Genuine question for fans of Caleb Hammer that actually watched the video. What's your honest take here? I will not be responding, just curious what you think after watching this.
I didnt actually realize some of the people were paid actors. I think a couple months ago when the thumbnails were more tame and caleb was also more calm the show was better. Nowadays alot of the recent episodes are super over dramalized. Instead of watching edutainment (Education + entertainment). Its mostly entertainment completely with over the top guests + thumbnails and episodes where literally nothing happens. I dont think I will be watching caleb both because of this video and his general shift in directions with his content. Anyways have a great day everyone.
Honestly this video has confirmed a concern I had for the last few months. I could forgive the titles but ever since he collaborated with Stephen and money guys his channel has gotten weirder. I could forgive the titles but the thumbnails became more a kind to the predatory toy channels from the mid 2010 ( the Elsa and spiderman kind) then the kind of conversations got more out of line like he had a guest that admitted to getting money for hanging out with an older man when the 16 and it was glossed over quite frankly it shouldn’t have been in the final video but it was. Then thinks got a bit more sexually charged with the kinds of guests but what I found more offensive was his recent merchandise ads where it’s all financial sex puns like “ do you wanna eat my ass-sets” or “do you like Bond-age” it just seemed out of place but now it seems like a projection
dude offered the man a way to make money period there was always a choice he decided to act like a child and instead of saying " no thanks im not into that" he went on a slander campain even in the voice message he says U CAN SAY NO!. zekes a child
my mom gave me this advice and yea it's the best advice ever, people need to learn to keep their mouths shut but im glad weirdos keep self snitching lmao
With Gia I'm questioning her honesty mainly because I'm guessing DCFS got involved after the show due to her talking about the deplorable conditions her kids were living in.
Yeah. She didn’t really say she had no input on the thumbnail either. “Well we took pictures and stuff” could mean anything. I assume it was edited, but was she wearing a prop jail costume that said SCUM? if she actually wore that…. Wellll she knew. But that’s unlikely.
Where there's smoke, there's fire. Equally true is that grifters attract other grifters. Im not saying caleb in innocent, but it seems plausible for a former guest to turn heel and critique him if they think they'll get something out of it
@somethingsomething404 not to fully absolve her of any hearsay, but I did catch a short Caleb's team put out where they blatantly edit out the part where a guest corrects an amount he gave, which none of the comments picked up on and proceeded to berate the guest for. He's got some underhanded ways of generating content
i don't understand, zeke is saying he was only paid a few hundred dollars after the shooting, you say you have no idea if zeke was properly paid out or not, why did zeke just not show you proof of all the payments made to him in total since you're in contact with him?
Thing is though if the statement of him being a paid actor than “Zekes personality “ is all fake from what we saw in the videos with him and Caleb . Meaning he’s probably just an average guy trying to work and make money …
@@riverdaletales8457 I don't think he was a paid actor though. I think he is an actor that was paid for his appearance. But he clearly said Caleb had all his financial info. So it couldn't be 100% fake. There's no reason for him to have that info unless there was real advice being given.
The Zeke guy is EXTREMELY sus based on his own videos. That doesn’t mean this didn’t happen or what Caleb did isn’t wrong, but I feel there’s a lot of important info from the Zeke side that was left out. His own videos also put his final story in to question.
That behavior from a victim of sexual abuse isn't all that weird actually. And to the person crying that Caleb got lead on, Caleb manipulated someone with money to get laid, you're a pathetic apologists for insane behavior. Go get therapy.
I've seen most episodes of FA, and honestly Zeke (stealing money from his mom) and Gia (abandoning her daughter) seem like some of the most untrustworthy guests he's had on. Now, that doesn't mean they're lying, but I'd probably have an easier time believing all this if other guests who seemed more level-headed made accusations.
Zeke found the show via a casting call, so you can assume that his story is not real. If Caleb is hiring actors for the show, then it makes sense that they would be on a script. I don't think that gia has said anything about being an actress, but it's hard to take their stories seriously when there's proof that Caleb is hiring these people on. On top of that, one thing that's pretty noticeable when watching financial audit is he often gets people that have no money to come on to his show by paying for their travel to get them there. When you're in that position, you can't just leave. Not saying that this proves Caleb is a predator, but that is a common tactic that predators use to entrap their victims. Holding financial power over somebody makes them a lot more pliable. Yes, he said that Zeke can always say no, but that power dynamic makes saying no a lot harder.
But here's the thing. If the guests are paid actors then are any of the stories told on the channel actually true. Probably not. It's probably scripted. So you're judging someone's credibility based on the role they were paid to play. It seems very clear to me for a while that Caleb has been creating fetish content. It's basically poverty porn with a side of humiliation. Either towards females or very feminine looking men.
One thing i find quite confusing about the chat messages is the informant claimed it was supposed to be professional and they didn't discuss sexual stuff, but they all referred to each other as "super ho" and "has sex all the time?" I don't get the leap. Is the source trying to say they only intended to interact professionally but they were just cool with nicknames that were spectacularly unprofessional? What?
@@KealahaoI don't think there's any context in which saying "any hole will do" about a 16 year old would make it okay. At 23 Caleb would have been a college graduate and working professional. The 16 year old would have been a sophomore in high school with a provisional driver's license. I'll be fascinated to know what context Caleb thinks makes that okay.
@@erin9868 I didn’t say that the context would excuse the behavior but the context is not the one being set up by the informant. As you pointed out , no professional group chat would have those nicknames and talk about anything even remotely close to the topics shared on this video.
