I’ve recently been binge watching a bunch of bookshelf reorganization videos because they’re SOOOO SATISFYING to watch, and this is one of my personal favorites! Your shelves look really beautiful! And now I’m feeling inspired to shuffle my books around....... if you’ll excuse me............

so honestly this is the cutest book room and a great place, i hope when i get my first apartment i’ll have a good place to put my bookshelves because for some strange reason i don’t want them in my living room or bedroom which is gonna be impossible lol
I feeel that, whenever I move out I'm going to need a place that still has a room for my little office, it's just so comforting!

I love watching bookshelf organizing videos but they are usually so long. The time limit for this one is perfect! Loved the vibe!
Just a tip: You shouldn't pile up books like that, because the book in the bottom gets to much weight/pressure, and it could damage the spine or the pages.
And also putting books like this: \\\\\\ also damages de spine

You make all of your shelves look so pretty! Mine are pretty ugly right now lol because they are literally 2 deep and shoved to get as much as possible in it. Not getting any more shelves until I move either so...... they are piling up in my closet!
I've always looooved reorganizing things and my shelves are no exception! But I feel that, when I run out of room my shelves start looking terrible

I miss my books!!! Most of mine are in storage right now. 😥 Ityer than having access to reading from my whole library, I desperately miss organizing my shelves. That is something that has just hit me hard these last few days. I don't know why. I just miss it. So I have been scouring booktube for reorganization videos. I desperately want my own space where I can organize my books and have them all again. It will be so nice to get out of college a d get my own space.

I love seeing some of the books I love on your shelves! I’ve watched so many other videos and I’m over here like how have they never heard of/read some of these. Like I saw the Gallagher Girls series and The Gone series and wanted to just cry out in joy.

I just gave away literally 8 boxes of books. STILL have two of those bookcases worth. Downsizing is both fun and sad but I am always glad to know books can be enjoyed by many people. I gift to people I know will enjoy the book and who will pass along too.
I've actually been considering giving away some books! Since I'll be moving soon, but who knows if I'll be able to part with them 😅 Kudos to you, though!
@@BrittanytheBibliophile Yeah I kind of just had to go cold turkey lol. It's something that the more you think about, the harder it would be to execute.
My wife and I have a black cat, too. His name is Poe and he loves hanging out with me in my ManCave as my wife calls it.
Okay for real I thought I had a lot of books, but I’ve realized my amount is very minimal😂😂 this gave me inspiration to build of my collection lol😂
It’s so relaxing to watch this. When it comes to Harry Potter shelves I often worry about trying to fit the future illustrated editions in! Especially seeing as they have just announced Goblet of Fire and I’m scared of how big and heavy it will be and it’s not the biggest in the series. 😂
YES! I worry about it all the time, it's why I leave empty spaces haha

Impressive collection, makes me want to examine my shelves again. Can you tell me if there was a logic to the placement {besides series being together}. Did you sort according to genres {fantasy vs sci-fi} or sub-genres?
BTW I am not sure, but did you place books also on top of the cupboard, at least until you can get more shelves?
I did actually organize each shelf into genres!! Good eye 😊 and I'm not sure what you mean bu cupboard since I don't have one in this video, all the books were able to fit 😊
Sorry, what I meant is that I see 6 shelves, do they reach the ceiling of the room or can you put on top of the 6th shelf, as if you have a 7th shelf?
There are only 6 shelves but there is space above them if I wanted to use the top as extra storage! BUT I use them to display my stuffed animal collection of Stitch hahaha, and I put some of my larger books that don't fit in the shelves there as well

Am I incorrect in thinking that, unless the book is too tall, stacking it on its side takes up significantly more room? I understand the aesthetic appeal, but if storage space and having to buy another bookshelf is a concern, I would stack the majority- if not all- of the books vertically. Please let me know if I’m mistaken, I’m interested to learn.
There have been many times where I can fit more books into my shelves by turning some horizontally and stacking to the top and filling the rest of the shelf vertically!

I think it probably depends on the shelf’s height (sometimes in bigger shelves you end up with a lot of space above your books when you line them up)

They're really great! I'd probably categorize them as Sci-Fi since there's some Sci-Fi elements to it, but it could also be considered Urban Fantasy :)

I used to have that problem when I had shelves from Walmart, but so far I haven't noticed this happening with my IKEA shelves!
