Honestly, this version of the story feels like such a love letter to the original, while still being able to stand on its own. The voice scripting, voice acting and characterization is all just absolutely perfect, and honestly is much more entertaining to watch than most modern TV shows. I have a lot of nostalgia for this series, and I honestly have rewatched this video more times than I’d like to admit - I’m just honestly in love with this rewrite.

@sjaoa she's never said anything about this, and Honestly, for as big as Sophie was... she was pretty private. So it's hard to find details... but its been so long since the last upload that at this point... I feel it's best for Fans and Views to... not expect anything from SophieGTV's channel for an undetermined period of time... and if she does upload.. then it's a nice surprise. But if she dosent... then she dosen't and life moves on :)

I like how sage was done here. A good guy- but flawed. He has standards, won’t let himself be mistreated, But he tends to swap girls really quickly.
I also love that it’s implied he has dyslexia. Poor guy.
I also appreciate Alicia and Rachel getting personalities-
Jenny and Lena got more too! Overall really great.

It also made me watch the original popular series, and while the original is definitely darker, I love both of these. And I especially love your humor. I really like how you cut out the whole part where Brooke told Sage how Savannah bullied her etc. (which caused them to hate each other..)
I always found it weird how sage was ranting to Savannah’s how everyone saw him as the stereotypical dumb jock, but then played right into the stereotype. This entire thing was amazing, including the outfits! 🩷
I love how you pay attention to detail, writing on the desks, the trees passing while she was in the car, the LPS MOLD you used as a mannequin I love it!

I’m half way through and omfg WHAT IS HAPPENING I haven’t audibly gasped while watching anything before! Especially an LPS drama! The hints at a sapphic relationship, the fleshed out secondary characters and the new story elements are really keeping me glued to the screen. Truly genre busting!

alright, alright, watched the original series as a little kid with no cable television and very little access to the internet until i was a teenager, so to see that's there a WHOLE ASS REBOOT as a senior in college is absolutely wild to me. holy shit, the production quality -- audio, the sets, the character 'models' -- i am blown away. i have a midterm i should be working on, so having this playing in the background will do wonders to make the task less tedious.
you put a lot of hard work into this. thank you bringing back a scrap of my childhood; i'm definitely going to look into season 2 as soon as i finish this whole 'movie'/season 1 and have the time.

I did not go into this with very high expectations,but I have to say, I ended up loving it. the narrative style is reminiscent of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants with an odd touch of Sex in the City. It deviates from the original enough to clearly be it's own thing and most of the voices were pleasant enough. giving Lina her own separate personality was amazing, buuut with both being yellow cats, I wish Brooke had sounded differently. the scenes when they talk to each other can be like listening to an internal dialogue making it confusing hurr ❤️
Season two will forever be my favourite. It was a good call making it college age over high school.

I watched this in one sitting, and I'm completly blown away. I'll admit I teared up a bit in the end when Savy and Brook reconciled. The editing, voice acting, camera work and writing make this one of my favorite videos on the platform. I love how the characters were written, so much charm and personality, the props and set design are so well done! I love how much the characters changed trough the season, I love love love love!!! That Brook has a crush on Savanah, I love that you brought up Brooks neglectful mom is the cause for her awfulness, I love that you gave Leena and Jenny actual personality instead of just being Savys supporting background characters. Im just so happy that this exists and fleshes out and completed the lps popular series :]

Ive never really been into littlest pet shop but I remember about when I was seven I collected nearly all the pets I never knew it was popular in UA-cam aswell I have heard of this "lps popular" before and what you made it very good! Especially with toys I could see this being on Netflix with actual actors your story writing is impeccable

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! an lps popular tiktok came on my fyp and it made me miss it all over again, i honestly forgot abt it! but then someone commented u had remade it and it got me so excited. i love this sm how u incorporated a lot of the og but made it so much more. brooke has so much more depth now and their relationship seems more complex. i wasn’t one of the people that used to ship brooke and sav, it never rlly crossed my mind as a possibility but i honestly like it! it makes a lot of sense and has me shipping them so hard now. please tell me they are endgame!!

I’m just glad we got some kind of ending to Savy and Brooke’s story. I really wish the creator of the original series had just been honest and said “I don’t want to continue this series”, but instead she started uploading these weird shorter videos that added no value to the story but raked in a bit of extra cash. It felt exploitative and disingenuous, and she really duped her audience and kept leading them on.
I especially think this is an issue because the series covers some heavy themes, and does so very explicitly, and there was never any healing done for the characters, it was just cut short in one of the darkest moments to keep the audience hooked and worried. If you work with LPS, obviously a good portion of your audience will be quite young despite the subject matter you cover. The way it was dragged out and got darker and darker and was just kind of abandoned just does not sit right with me.
I’m very glad you didn’t do that, and you added diversity and healing to the series. Great job 😊

Sophie literally had an accident?
In her new channel Sophie said in a comment that she's struggling with chronic pain and that she does want to finish the series but she's busy with her new business and the pain she still feels from the accident.
This is an old comment but it's very, very inconsiderate and awful to accuse a chronically ill person struggling with pain after a serious accident of giving up and raking in extra cash in an exploitative way. There was never any proof of this, so even if Sophie hadn't announced her injury, this is an incredibly mean-spirited thing to say. Even if she DID abandon it, that would be okay, too. Content creators do not owe you FREE content for the rest of their lives. They can move on and do things they actually want to do. I hate the culture around content creation and how creators are expected to give free content to their followers forever.
Anyway, Sophie has chronic pain. Important to remember.