What didn't make any sense to me was that people rushed to remove minors from the group after that picture got posted - I'm sorry, WHAT?? Why were there any minors in that group chat whatsoever? The conversation immediately preceding that picture being posted was literally about gay porn and listing off their fav gay porn stars, and nobody in the group seemed to think such a conversation was unusual or wrong despite apparently knowing there are minors in there. I guess at least posting the actual image was a step too far for them all, but it's still pretty terrible they thought that conversation was okay with minors present. That was not a conversation ANY minor should be a part of.
Always love your work but don’t know about most of this one Scotty. Zeke showed an interest in only fans - Caleb leaves an awkward phone message related to that topic. I suspect he is struggling to come out TBH. Two adults, the message is awkward … Zeke could have just said no thanks. No big deal IMO. It is not completely uninitiated. The 16 year old comment is obviously problematic.
Everyone's getting hung up on the word "professional" so it probably wasn't the right word to use. I think the chat was simply a group of college friends who all majored in music / were aspiring composers
As an occasional watcher of Caleb's videos, they seemed pretty genuine back when he first started. Now it seems like the video titles are just mean, and his high-pitched frustrated voice just sounds like whining to me. I also never figured out why he doesn't get all of their financial documents and information beforehand, if you really want to help someone it's tough to do it without them. It became a much harder watch when he started to blow up, his ego seems to be getting in the way.
Maybe I’m old, but I thought I was a pretty moderate guy, but the conversations these guys are having in their chat or whatever makes me feel like some ultra conservative by comparison.
@@eszekeclesthis person seems to support Caleb and I gather they mean “now zeke will come for you next” because he got what he wanted, Scott’s platform. Not well thought out.
I think Zeke is 100% a liar. Zeke always was the one to bring up Only Fans and getting Caleb to "help him," find connections. If OF is the only place Zeke references why is he so shocked that Caleb left that voicemail? Also, once Zeke realized he wasn't going to manipulate Caleb by going on the show over and over he then turned to lying. If it was so bad being around Caleb why be so desperate to go on his show over and over? That makes no sense. If I actually felt that someone was "creepy or weird," I would never be so desperate to hangout with them again. Zeke literally has been the only one to be back on Caleb's show so many times. All of the texts between Caleb and Zeke are as professional as Zeke allows. I think once Zeke realized Caleb wasn't going to continue to give him the weird attention he thought he deserved he then pivoted and decided to make Caleb look bad. Also this video doesn't share all of the crazy stuff Zeke threatened to do to Caleb either.....
As professional as Zeke allows?? Caleb is 100% responsible for how professional he is, not Zeke. If Caleb wants to remain professional and Zeke won't, then stop responding. Don't send messages saying your fried wants to eat his ass, that's 100% Caleb being a casting agent for porn stars. He's probably getting a finders fee too.
Everyone talking about the actors thing, Scott phrased that very misleadingly. The people that came on the show were actors, yes, but they weren't acting or given a script, simply they joined from acting websites on which Caleb advertised his show because actors are more likely to participate. Not agreeing with Caleb and his actions as shown in the video, but Scott worded that extremely deceptively, which kind of casts doubt on his integrity for me.
Zeke was clearly acting (comparing his episodes with his interview to Scott), and Gia said that she was asked to “hype her bad parts” or something along those lines… so it’s at least partially fake.
That makes sense. I had noticed that a lot of guests were actors or actor wannabes. I though he was attracting an audience that wanted to use his channel to self-promote(and I still think there might be some of that too)
@@CBSP_ yes he exaggerated and I think that's partially explained because he was incentivised to do so by the commission (more outrageous content=more views) but there's a big difference between exaggerating your personality and acting. The way scott framed it made it seem like his videos are faked and looking through the comments that's what a lot of people seem to think now. Also the change in zeke's demeanor may also be him ageing? Its been over a year since his Caleb videos and I don't know about you but I act completely different to myself from 1 year ago, at this age your personality changes a lot (I am a similar age to zeke)
I mean I don’t see that as misleading they weren’t given a script but they were told to have a persona of sorts to make it more interesting which is really no different. You can’t say it’s not acting if you insist on emphasizing on people acting one dimensionally.
I do not like seeing people's private sh* ... Like if it's a legal case leave it in the court room. Not a huge fan of this coffeezilla esque format, but I don't see the due diligence or objective opinion. From the initial emails, I could see how Caleb might have been a little defensive by the accusatory language used, though I think he handled it fairly professionally. Not defending or saying Caleb is infallible, but the fact that Zeke even contradicts himself in the interview and isn't pressed further by saying he never threatened to kill him, but then he mentioned how he threatened to kill him to intimidate him? It felt less like asking journalistic questions and more like searching for someone's dirty laundry to support your narrative. I do hate those thumbnails though.
Bottom line is Caleb isn't just a content creator. By creating his business and courses and having people sign up for financial advice he's now a professional entity. For any business to even say a tiny fraction of the things caleb has said would be absolutely crazy. Surprised he's never been sued by a former client before
“Clients” more like victims. He making a living off of degrading people who have made poor financial decisions. I’m not sure clients is the right word.
As someone who has seen almost every episode ,his show definitely went from attempting to help to a cringy reality tv, add the thumbnails and his advertisements its become very hard to watch it especially when there are other content creators who do similar without the cringe
This is utterly shocking to me. I found Caleb's channel amusing and informational at first, but I quickly became annoyed with the near continual degradation of his guests and stopped watching.
Same actually. I come from financial background. I found it refreshing to see financial audits online but I slowly stopped because of how unhinged it became. While the guests, if the stories are true, need some wake up calls, I don't like them being degraded to that extent.
