I wonder just how strong Super Hatchiyack was, and if he'd be strong enough to take on Majin Buu... His appearance was so brief though, since he only used to take all those attacks at once, but otherwise was strong enough to beat the Z Fighters in his base form.
Guides state that in the Movie 8, Goku got 1000x stronger after getting energy from his Friends, and Hatchiyack was beating that same Goku. So Hatchiyack solos the Cell Saga but stops at Buu.
@lurchipoo the original OVA was released in 1993 for Playdia, a game console, that's why you see buttons to press in the screen, each button has different action, the remake in DB RB2 is just a remake from the main events of the 1993 OVA, the alternative events are here

So They're alot stronger in Hatchiyack than Broly. It's like in movie 6, Piccolo should be kamicollo and stronger than the saiyans, but when developing the movie they used fights prior as reference and made him much weaker aka not fused

Honestly I don't think LSSJ Broly is as strong as Perfect Cell; The versions of Goku and Gohan who fought Broly and Hatchiyack aren't exactly the same as the versions who fought Cell. Complete speculation but it's possible this OVA and movies 6-8 are in a different continuity where Cell never existed so they never trained in the Time Chamber and discovered FPSSJ and SSJ2.

I wish in RB2 they would have shown all the footage from these cutscenes, they fought more than just freeza cooler turles and slug, they went all over the earth to battle enemies at the gas generators, then they went to the dark planet, and yea wish they would have shown super hatchiyack and his multiform. would have made it a lot better.
