That's his wife! They have five children. There are so many of his songs to check out. This performance is part of a four song set he did at Austin City Limits, and every song is great. He did "Cold" at the CMA awards, which is my favorite. There's a live performance of a song called "Watch You Burn", which is about the Las Vegas mass shooting a few years ago. There's a cell phone video of him singing "Barely Alive" that's a must watch. "Sometimes I Cry", live at the Bing Lounge. "What Are You Listening to" he performed live for a radio station, you can find that one. A live, outdoor performance of "Arkansas", live performances of "I Hope You Dance" "You Should Probably Leave" and "Millionaire", all with his wife are AMAZING! That'll get you started, but there are many, many more.
He's got a ton of great hits beside this song he's got millionare, the devil made me think twice, you should probably leave, fire away, broken halos, a simple song, i was wrong, whiskey and you, was it 26, traveller, what are you listening to and many, many, many others. He's AMAZING and his wife as well
Leslie Jordan feat. Morgane Stapleton and Chris Stapleton "Farther Along" We lost Leslie last October but he was a unique individual and the world is a sadder place without him. It's gospel but regardless of your faith you can't help but smile when you listen!
That's his wife and mother of their 5 kids! Shes the one that convinced him to sing public. He has horrible anxiety so he stares at her to stay grounded and sane
The woman is his wife. She is a good writer or her own and is the perfect person for him to have married. Five kids later, they seem to be having a great life. She gave an insight I appreciated when she was asked about Chris' song, Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore. The story was that she was doing some makeup and hair work before they had to go out, so she told Cris to stop complaining and write a song or something. When she was done, he played her the song, which was a hit for him. The talk was about two things. The first was about how long she took to get ready. The second was about the genius that it took to write that quickly. I interpreted her statement as making the point that people like Chris never write songs. They look inside themselves and pull the songs out of what is already there. Think of Michaelangelo pulling out David from the block of rock, and you get the idea. Many Renaissance artists accepted that interpretation. Creative genius types are always doing things in their heads and refining their abilities internally before those abilities are called upon to do something great in short periods of time. To appreciate their genius, we must consider the constant playing around internally that come up with something that can be pulled out when the time is right. The two are great together.
Check out Chris and Patty Loveless doing You'll never leave Harlan alive. They did it at a benefit concert for terrible flooding in eastern Kentucky called Kentucky Rising. Also did it at one of the award shows.
Got to do the Timberlake and Stapleton performance at CMA’s. All of Chris Stapleton are great but if you watch the “Fire away” video get ready to cry. Just saying. Wife is great too. Thanks for sharing.
Live Chris is always best Chris. There's a tiny scratchiness in his voice that the studio smooths out and I miss on the albums. When he's on stage with his wife, even better. I'm sure you'll get all the major suggestions from others like "Cold" at the CMAs, the video of "Fire Away" and "Sometimes I Cry" at Bing Lounge, so I'm going to throw some left-field choices: "Whipping Post" - Live video with Gregg Allman in the audience (from the original band that sang this song). Gregg gives him a standing O. "It's a Man's World" - Fan video, so the sound isn't crazy good, but good enough. Live with The Shadowboxers. Invited to join the band from the audience. "I Hope You Dance" - With his wife Morgane for St. Jude's Radiothon. "Blue Side of the Mountain" - 2008 with a bluegrass band called the Steeldrivers, a band Chris was with before he went solo. There's a live recording floating around and it's just beautiful.
If you’d like to hear them sing with Morgane featured a little more, there’s a great video of them performing “Amanda” at the Grand Ole Opry. She’s an incredible talent in her own right.
I recommend “Cold” live at the CMA show. Or really anything live. He’s one of the only artists that I think is better live. Also, try “I was wrong” also at Austin City Limits.
Brother, come to Dallas.. You can park your car and walk from bar to bar to bar and hear live music all night.. Then wake up, take a shower and head to any number of fantastic BBQ joints.. We'd love to have you here.
@JonoGrahamReacts Chris is sooo much better live! Please react to his performance “2021 CMA Awards “Cold”! He won CMA’s & Grammys for it! Also “Sometimes I Cry (Bing Lounge)” performance!! Yes that’s his wife, Morgane Stapleton who sings harmonies on most of his songs! Great reaction! Excited to see u react to above songs! Thanks friend!
I would highly recommend the following: Fire Away Say Something with Justin Timberlake Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away live from the CMA awards with Justin Timberlake Like many others have said, there’s not a bad song that he sings. It’s a fun rabbit hole to explore.
So glad you enjoyed the video. Now let's see how southern country folk live with Hank Williams, Jr. - "A Country Boy Can Survive" (Official Music Video) ua-cam.com/video/3cQNkIrg-Tk/v-deo.html
Again such a great reaction I honestly watch for your videos. I have not seen you do a reaction to Tyler Childers Whitehouse road or I somehow missed it. My favorite from Tyler is I will follow you to Virgie. But he has such a great sound and Whitehouse road brings it all out in him where as I will follow you to Virgie is a song he did for a friend who lost his grandma and Virgie is the place there taking her to lay her to rest.
Would you check out a guy named Paul Thorn. He is an amazing artist that doesn’t get the attention that he deserves. That’s Life is my personal favorite. Even if you don’t react to it, please listen to some of his work. And on an aside, Go All Blacks! I’m from West Virginia, USA and I’m am All Blacks fan, but, the Boks are my number 2 favorite team. I mean I definitely don’t want the beast, Eben or Backas B coming looking for me. Lol, I do enjoy watching SA play.
I love this performance! Fabulous reaction as usual my friend. ❤ If you want to do more music, may I kindly recommend... Playing For Change - When The Levee Breaks ft. John Paul Jones of Led Zepplin (Led Zepplin cover), The Weight by The Band ft. Ringo Starr & Robbie Robertson of The Band (The Band cover) & Listen To The Music ft. Tom Johnston of The Doobie Brothers/cover. All will knock your socks off. ❤ Also, if you haven't seen his art - its more than music - you might check out Ren: Hi Ren - (the best introduction to Ren); The Tale of Jenny & Screech; The Hunger & Animal Flow are all phenomenal to kick him off with (in my humble opinion) or his busking! Peace Love & All That Jazz...
Another great live performance, and such a strong and unique voice. May I suggest a female artist that shares those very same qualities. Beth Hart is an American blues/rock vocalist and a pretty damned good pianist. The link is for the song that gained her notoriety originally, however her struggle with substance abuse and mental illness took everything away until she met her husband Scott who helped her wrestle her demons and made her comeback possible. The song is “L.A. song”. ♥️✌🏼😎 ua-cam.com/video/M3IFV1ywUoI/v-deo.html
I love how he sings to his wife! She gives him such support! Have you listened to him at the CMAs with Justin Timberlake. Wonderful duo.
Chris Stapleton sings Country Blues with Soul baby!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤

I get chills all over for this whole song. The live is better than radio version to me.
I recommend “Cold” live at the CMA show. Or really anything live. He’s one of the only artists that I think is better live. Also, try “I was wrong” also at Austin City Limits.

Do Sometimes I Cry live from the Bing Lounge
Again such a great reaction I honestly watch for your videos. I have not seen you do a reaction to Tyler Childers Whitehouse road or I somehow missed it. This version is way better than the official song. You could give Chris a run for his money beard wise but he has you beat on the hair.