I was given a 15 day "ban" from his subreddit for agreeing with someone that I wished he would have more normal guests. He is the only mod on the subreddit, and the ban was given not even five minutes after posting my comment. I wasn't rude or anything. He doesn't want push back, he wants to clickbait and sensationalize because he knows what draws fresh clicks in. Dude sucks tbh
Finally someone actually said this! The moment he said he used to be a bully but has now since changed I called BS. He's still a bully just a more socially acceptable one.
okay so the one thing i dont agree with is that asian dude is comedian hans kim...ive watched kill tony for years and hans has said some absolutely wiiiiild shit. i know for a fact that thumbnail was a total joke that hans agreed to

Did Caleb name everyone? If so then he did create it. But there was kids in a chat he was being super sexual in? Wtf. Good thing someone was admit and able to remove the kids
because he probably wasn't the only one. It seems some people don't know what frat culture looks like. you incredibly stupid if you think he was the only one making out of pocket statements like this
Well basically the two people who he called out - zeke who threatened to kill him and has been trying to ruin him. And the woman who we said MID VIDEO called and blamed them for her problems are the sources. Not reliable sources
@@mikeyman1974 also from a guy that Caleb has complained about for a year of stalking and harassing him, mentioned WAAAAY before Scott got involved, can make up a lot of shit and threaten him (which he did)
@@brettschiller662 Scott’s entire channel hinges on the information being accurate. While he admits he’s skeptical of everything Zeke says the Audio message is pretty compelling and if the group chat messages are fake Caleb will easily debunk it seeing as he lawyered up there’s and doesn’t want to talk about it claiming it’s all fake with nothing himself to back up one has to wonder.
I am speechless, my brain cannot process your video. I liked Caleb's content (besides those offensive thumbnails), but around 6 months ago I felt there was a shift and he deliberately chose vulnerable/delusional people for his audience to hate- watch. he seemed like cool relatable guy, who was bit overwhelmed by success of his channel and choosing wrong way to evolve his channel, so lately i stopped watching. But screenshots of those chats, locker room talk or not, are disturbing. not sure why his comparison to the age gap between his grandparents and his to the 16yo is particularly concerning for me. Anyhow Scott, thank you for another great video, which made me stop and think
Maybe because a 10 year age gap for a 23 year old means that maybe 13 year olds aren’t off the table behind closed doors 😬 He reminds me of my ex (I’m gay) that turned out to be a pedo…
i have been a fan of caleb, for a while now and i find it disgusting that a grown man would say that a 16 year old is hot. I feel like its the same situation as when minilad flirted with his underage viewers.
Yeah and for all the people talking about 16 being ok, that's a sophomore in high school vs a college graduate. Nothing about that huge difference is ok

Completely. And his merch gives me such an ick. Like imagine showing up to Bank of America and your financial advisor lets you know he has a friend who wants to make porn with you
@@heyitspete6472 yes between the types of guests he has. The Thumbnails and what I find most offensive is his merchandise that he advises. Like a shirt that says “wanna eat my ass-ets” and stuff like that it just doesn’t seem appropriate but this new info about his weird group chat leads me to think he was projecting.
@@mikeyman1974the shirts a goof, you know how many times I heard that joke in accounting? I do agree though, he plays it up for the camera obviously, also the way he treats others is wild, if anyone were to ever try to talk to me like that after I requested for help, first off I wouldn’t be able to make it an hour on the show, I’d leave before I’d have the urge to teach what a figure 4 is. Even in a “tough love” situation, some of his actions are way more unprofessional than just having sex workers on as guests and scampy thumbnails.
@@Motherofchicken I get that it’s a play on words but for a show that’s supposed to be about taking finances seriously that kind of stuff is unprofessional especially since it’s not even his own idea like the “Taquitos” thing for example is fine as it makes sense with how he describes nonsense spending.
How is Caleb not cancelled after this? People don’t care that he posted porn in a group chat with minors? People don’t care that he commented how attractive minors are? Haven’t people been cancelled for much less?
Scott dropped the ball on this video. The first half is about Zeke and most people don't find Zeke credible, so they stopped watching the video early. The better tea is in the second half of the video. When I send this video to others I just link them to the second half timestamp
Ok the "asian guy" is a comedian who openly makes jokes just like that and more extreme even. I think thats a pretty lame argument. Im not arguing for or against caleb, just saying we dont need to try and paint him as a racist too.
I've been ven watching FA for a while now and yeah it's a little unhinged at times so I can see someone who doesn't know the show finding it very jarring. Otherwise, I am hardly ever surprised by the stuff he says lol
Both justifications of the conversation at 7 minutes were exactly the same (just minced into other words) and option 1,2,3 are all methods of relaying information… the zeke portion of this segment is honestly a waste of time…everything else is sad and disappointing
@@Stanimus Instictually I do not trust Zeke, solely based on the type of character he's been portrayed, but this could have moulded by Caleb. What I do know is Caleb's content seems to have moved more towards dramatizing situations rather than offering more diverse financial advice. It's turning more into a soap opera, with a pretty gnarly circle-jerk comment section. I also can't deny the switch towards more "sexually driven content", such as his dirty talk shirts and his more flirtatious attitude. What it means, I don't really know, but all of the things Scott brought up in the second half of this video is pretty rough... He has admitted to "being a bully" in the past, and all of these accusations really do make sense. This is a "media man" through and through. The end goal was money, and "financial literacy" was the avenue, which bastardized more into a Jerry Springer-type scenario, and he is riding it out and I can't blame him for this part; the people who genuinely wanted financial content will leave, and people who love drama will migrate. The part that icks me are the SA allegations, which I find extremely appalling.
I followed him when he was at 50k. He lost me when he vented to a guest about other guests. That was so inappropriate and uncalled for. Not surprised to hear he's a bit of a perv too.
