/object out of only thin vaneers!
Is very criyetive work ❤️🌟🌟🌟👍
Wonderful
How many clamps do you own? I'm genuinely curious...
Amazing work, as always.. You've definitely earned my subscription!
Klasse👍👍👍
You might want to consider making a few trompos. They are Spinning tops. I've never seen one made of different pieces of wood. Most make them out of one hunk of wood then painted different colors.
Wow that’s beautiful. I love the random pattern of it. What is the drum sander that you have? Also what is the hollowing jig that you have? Great work.
Love your segmented vases!!! How long did this take from start to finish?
13 hours
Salut
what tools did you use for turning the outside
Doesn’t that glue take 24 hours to dry? Do you like do several projects at once while it dries?
Like Neil would say,,, it’s scrap, it’s crap but some of the wood is good !
Salut Olivier quelle colle as tu utilisé ?
@@OlivierGomis Merci beaucoup
Tres elegante... :-)
He great video! love to see what you van do with wood! can i ask you, what setup do you use to film this?
kind regards,
a by you motivated supscriber:)
It is expensive because this man needs more clamps
Whould you tell me What did you apply on vase for shining?
Carnauba Wax
Thanks
Where you from? I want to buy that
I am from France, but you can buy it here www.etsy.com/fr/shop/GOMISOtournage
Avignon hair cut
Sekali kali bikin guci seperti ini tapi ukuran besar . Pasti akan bagus dan indah banget.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's a pseudo-random vase, lol. Because if it was truly random you might get like six brown pieces in a row somewher which wouldn't look good at all, would it :)
You're missing a bit in your calculation. Scraps + hard-earned skill + amazing in-born talent + synergy = expensive vase.
