i have heard many and many times (it s almost annoying) that the russian tanks aren t as well protected as the western ones. they were developed as a part of an offensive whole. since they were lighter, they could easily be maneuvered and increase speeds, produced in large numbers, and supported by artillery and air force, they became a killing offensive machine. that was the docrtine of the soviet blitzkrieg.
@@Warsie No shit, though the soviet doctrine worked around this, as cold war systems where specifically designed to counter certain aspects of the other's doctrine, armor where used in different roles aircraft had different capabilities that they needed to fulfill, soviet tanks had some powerful munitions and as a tank engagement only matter to who gets the first hit the soviets wanted to be able to maneuver as to have a lower chance of hit, it's an interesting time period to look back at, also the soviets where not retarded
It’s often forgotten that at the time they were as well protected or even better armored than their western counterparts. At the time they were introduced the T-64 and T-80 were the best armored tanks in the world, and the T-72 wasn’t far off either.
@@skyray5012 Hey SkyRay. I'm really badly looking for this one lost Warwave video that i have been unable to find since Mid-Late 2021. It was either most likely about Russia or Yugoslavia, with a track similar in beat to Back for Blood by Midnight Danger. I vividly remember the music genre, the ocasionally flashing subtitles and the brainwashing vocals in particular. Perhaps you can help me find it or direct me to other popular Warwave creators that i may have not seen yet. Could you send this to other people in the community that you know? Would mean a lot.
@@Alex_Guy1011 The only thing I could find was video about Yugoslavia with mentioned track, but it does not match with given description, sorry. ua-cam.com/video/dIPww6agc6E/v-deo.html
Finally a Soviet edit that isn’t just clips of Zapad 81

Yea but tank to tank that shit might be risky lol. Also NATO has an air force and artillery lol

Western artillery is like a gentle rain, Russian artillery is a permanent flood.
A bit like the leopard 1 which was also 'poorly armored and therefore bad'