My biggest takeaway is that I think Caleb is gay and in the closet hiding it. I also think Zeke is exaggerating his side of things because he didn’t like the way he was portrayed on Caleb’s show and this is a way to get back at him. Idk. That group chat Caleb was in and the stuff said is no bueno. But I still don’t think he should be canceled over all this. I hope he learns from it and embraces his sexuality openly.
As a a gay man, we do not claim him. I think pedo seems more accurate for him until proven otherwise. When I was 20ish I dated a 30ish year old guy who said “that kid will be hot in 5 years” about a 12-13 year old boy. He then cheated on me with a 17 year old with developmental delays. I hadn’t thought of him in a long time but this info about Caleb reminded me a lot of that creep.
@@somethingsomething404 - A) No one asked you to “claim him”, I find it so odd and self righteous when people say something like this - no one ever gets the right to declare they speak for any group of people unless officially designated to do so … if someone is my hight does that mean they represent all of us??? B) I find it unbelievably inflammatory and highly inappropriate to compare ur weirdo anecdotal story to the situation here -- I genuinely don’t even like Caleb and certainly done enjoy defending him, but it’s BS like this that fans the flames of cancel culture
@@somethingsomething404 this video provided literally NO actual proof that Caleb is a pedo. Caleb does not have to “disproof” anything. This video was a thrown together hatchet job with zero proof. If I really wanted to and had time, I could 1000% make a video saying all of these same things about Scott and keep everyone anon. The chats don’t even have time stamps, real names or photos for Christ sake. This is insane.
I'll admit, I am a fan of Financial Audit. But Scott, I do have some concerns about your video since I've been following all of this drama for so long. I watched it twice to make sure I fully understood what you were saying. I pasued the video, and it does show in that contract that they are not paid actors and that the show is not fake, but that they are coming on a reality show and that it would be real. Caleb has even talked about this in a few videos where he says local modelss from those sites are more likley to be able to hold conversations on camera, but that the converstations are still real and so are the finances. We've all heard him say this multiple times, right? Also, why did you not bring up that Zeke already had an O F? As someone who has followed this drama for a year now, it conserns me that you did not address how his allegations have changed multiple times and that he has deleted past videos that show he is faking this for attention. And why did you not bring up any of Caleb's past posts on this situation that provides more information? It does not seem fair to only include one side here when there is so much already online. The group text was very uncoforrtable and weird tbh. Again, I am biased, but I can see the dates in the messages history when paused, and this looks to be 6 years old at this point? I have a hard time when people try to bring up stuff like this when people were young and dumb with their friends over text or in person. Imagine if call of duty lobby recordings from when we were young were released. Is that the type of videos you want to make about people? I'm not sure that's fair or relevent to this video. And, I guess this does not matter, but I see Caleb post his girlfriend on his Instragram story all the time. I've seen lots of mean comments in here about his identity. I am concerned about the commission payout. I hope that is a misunderstanding or was resolved. I will be keeping an open mind for both sides. But tbh, this felt more like a nothing burger to me.
He was open about wanting that young boy even tho he was 23 then. That group chat isn't a cod lobby. It was a "professional " chat. If he was lusting about young boys like that he could have just talked to his actual friends about that not these people. Also yeah we all make mistakes but he was VERY clear about his love for you boys
Are you just gonna ignore that he basically tells guests to act like entitled @ss holes? Sure, the finances are real, but the way they act isn't, they are getting paid to act a certain way for views. Also a 6 year old chat is still very much relevant he wasn't young and dumb at the time he was 23 talking about 14-16 year olds like that is just disgusting. It helps give an idea of what kind of person we are talking about. It feels like the video only shows one side of the story mainly because Caleb never gave his side of the story, and resorted to threatening to sue instead of providing any of the info you believe could be evidence against Zeke, but Scott still made efforts to question Zeke and the chat member to try and get more info. It's not on Scott to try and clear Caleb's name.
I feel dumber and dirtier for having watched this video. Every party involved -- including the creator of this video -- have outed themselves in some way. And none of it's good. All this did was remind me that 95+% of this site's content is pure waste, and that people are very often weird and/or disgusting.
Stopped watching the guy a few months ago, he just got super cocky and pompous. Kinda glad to see my feelings are validated and it was his character changing/figuring out I did not like him.
His whole schtick is getting upset at poor financial decisions. He sounds like Mickey Mouse or some other cartoon character while he swears like he belongs on The Jerry Springer Show. He’s reactionary just for the views
I don't know about the harassment but his theatrics and low key mocking of his guests is a red flag. His reaction to you is also odd. I'll watch Ramsey tho.
I'm not a huge viewer of Caleb's channel, but it is a little weird that he's acting as a personal finance guru with no credentials in this space? From the couple videos I saw, the guy acts really dramatic and way too over the top for my taste. His recent titles and thumbnails have been extremely clickbait-y.
he wasnt like that at the start :( I used to like him but he got so annoying with the screaming and acting like everyone is so dumb. but he also cherry picks some dummies
Last video I ever watched was him vehemently begging his victim to sell her btc that she bought at 15k and was at the time 19k. Never opened the channel again after watching that. Never seen a “financial expert” so confident on something they know so little of.
I don't agree with any of it, but clearly Zeke has no qualms about porn, so how can he have any indignation just because Caleb is suggesting something gay?
mustve missed the part where caleb molested zeke after locking him in his house when he knew he didnt have any money to get home. why protect someone like this? unless youre a pedophile yourself o.o
He can have qualms about Caleb “vetting” him in person for it. What does that even mean? Caleb had already met him multiple times. What would Caleb be “vetting”….also if you read the chat Caleb offered to pay Zeke to drive out there (from San Antonio to Austin) so Caleb could “vet” him.
