I just need a drink at the water fountain. *Developers:* Huh? What was that? Add a water fountain? *Head of Dept:* Yeah, that's right. (walks away to take said drink) *Developers:* Welp, you heard the boss. Start coding in a water fountain. *Other Developer:* Should we add a health benefit for when the player takes a drink? *Developer:* Nah, just make it look pretty. That's all that matters.

They didn't _have_ to include a functional water fountain. There's no thirst mechanic; no buff to being fully hydrated. But the absolute madmen actually did it. They put a water fountain in there solely for flavor and immersion.
this video saddens me. This game probably used to be some little girl's favorite game. A game that she can't wait for the loading to complete. The water fountain may have been genuinely interesting to her. Now, the game's being sold in a good will store for 50 cents. Ultimately, maybe our life isn't that much different. 100 years from now, maybe everything that we hold dear isn't that different from pressing the X button on a 3D water fountain.
the difference between a good game and a bad game is that a good game is playable by people no matter how old the game is- today's gems may still have some hope as people still play pac-man, a game which is over 30 years old.

i only owned 1 barbie game, the rest of my games were legend of zelda mortal kombat mario i liked the purple moon games, sucks petty controversy shut the company down. also got sims and tomb raider. the barbie ga,e was my choice and it was the horse riding game with the desk top pet. It was a cute game. not all gamer girls got girl games. These were targeted to the unknowing parents and grandparents to "look cool"
Thankfully, my family was poor, so there was no way my parents were gonna shell out cash for the only girl among 3 brothers 😂 i got to play incredible games like The Bouncer, Fur Fighters, KH, Street Fighter EX3, Dragon Quest 8... Though I was a chicken when it came to more rugged games, so I sat back when they played Manhunt, GTA and Left 4 Dead
LGR has the best laugh! I love Duke Nkm Barbie, the Barbie Duke voice.....LGR should play girl games more often. I laughed from about a minute in until the end. Nice job!

@Timothy Bates I agree IMO if you don't then you just don't have much soul & spirit in you. I find it really nostalgic & infectious especially since I love Deep House it's really relaxing & it takes your mind somewhere else to a alternate world FR.
What I have learned in this episode of LGR, It is almost reasonable to believe that Clint could piss himself at a water fountain. Barbie likes in line skating and snow boarding but isn't very good at either and DUKE NUKEM is chopped chicken liver....hahahha :P

I have a 10 year old girl and she looked at this and laughed....She prefers "Portal 2" or "The Sims 3-Pets".or "Left 4 Dead" She plays that with her brother. The Sims are the only girly game she likes..LOL.
***** My daughter is smart and knows it is a video game. She isn't weak minded and I don't blame music, videos games and movies on violence. My husband played "Left 4 dead" first and o.ked it for her to play.

I was given Phantasmagoria when I was about 10, along with the step-by-step solution. It made a huge impact on my mind and for years I was recalling some of the scenes, even though I only played the game once. It was not scary, rather some creepy and uncomfortable feeling every time I thought of them. For I long time every horror/gory movie or game reminded me of Phantasmagoria. To be honest, now I wish I hadn't played it being so young.
little known fact: barbie was actually developed by garfield creator jim davis in an attempt to bring his franchise "to the 90s", though any connection to the fat furred felines world were cut early on in development. there is a picture of odie in kens trunk though
In a game with a fixed camera like this, controls relative to the camera are better than relative to your character, think like Resident Evil with it's tank controls.
My sister used to have several of these Barbie video games. One was Barbie Sleeping Beauty, another was Barbie gymnast (don't remember what it was called). There was at least one more, but i can't remember what it was. Still, i have to admit, they were strangely appealing. 😅
