Большое спасибо за прогулку по Мерзебургу. Приезжали сюда 5 лет назад, были в музее авиации и в музее внутри замка. Чудесные воспоминания о городе детства.
Very well kept town! I love it! 2:39 Are those birds Ravens/Crows? Plus I loved hearing all the Church Bells at 6PM. Thank you for this walk! Brigitte in Tulsa Oklahoma USA
The Raven are kept as a reminder of a fatal misjudgement: A bishop in the 15th century accused a servant of stealing a ring. The servant was executed. Later the ring was found in a ravens nest at the castle. @@poptravelorg Oh Daniel, Thank you for sharing this Legend with me! I loved the longer version! What a story.... *The Merseburg Raven Legend* and it still is Honored after all these years with a Raven and partner in the cage at this castle! I am sure your viewers will also enjoy learning this power history, you shared with me! As you know, I am an avid bird lover! So seeing this cage here, got my attention and curiosity. So delighted you shared this HISTORY with me, and I will, as well, with many of my friends here in Tulsa Oklahoma, for many years! Sincerely, your Friend. Brigitte Coffman
This one is not, trust ,e. I lived there for 15 years, it looks nice on the surface but this town is dirty, ugly, and overrun with scum...I went back there this summer (I live in Tennessee curently) and it's only getting worse, these particular parts look nice but the town itself is awful
@@tobykicker83Your description from the old days is correct. I've been living in West Germany since 1990 and I have to admit that in many places it's now the opposite, unfortunately (2024). My friends from US, China and Japan confirm that. You would be amazed.
Очень красивый и чистый город! Много воспоминаний связано с этим городом! Но, вопрос, где люди на этом видео? Я помню этот городок наполненный молодежью на скутерах Симсон, полный жизнью....
There are a few places I like to visit in Baden-Württemberg like Bietigheim-Bissingen, Schwäbisch-Hall etc. yet they have to wait until probably next year. At the moment there are no plans, just a list of places.
Thanks for the walk through another German city. Good luck. I don't know what's wrong with my youtube, but again it didn't show my comment. Same with Split. I had to write a second comment...
In the middle age, Merseburg war’s on of the Residance of the German Empire, the Holy Empire from Rome, of the German Nations. ( Karl the Great, Heinrich, Otto, and so one)The Dom is more than 1000 Years old and the Merseburger Zaubersprüche are the oldest Words in German in a book. You Must see also a lot of historiacl Pleaces in the near of Merseburg, so the battelfield Lützen from the beattle Sweden Kingdom ( Karl Gustav Adolf of Sweden lost his live) against the German troups of Wallenstein. 200 Years after Napoleon feight against Troups of Preußen and lost the Final Battle in Leipzig in 1813. In Zwickau works August Horch, the father from Audi cars and in Dessau Build Hugo Junkers the First full metall Airplane, the legend is Aunt Ju ( Ju 52). Come in this verry intresting area.🤩👍
Thank you for this comment and details. As for Zwickau - I've recorded a walk there just about a week ago. When my laptop gets back from repair the video will be posted here - maybe in 4 weeks or so. Naumburg nearby was also recorded and should be posted sometime later
A other nice please is also Jena ( First Double Battle Jena and Auerstedt, # Napoleon 1806). Erfurt City, and Fortress Wartburg in Eisennach. Here translatet Martin Luther the Holy Bible from Latain to German Language. Its the Basic of our Grammatik, you now. Sorry for my bad englisch. My German is better🤩😅
During the school summer holidays most people leave for vacations. Without being a major city or tourist destination, the places are rather empty. On that day I visited both Naumburg and Merseburg by train and I'd suggest travelers the same for a day trip, in case they stay in Leipzig, Halle or around
lol, and here I thought this was one of those medieval towns that escaped the ravages of WW2 but nope, its historic center, among other parts, was totally destroyed.