The whole threatening a lawsuit thing is easily the dumbest thing guys like this can do. I’ve been threatened with one for outing poor work in my industry. All it does is shine a spotlight on the folks making the threats, in most cases making things much worse. Great work as always Scott!
The dude only picks people who have made a decision that's laughable on a surface level like "I bought a range rover but i'm a stripper" etc. Basic grifter type person tbh.
I always thought it’d be difficult to get this many financially irresponsible people to admit their faults in front of camera to essentially to be mocked regardless if they are paid or not or receiving financial suggestions. Makes sense they mostly seem to be actors.
That's because these actors get a share of the revenue for their made-up tall-tales and obviously go with the most click-bait material. It's as real as Judge Judy.
You would be surprised to learn how many people actually do live this way. I would say, I personally don't believe that the financial part is madeup- either they get the statements from a real person and hire an actor to play that person on the show or, what I believe is true, they hire struggling actors and these people disclose their own sorry financial state on the show.
I don't think he even has the money to fund a frivolous lawsuit. He would get destroyed in Discovery and his lawyer would become a bigger enemy than his opponent. Filing a frivolous lawsuit would be self-destructive for him.
Right now, it's "this other youtuber says" and many people will either miss it or not care. As soon as a lawsuit starts, the news will start spreading and people take it more seriously. He has everything to lose by making a big scene.
@@defundhollywood3259 he'd save a lot of money by doing that and...the outcome would be the same whether he has a great attorney or he's pro se, he'll get destroyed in litigation. Imagine how damaging the depositions from Zeke and all the people he screwed over would be....
Full disclosure, I’ve watched Caleb’s videos for about a year now, although lately I’ve been having a hard time making it through the majority of the newer episodes. I do think some of the stuff you’ve highlighted (the OF message, the group chat, and asking Reddit if referring people to OF is such a bad thing) is highly problematic and certainly doesn’t do him any favors. Even if it’s not technically illegal, it’s not the best thing to do if you’re trying to act somewhat professional. That being said, I do think the people you’ve chosen to interview aren’t the best character witnesses. If what they’re saying is true, it’s certainly troubling. But I’m going to need something more concrete than a couple of disgruntled guests. Overall, I appreciate the effort but I feel like this video is underbaked. If you ever make a follow up episode, I’d be interested.
I'm a Caleb VIEWER, I have a hard time saying I'm a "fan" of most people I sub to here 'cause like, I don't know them, I just know what they use their UA-cam channel for. Anyway here's what I think after watching this: 1. You're right that Zeke hasn't done himself any favors, and also correct that his allegations can be viewed in a different light given Caleb's past behavior around teenage boys. That was important context and I'm glad you provided it. 2. There are definitely some Caleb fans who have a weird parasocial situation going on with him. As you mentioned, this is true for most creators, but he does set the tone for how the guests should be perceived. 3. I have a hard time believing that Facebook chat was supposed to be for "professional purposes" when everyone's screen name was a sex joke. Having said that, it is clear that Caleb was making people uncomfortable regardless, so it doesn't really detract from what appear to be real messages that happened. Anyway, I don't watch all of Caleb's videos because I find them kind of repetitive and boring, and your statement that the show is just Jerry Springer for financial advice is spot-on, and I'm not very invested in the channel, so I find your video inoffensive and well thought-out, and I appreciate it.
I think 3 was probably due to it being a college/near college dirty chat but with probably a lot of straight people which you are going to make uncomfortable if you start posting gay porn on either due to trolling or because your gay. I think Caleb is clearly gay or bi with a heavy lean towards men but trying to stay in the closet..
What he said at 17:12 is a common occurrence to see in individuals who work in the finance industry. Not intending to make sweeping generalizations here, but many finance professionals I have encountered exhibit a condescending attitude and tone, particularly when the topic of money arises. It is rare to come across a certified finance professional who is both knowledgeable and proficient in their field, who also is able to communicate clearly and respectfully…
I don't think a lot of people in the comments realize that this video is simply showing the info gathered so far. It feels like it only highlights one part of the story because Caleb never agreed to give his side of it. Also i don't understand why many people are focusing on whether Caleb's show is fake or not when that's probably the least important thing in this entire video lol.
It literally states that this is one side of the story because Caleb outright refuses to discuss this like an adult, instead lashing out at people who bring it up. That's nobody's fault but kalebs though.
@@Nick-ue7iwI mean, if they are thinking of taking zeke to court then his lawyers would absolutely be correct in telling him not to do a video call with a drama channel. It’s just a smart business move.
@@Nick-ue7iw I don’t think that’s why, regardless of if he’s innocent or guilty of the claims. He’s probably building a defamation case against Zeke so talking to reporters isn’t a good decision. It doesn’t look good for him tho.
Are you saying that the finances Caleb reviewed were not real? Recruiting guests from Backstage doesn't make it illegitimate if the financial review was real.
@@arawilson they did not state that anywhere, the reactions and stories told by the guests are fake or exaggerated is what they mean. Same with literally any reality show.
"or if you don't think adults should be commenting on the hotness of kids" Exactly. I thought that was a hilarious setup to that line as well. Good writing :)
If outrage over such behavior actually resulted in people doing it less, what's the problem? Shameful things are shameful, so I don't get the moral pretense. People like Gia openly signal who they are, but on the same token, people who do these drama channels are usually not good people. The effectiveness of such shows is suspect: It's probably not channeling any outrage to an effective end. It's just your framing that is wrong.
