Raylar Engineering has a great video on this job. They recommend using RTV instead of those rubber gaskets on the front and back. Let us know if you clear that code.

Just because you bought the whole tube doesn’t mean you have to use the whole tube.

I have an 2004 silverado with the 8.1 possible bad lifter, does that metal plate under the intake maniflod come off?
Yes it just lifts out
Was there an egr or anything on the back side? How long did it take you to remove it?
Not on mine and about 30 mins

omg dude intake gaskets are not that expensive...
I think maybe I'll use some weatherstripping adhesive or contact cement to hold on those China wall gaskets. Thanks for the tutorial.

Never follow this. Never use gasket sealer on intake. back yard bull shit. Not how to fix.
