Re-uploaded with better quality* From Wiki: Hrafnsmál (Old Norse "raven song") is a fragmentary skaldic poem generally accepted as being written by the 9th-century Norwegian skald Þorbjörn Hornklofi. Hrafnsmál largely consists of a conversation between an unnamed valkyrie and a raven; the two discuss the life and martial deeds of Harald Fairhair. Due to this, the poem is sometimes referred to as Haraldskvæði. Lyrics of Hrafnsmál: Kunna hugðak þik konung, þanns á Kvinnum býr, herra* sinn, Norðmann; djúpum** ræðr kjólum, roðnum rǫndum ok rauðum skjǫldum, tjǫrgum ôrum ok tjǫldum drifnum.
Hlaðnir vôru hǫlða ok hvítra skjalda, vigra vestrœnna ok valskra sverða. Grenjuðu berserkir; guðr vas á sinnum; emjuðu ulfheðnar ok ísǫrn dúðu.
Þá eru þeir reifir, es vitu rómu væni, ǫrvir upp at hlaupa ok árar at sveigja, hǫmlur at slíta en hái at brjóta ríkuliga hygg ek þá vǫrru þeysa at vísa ráði.
At berserkja reiðu vil ek þik spyrja, bergir hræsævar: hversu es fengit, þeim es í folk vaða, vígdjǫrfum verum?’
Grenjuðu berserkir; guðr vas á sinnum; emjuðu ulfheðnar ok ísǫrn dúðu.
Hǫmlur at slíta en hái at brjóta ríkuliga hygg ek þá vǫrru þeysa at vísa ráði. Full poem w/ translation: skaldic.abdn.ac.uk/m.php?p=text&i=1436