To play devils advocate (not that it matters with all other info considered) couldnt the former friend just be someone who wasn’t hella close to him but claims to be with an opinion that’s informed by watching his UA-cam channel along with other false accusations? I ask because I lived with someone for 3 months then proceeded to never talk to her or spend time even though she was on my social media and she claimed she’s known me for 10 years when she decided to spread rumors about me, as if we were actual friends.
that could be the case but we're pretty clearly shown in the video that these aren't just rumors, there are screenshots, and caleb doesn't deny their validity
@@coolndizabled We have a guy who's a known liar and clout chaser accusing him and a completely anonymous group message chat (which alone isn't even anything predatory) that has yet been confirmed. Yep... Let's label the accused a predator with no evidence lmao
Bingooooooooooooooo! Jk im going to wait and see till I actually form an opinion. I like his show, but if that is him in that groupchat, its definitely sus
The way Zeke is all up in these comments, though. 😅 Honestly, love both Scott’s and Caleb’s channels. I’ve been following Scott longer, and was surprised when I saw Caleb’s community post. Not a huge fan of the thumbnails, but I do love how exasperated he gets about all the debt… but that’s because that used to be me in all that debt and it took 20 years to get out of it. I’d be willing to bet he has helped many more people than you think. TBH I’m not a fan of hearsay or giving a platform to it. People nowadays think because they provide a part of a story and a piece of receipt it makes them have the true side of the story. I am not the judge and jury for someone’s character outside of a UA-cam channel, and I think this is a problematic practice in general. Everyone with their moral superiority and outrage out there but NEVER acknowledges their own flaws.
As a fan of Caleb Hammer, I find it unfair that he denigrated Scott Shafer down to the level of drama channel. That said this video relies HEAVILY on rumours and sources that are skeptical at best. Many videos often have a slam dunk where Scott Shafer goes in for the killshot but I really feel like this just didn’t have enough substance. In addition in the latest 5 or so episodes Caleb Hammer has tried (although roughly) to rehabilitate his character on the show. He’s toned down the yelling, admitting at least once per episode he is no an expert, and has began referring out guests for mental health services. To me he seems like a rather callous, raunchy individual but not truly someone that deserves to be cancelled.
This is the first time I've seen this channel. All I see is reaching. A 2023 ostensibly "professional" groupchat with someone with the handle "uncut" (gotcha: Caleb pushed the raunch envelope). A guy who thinks he can make it big on Onlyfans, and wanted to make connections from Caleb's channel, gets offended by an offer from some dude. Maybe there was inappropriate touching -- even grifters *can* be inappropriately touched, but not yet sure. A woman chewing on camera explaining that viewers tried to doxx them (which is bad on the part of the viewers).
This video is meant to show the information collected thus far. Scott mentioned that he is still collecting information. I’m sure more evidence will be revealed.
@@hornedgod2873 Ive been watching scott shafer for a fair bit now and he usually has a slam dunk in his videos, especially his last couple have been journalism gold (i.e. the gold broker one). But this one I was honestly expecting something more than just group chats and voice messages. Even scott shafer basically just said it was inappropriate. Man I come here for coffeezilla-like content not rumours, if he has more evidence he should’ve waited
@@hornedgod2873 Thats good because hes yet to show evidence for literally anything related to the initial claim. 100% deserves to be called a shit-drama channel for this one.
I see two possibilities here. The first is that Caleb is desperately trying to cover up this situation knowing that shit like this ends youtube careers in a flash. The second is that he really is innocent and is simply acting over emotionally because of someone targetting his livelihood. Its possibly he's unfairly lashing out. Which is actually true? We'll have to wait until all the evidence is released. Both of these options explain his behavior.
@@ajr993 you mean after his first response? but even then, tell that your lawyers told you don't talk. don't go aggressive against the person, that asks
The deleted Reddit thread of him asking if it's inappropriate to ask his guests about OnlyFans unprovoked is pretty damning. I see that as tipping the scales towards the former possibility.
Interesting this could be one of your bigger expose videos and you don't hype it or market it to your social media pages that you uploaded it. You are a coffeezilla want to be on this video. You didn't really provide much context to almost any of the "evidence" and the last person said that there were doxing attempts on her. She stated in her episode that she lived in her broken down car. But was in a house eating away. So sometimes you have to wonder how much the people on the show want to use it for their own gain on social media.
It's hard because I only know Zeke from the show and he was such an unlikeable person on the show. It's like when an actor is too good at something, it's all you can see. I can't see anything but a crazy person now. It's like everyone thinking Anna Farris is dumb because its all she plays, but shes actually pretty smart. We just have a hard time believing it because she's known for being dumb. Everything else is weird, and not uncommon in the gay community, so its totally believable. Edit: His channel, but mostly TikTok has helped me clean up my finances because I dont want to get bullied.
It's finally here! So first and foremost, i still hold the idea that zeke is sensationalizing his experiences with Caleb. Him admitting that he threatened Caleb's life and doxing his studio location doesn't guarantee forbearance, imo. Second, the group chat screenshots are quite the smoking gun! I don't think there's any real way that those texts can be taken out of context like he suggests in his email. At first I thought it would only be one or two, but as 10, 15 then 20 total screenshots came through it got wild fast. Lastly, in terms of Caleb's content... Once you've seen one, you've seen 90% of them 😉 jokes aside, there's not much variety in his show. I'd love for him to do more financially "well" people like myself (I assume myself to be a score of 6/10 using his own scale) or even 10/10s with millions in assets and no debt. There would be so much more to learn from a variety of people rather than continually picking from the bottom of the barrel. Solid video Scott, it leaves some room for skepticism but it's overall a good watch.
Once I realized that really it's just gawking at the poor rather than trying to actually show different folks at different stages of life or finances I was done.
