Excellent workflow! And, as usual, very helpful hints - like updating all presentation with one command. Thank you, Ben!

    Well explained workflow!
Seems to be a bit of inconsistency between the functionality of Sheets and Slides in that Sheets will auto update, without human intervention, whereas Slides requires the manual step of forcing the update - or is there an auto update from linked sources option in Slides?

Thanks, Brad. That's an interesting observation. The way I see it is that Sheets is for data and so I expect it to change, but Slides is more of a final product, so I think it's helpful to see the changes. You can imagine that someone who is not aware of this workflow being caught out if the charts in their presentation change without their prior knowledge. Anyway, I think you could argue it both ways, but we're stuck with the update linked objects :)

Have you tried linking the data to a Google Sites website? I wonder if that would be a good way of letting colleagues see up-to-date information from a Form.
Re. the column headings (5:30) , I've found that you can rename and reorder them without affecting the function of the Form and Sheet. It is particularly useful for checkboxes which tend to have really unmanageable headings.
I have also removed all empty rows from the sheet that collects the Form data - a new row is automatically added when someone responds. That way you don't have problems with blank rows when using A1:C (11:20).

Thanks for sharing, Mike! I've not worked with Google Sites, but I believe you can add charts such that they stay in sync with the original Sheet. Removing all the rows is nice, but the information won't flow through to the pivot tables that way because the pivot table range references don't update to include the new rows.

I love this so much! I also love the flow of GForms + GSheets + GDrive + GColab. I created a short video tutorial I could share with some friends ua-cam.com/video/El14YhjPRhQ/v-deo.html but it is no where near the quality of your videos. Would covering some Google Colab integrations be content you would cover or that is outside your scope?

Thanks! Possibly someday, but it's not on the video roadmap at the moment. Focussing on Sheets content and then other Workspace tools for the near future.

Ive been desperate to find an essy way to use form as a data entry interface--like access--to search on the data entry form to pull reports and use the spreadsheet. Possible in xcel but difficult to setup