I think it would be too out of his league to do finances for richer people since he doesn't give investment advice. They'd be like "yeah I pay everything cash and don't need loans" and the episode would be over lol. I guess he could just interview them and see how much they are making or loans they had in the past or something but it's honestly kinda boring when everything is going too smoothly. That being said I agree with ones u watch 1 episode you've seen them all lol. Maybe that's why he wanted to spice things up lol
i feel where you're coming from. Why I believe it would be beneficial is because he could ask them about their initial beginnings. Their thoughts on whether having local credit unions vs online banks is more beneficial, how they get credit unions to compete for their business, what their experiences and mistakes were with maxing itemizations, thoughts on m treasuries vs bonds vs S&P500, and if any are first generation business owners how they began their business what structure of company they used etc etc. Huge opportunity for big boy talk.
@JeffroBurnes no I agree it would be beneficial and I'd definitely watch it if he got them on and there are a couple episodes of other UA-camrs going on his show and doing those kinda interviews, being a lot more well off and talking about what they did in the beginning, but they were definitely more boring imo, maybe cuz I don't have spare money to do anything with rn and more of it probably goes over my head. also I bet it's much harder to get those kind of people to talk about their money on the show. Him having on Hans Kim was cool but with those guests they still like to keep a lot secret as well.

@@ShaferScott your right! Hans most definitely doesn’t speak for all Asians, but he does speak for himself! He was/ is not upset about the thumbnails. @@KLEINisFINE you would be incorrect. A lot of Asian people did find it offensive which is why Caleb wrote a whole post about it on Reddit and pinned a comment on the UA-cam video calling them hater, he then took down the super offensive version of the thumbnail claiming the CTR was better for the less offensive version
The amount of comments defending Caleb is depressing. They only care about protecting him so they can continue watching people being berated by him? Why? With some of these people not even being real and he stiffed after paying them to come on the show?
How is hiring people to be on his show when it was first starting up count as being “staged”? If you pause at 5:34 and read the description of the work listing, he disclaims that they go through that person’s finances for learning purposes. Would you rather he just used unpaid people with zero media presence? Its good business strategy to use people that are already somewhat comfortable in he medium and then also to pay them for their time AND pay commission based on viewership.
Some people are willing to believe anything. Do you not get why it's EXTREMELY hard for anybody to believe that these actors were not acting when they say they were acting and were hired on the basis of them being actors? I bet you think reality TV is 100% real too and none of them are acting.

Initially I really liked his videos, but as time went on and the thumbnails got more, interesting, and I saw who he was collaborating with, I kind of just got disappointed and slowly watched less over time
I watched a few episodes after discovering him from Aba & Preach. In short order I got really turned off by the thumbnails that just insulted his guests and unsubscribed. Then I came upon this video which is not surprising at all. He gives me an uneasy feeling. He is so condescending to his guests who yes make poor money decisions but also don't seem like they got the best money advice growing up. They are also really young and if we are honest older people make those same mistakes. I wouldn't worry about him suing, he is just trying to intimidate. He definitely would not want discovery 😅
Very disappointed, I’ll now have to find something new to be background sound whilst I cook 😢

If Zeke was getting paid a commision based of the vidros performance, he would have a relatively stong motive to act over the top
Also Gia had an arrest warrant and literally fled the state to avoid prison 😅
Did you watch the second half of the video
One thing i find quite confusing about the chat messages is the informant claimed it was supposed to be professional and they didn't discuss sexual stuff, but they all referred to each other as "super ho" and "has sex all the time?" I don't get the leap. Is the source trying to say they only intended to interact professionally but they were just cool with nicknames that were spectacularly unprofessional? What?
I wondered the same thing. Problem is, these kinds of text messages CAN be taken wildly out of context.
@@KealahaoI don't think there's any context in which saying "any hole will do" about a 16 year old would make it okay. At 23 Caleb would have been a college graduate and working professional. @@erin9868 I didn’t say that the context would excuse the behavior but the context is not the one being set up by the informant. As you pointed out , no professional group chat would have those nicknames and talk about anything even remotely close to the topics shared on this video.
The one thing I find confusing about the chat messages are that they are obviously edited with mismatching fonts.
"We were in a professional chat group" - Everybody's nickname in the group is a gay reference
Right…nothing about this chat is professional.
Everyone's getting hung up on the word "professional" so it probably wasn't the right word to use. I think the chat was simply a group of college friends who all majored in music / were aspiring composers
As an occasional watcher of Caleb's videos, they seemed pretty genuine back when he first started.

Agree completely! I commented something similar
Not defending or saying Caleb is infallible, but the fact that Zeke even contradicts himself in the interview and isn't pressed further by saying he never threatened to kill him, but then he mentioned how he threatened to kill him to intimidate him? What do you think so far?
I just unsubscribed because I had no clue his video were paid actors. That is so lame.

That’s how it looked to me too
He was open about wanting that young boy even tho he was 23 then. That group chat isn't a cod lobby. It was a "professional " chat. If he was lusting about young boys like that he could have just talked to his actual friends about that not these people. Also yeah we all make mistakes but he was VERY clear about his love for you boys
@tobythompson199x how is it absurd? Don't tell me you like them young just like Caleb?? Omg
This needs to be on the top. Took the words out of my mouth.

You would be surprised to learn how many people actually do live this way.
Anyway here's what I think after watching this:

Atleast ramsey ain't been caught doing that
It's hard because I only know Zeke from the show and he was such an unlikeable person on the show.
Solid video Scott, it leaves some room for skepticism but it's overall a good watch.
thank you
Once I realized that really it's just gawking at the poor rather than trying to actually show different folks at different stages of life or finances I was done.
This is the youtuber a government will provide you if you can’t afford one
So, if Zeke was sexually assaulted and is saying he was on UA-cam why has he not filed criminal charges? That is a crime.
because it’s fake bro
Bingo.
you honest to god think the cops would help this situation? you have clearly never experienced the pure brutality of cops not giving a shit unless you are already dead. brain dead take
what exactly do you think police do for people when they report it? it rhymes with Mothing
I think he can wait like 40 years or something before he needs to file
31:00 lol can't stop eating for an interview.
I watch Caleb. It's funny, he has mentioned quite a few times how he is so worried about getting cancelled, well now I know why he was so worried!
zeke is so full of it lmao
It won’t be just Zeke. Watch
@@hornedgod2873 waiting
You are full of it
Not surprised. He comes off sketchy now, which is sad because he started out so earnest and genuine.
Calebs thumbnails and videos titles, are proof he care very little about other people.
Yeah it's always very click baity
Nah that's how UA-cam works to get views and he consults guests about the title as well.
@@mac001texasbarely former guest here from Sept 2023 and I was not consulted on title.
@@mac001texasI watch a lot of small to very large channels and no one has titles like that and they are still getting views. It doesn’t need to be that way, especially for finances which I think would stand the test of time since they are always relevant.
Well it made me stay away from his channel@@mac001texas
I knew it was too good to be true, and i bet he comes out as gay as a defense
Caleb's been posting a bunch of pics of his "girlfriend" on Instagram lately. Coming out immediately after this would be hilarious
@@glowing_rectangleI thought he struggled dating… and was why he yells at of models so much
They always do.
Well, we don't want that shit in our community.
@@zwicker5585 I get struggling with dating and not feeling like you’re worth it but it doesn’t give you any right to abuse someone
Jesus wept! Is YT just chock full of predators or what!!?? And you’re right he certainly is into the drama section of YT lol
Very interesting. The last 10 episodes have been off and way over the top on drama, I knew something had to be up. Turns out its all a play.
Gia no, you're on cam girl, wait to eat till after lmao I'm dying
Everything sounds legit except the narcissist claim. He does enjoy clout, however he has posted and said things that would be deemed self-degradation which is the opposite of what narcissists do.
Whatever illegal activity allegedly happened should be investigated by law enforcement
Yeah the word narcissist gets thrown around way too much
I apologize this is late. However self depreciation can easily be a trait of narcissism. It is with the intention of making people feel bad for them. They are still the center of attention.
Oh man I wasn't expecting to see this name on this channel or the story presented. Dang.
I love how the thumbnail has Caleb with a really unflattering face.
I took it directly from one of his thumbnails 🤷♂️
@@ShaferScott Touche. Wasn't meant as a dig at you bro, I actually love your content! Best of luck against whatever bullshit that Caleb throws at you.
I know a tool when I see one. Great vid btw. I love how you approach your research and objectivity.
I could see his narcissistic attitude after he grew in size, but this behavior wow. He is sick.
Caleb's videos have improved my life and I was originally going to write off this video but after watching it, idk.
I mean he could give good advice and still do horrible.
Tbf, you improved your life.
I was on the show Sept 2023 and he didn’t really help me much.
@@Youngpada121 Tell us more about your experience!
@@Youngpada121I mean, could you provide details? Did you take any advice? If not, things are certainly on you.
I agree with your last part. Calebs videos have gone completely off the rails recently. Idk if agree with the thumbnail part and i wpuldnt really believe what gia said because she seemed a bit off.
However, all his videos are is praying on people with mental health issues, yelling at them, calljng them stupid, etc. Sucks because his videos were good at one point.
Bro had me until around 29:20 ish lol. The “Asian guy” is Hans Kim, a comedian! Hans verbally said it was all in the name of comedy and not to worry about making jokes
Ya, Hans Kim doesn’t get to speak for all Asians. It’s offensive to them, it doesn’t matter that Hans said it’s ok.
@@ShaferScott your right! Hans most definitely doesn’t speak for all Asians, but he does speak for himself! He was/ is not upset about the thumbnails. If other Asian people want to be upset then that’s their right, but I guarantee most Asians don’t care. Also pretty misleading to give no context into who the “Asian guy” is.
Yeah, I used to be a long-time habitual Caleb watcher until I gradually realized he was a grifter and dubious person.
@@IowanMatthew683 Same here, I pop in every now and again but as soon as he starts getting unreasonably loud I turn ts off.
Damn Zeke better hope he didn’t sign an NDA lol.
Ohhhh dang the collab I was never expecting
How is hiring people to be on his show when it was first starting up count as being “staged”? If you pause at 5:34 and read the description of the work listing, he disclaims that they go through that person’s finances for learning purposes. Would you rather he just used unpaid people with zero media presence? Its good business strategy to use people that are already somewhat comfortable in he medium and then also to pay them for their time AND pay commission based on viewership.
Exactly. Caleb has mentioned this specifically. That this show self selects for actors because they're the type of people comfortable around a camera.
The people on the show are so one dimensional
Some people are willing to believe anything. Do you not get why it's EXTREMELY hard for anybody to believe that these actors were not acting when they say they were acting and were hired on the basis of them being actors? I bet you think reality TV is 100% real too and none of them are acting.
The entire premise of the show is helping normal people with their finances and you're like "why would you use normal people?". Your logic is ridiculous lol.
@@bobbygetsbanned6049it definitely helped me take care of my finances. I now have a savings account. Stopped Uber eats etc.. I don't watch him anymore because it's too repetitive/boring. But he definitely helped me
Initially I really liked his videos, but as time went on and the thumbnails got more, interesting, and I saw who he was collaborating with, I kind of just got disappointed and slowly watched less over time
Ive always wondered about the thumbs. It always paints the person as dumb. Why would anyone agree to them?.... Now i know!
Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. I didn't believe these are real people with real issues, they had to be actors or at least acting...
